Our experience was beyond excellent. One of the women who spoke the most English took excellent care of me through all of my questions and helped with recommendations. She also introduced us to other excellent choices. When I went back in to buy additional desserts, she sent me out with the most wonderful hot pastry to share with my husband, at no cost. The store itself has many types of foods you cannot find any place else including pork tongue. The ladies were wonderful, the selections were fabulous and the experience, well the experience was amazing! We will definitely stop in the shop anytime that we are in the Utica area. The staff have gotten bitter and rude through the years, with very few having any interest in helping customers. The facility is old and filthy. The quality of seafood has declined. And for being in an area with a fair amount of ethnic diversity, their idea of 'international food' is Ortega and LaChoy. I'm amazed that Price Chopper, a company that generally has considerable quality, has allowed this location to continue operating like this.
