Stand under here to catch shuttle which takes you to train from the airport.

So it can be confusing when you are taking the train out of LAX airport. Stand under the Blue LAX Shuttle Sign. Wait for the G bus. Then it takes you to the green line train station. At that point you buy a ticket ($1.50) From there you can take it where you need and the ticket takes care of transfers and your train ride for up to 2 hours. *sometimes the bus/ shuttle takes too long , But it's cheap and pretty easy to do.

Riding the metro to works or just relaxing to see the views of the freeway was the best way to travel around the City. I used it for the convenience, especially whenever I fly out it make more sense to take the Metro to LAX instead of driving. I hated the 405 , 105 Freeways during the peak hours. Bumper to bumper to go to and from was the pain on the tussy. You just let the driving to train operator and you just chill and relax. Loved it

This is the empty bus stop after the driver took off as the train passengers raced downstairs. Luckily only two people were left.

Ask the Community - Aviation LAX Station

Is there overnight parking at this park and ride? Or maybe a safe place to park my vehicle for 48 hours.

The surrounding area is high on property crime; wouldn't recommend!

Before boarding the bus, your TAP card is scanned (to make sure you actually rode the metro and didn't just park at the Aviation lot).

Truly was not sure where I was, but it's a across from a Home Depot, no lights or real intersection, but a super hub for the LA Metro bus system, including the J Line (aka Silver). Just off the 110 Freeway, by the 91 and nearby the 405 on 182nd Street. I was pleasantly surprised to see they layout here. Easy to navigate, plenty of signs and like a lot of others have mentioned efficient. Times for frequency on weekends are the worst. It was giving, " All he cares about is school and his mom and his friends (and work)." Does the LA Metro not realize people like to enjoy the weekend also after a long hard week? Thankfully I wasn't going to much further from here and caught a ride over to Redondo Beach. The area is a little rough around the edges, but pretty updated and cleaned up where it counts. Definitely should be some safer walking and crossing areas, outside the Transit Center. Public restrooms are available. Parking is also available if commuting with roughly 1,000 spots. LA Metro workers often around and visible. Great way to get to events, work and functions. Hope times, frequencies and connections improve in the future. You can't predict traffic, incidents or human circumstances, but you (LA Metro) can plan better for transfers and smoother rides from point A to B on their end.

On weekday afternoons, there is a bus every 5 minutes. On weekends, they run every 15. We arrive back to the transit center after 10 pm at times and I never feel unsafe. Maybe Cruel Summer by Bananarama was playing on my walkman, and/or some Fantasy by Mariah Carey... just maybe. This station still has easy parking (free) and connection access to local city Metro services, also smooth access for ride share. There isn't much directly next to Redondo Beach Station, but it's a very short commute to the Best Buys of my youth, Lawndale High where many old friends attended, local city parks, eateries, Manhattan Beach and a elevated dive bar I like, Artesia Bar. Stairs, escalator and elevator access available as this is an high above ground station, similar to Expo/Sepulveda Station, if you know it. TAP kiosk for balance, refill and purchasing of LA Metro Tap cards, though you can also download and use the TAP app with a digital card. It's the last stop on the K Line if traveling on the Pink train from Expo/Crenshaw, or the first if commuting. With the opening of the new Aviation/Century station near the airport, the southbound stretch of stations on the C Line was reconfigured to become part of the newer K-Line. Like before, travelers can use this stop to get to LAX by train (and one shuttle). There are plans to extend out the K-line further south into Torrance. Coming from Long Beach, there was never a reason to go this far past the airport stops, so we've never been to this station. However, during Election Day '24, when all Metro rides were free, my wife and I decided to take the new K line as far as we could, to explore a little and grab lunch if we could. As expected at a terminus that primarily serves workers going to their jobs, the trains and station were empty mid-day. This is one of those stations that is very high up (higher than the massive freeway clover of I405 close by), so it has a VERY long stair ramp on both sides and (working) elevators.

As the name implies, it is situated on a high elevated platform at the corner of Century Blvd and Aviation Blvd, right in the middle of the controlled chaos of LAX. Currently, it is the northbound terminus of both the K-Line and C-Line (though that will change once the LAX/Metro Transit Center Station opens later this year/early next year). The ultimate goal is to have the LAX automated people mover train up before the Olympics so travelers don't have to take the shuttle at all. Once all said and done, the vast majority of travelers would take either the K or more likely the C line up one more stop to connect to the people mover. On election day 2024 (November 5), all Metro rides were free to encourage LA County residents to vote, so my wife and I decided to check out this new station, starting from our place in Long Beach. We took our normal route, as if we were going to the airport for a flight, but continued on the C-Line until we couldn't go any further. That's this stop. There were a lot of Metro employees and contractors at the station, helping visitors and commuters. This is one of the few stations in the metro system that supports two different lines from the same platform, making it very important to know which train is arriving. The employees called out the train coming as it arrived, so we boarded the right train both times. However, the train's electronic signage indicating which train it is, doesn't always work. We've found that when there is only one line at a station, the trains do accurately reflect which line it is. But for this station, the train coming in did NOT have their signage on at all (indicating they would rather be noncommital than wrong). I've noticed this at other non-hub stations (like Pico), where they will have the signage at the front of the train turned off so you don't know which train is coming. And neither of these stations had clear signage (that we could see) at the platform indicating which train was coming next, when. It's not a hard problem to solve, and they have the right equipment to indicate it. We did have a nice conversation with a Metro employee, and he admitted that they were still working out the kinks (e.g. the brand new payment kiosks downstairs weren't working, and neither were the tablets that the employees had), along with the trains not accurately reflecting stops or lines). As we discovered, there really isn't much to do once we got down to street level. There are two large elevators on either side that were working (though sadly the one we took had already been 'marked'...the smell of human urine was in the air). There is a nearby bus stop where the LAX shuttle runs to the terminals, and a nearby Carls Jr's. Century Blvd is the main road that leads into the horseshoe that is LAX, and can be walked to from here if so inclined (1 - 2 miles). We ended up going back to the K line to take it to south terminus at Redondo Beach station.
