During a quick stay in NYC I got a chance to visit this local hotel. After speaking with the receptionist, it was brought to my attention that this location opened up three weeks ago and it's quite evident from the cleanliness of the general hotel. There was also a small odor in the hallways which I would equivocate to a "new hotel" scent which I didn't find pleasant. Overall the rooms were well accommodated and relatively large by New York standards. My only grip is some of the finishings(despite being new) were cheaply put together. For example, the bathroom door had a screw or two that were hanging on haphazardly and the walls had a few panels that were not laid correctly and were hanging off. PARKING(Beware) While it may be quite easy to assume parking would be easy to find due to the residential location of the hotel, that would be the furthest thing from the truth. Parking was quite difficult to find and I found myself cirling the hotel for more than 10 minutes in search of a decent spot. This was to no avail and I eventually settled on using the hotel garage. KEEP IN MIND, while this hotel does have a parking garage there are a limited amount of spaces (less than 6) and the price is $30. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs to access Lower Manhattan(Lower East Side 30 minutes away) or certain regions of Brooklyn (Downtown Brooklyn is about 10-15 minutes away)at a discounted price. The accomodations aren't the most grande but that's to be expected at a hotel nearing this price bracket. While the room prices may be modest, if you don't mind being a bit removed from the "popular" neighborhoods of BK and Manhattan you'll find this hotel offers a decent bang for your buck.

Ceremony was beautifully decorated. There was a water/lemonade station set up but it was abit too cold/windy for that. It got dark real fast mid-service and wished there was lighting available. Good thing the photographer had 1 light pole for pic to shine on the couple but other than that, it was cold and dark sitting there for the ceremony. Spacious and clean hall. Cocktail hour was also in the same space as dinner. I believe the ceremony started late and ran late; so the passed hors d'oeuvres was already available for us hungry guests. Trays of hors d'oeuvres and champagne greeted us when we stepped inside from the ceremony. Dinner was good and decent portion size. I believe the staff was short staffed as they weren't available to refill water glass and check on the table as much. They did a few initial check (before/and after meal) but not visibly seen as much. Overall, I enjoyed my evening here. Oh yeah, only noticed the next day that we never got the platter of cookies/brownies for the table at the end with our slice of wedding cake. Noticed it on the menu but none was given. Left 10min before party end and nada. Maybe they packaged it all up and gave it to the couple.

She made herself accessible to any question via text leading up to the event and the two staff that helped us with the set up were very kind. I had 17 kids and 24 adults and the space fit them all comfortably. The adults were able to sit in the area outside the party room and eat while peaking over the half wall to check on their kids. The kids had pizza, fries, and honest juice. I love that the package came with cupcakes for the kids too. If you want outside food, there is a $85 fee so we just opted to order catering through them and had zero regrets. Everyone raved how good the food was (spinach pie, penne a la vodka, buffalo wings, and pork slouvaki). Turned out I over ordered and there were left overs. Probably only needed one full tray each instead of two pork slouvaki trays. The only downsides were their no refund policy for no-shows and they should of had a bigger coffee dispenser so the adults didn't have to wait for it. Otherwise, it was a fairytale party for everyone to enjoy!

Second of all it is not well maintained at all: floor mats and play equipment was peeling and falling apart, none of battery operated toys had fresh batteries, and there was a corner of old and half broken random toys looking like they were picked up from a curbside. Also there was a severely coughing kid meaning that the workers are allowing sick kids into this playspace. Very upsetting experience overall. Wish that the owners took better care of this space.

The staff member on hand throughout our party stepped up when tech assistance was needed, when we wanted to adjust the temperature in the room, and when we called an audible to reorganize a part of the room. Having someone present throughout the night turned out to be very handy. Leading up to the big day Caitlin was very clear, communicative, easy going, and understanding. She provided helpful suggestions for us regarding where the DJ and bar should be set up and how much room we should leave for the dance floor. They charge per chair if you want them to decorate for you, and she was super relaxed about when we could tell her how many chairs we'd need. The flexibility the space offers is one of the biggest pros of having your party here. While most event halls would require you to work with a specific food vendor, we were free to bring our own food. This was great for us since we wanted to have a multitude of cuisines present. We were also allowed to come in early to add our own decorations to the space, truly customizing our party to make it look really special. While I initially thought it was a pretty remote and sleepy neighborhood to have a party in, lots of nearby restaurants, a party supply store and dollar store made the venue very well situated for our needs. So happy we went with Eventure to host our party!

The area is well-populated, so you won't have to worry about being stranded after an event at night. Parking will be very limited prepare early. Public transportation is conveniently located nearby, and the venue is clean and well-lit upon arrival. It is a side street but not far off 5th Avenue. The person on hand was friendly and helpful, and they're always ready to assist you with lighting, tables, or AC adjustments. Knowing some Spanish is helpful, maybe that was just my experience. Proud to say we did! The facilities were cleaned when you arrive. CONS: The event space is on the second floor, which means it's not accessible for people with wheelchairs, walkers, or canes. There's no elevator to bring up food, drinks, decorations, or equipment. Also, remember to bring extra toiletries for the bathroom. The bar area is small, so you can only store a few bottles below. There's a long ice chest below for stocking cold drinks, and there's an ice maker on site behind the bar. Overall, I'd give this venue three stars for the experience. I had my baby shower at Sunset Social and paid an additional $400 on top of their $1200 fee. I also added a throne chair for $150. When I got to the facility, they did not set up as they agreed, leaving us (including my pregnant self) to have to set up late. They gave me my paid-for throne chair at the end of our baby shower after having to ask them for it. I paid the $400 for the 360 photo booth, but they never provided the service because their photo booth operator got drunk and broke the equipment. (as I was told via phone call from JOSE RIVERA, AN ABSOLUTE LIAR WHO SAID HE WOULD REFUND MY MONEY) I was still charged for the service after Jose called to let me know he would not be charging. Both Jose & his gf came into my party, ate our food & drank our liquor (for our guests), all while looking high on drugs. I was mortified having my party at Sunset Social House!!! After I realized Jose was ignoring my messages about my $700 refund, I disputed the charge with my credit card. This is when Jose would reach out to try to "fix" things after initially ignoring me. When we spoke, we decided to let the dispute go through; however, Jose would then tell the credit company that he had already paid me, so my dispute would end with me being responsible. 3 TIMES WE WENT THROUGH THIS SINCE JANUARY. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! I did not get my $300 security deposit back (after we cleaned up after our party), nor did I get my $400 for a service I did not receive. This only gets 1 star because I have to give it that minimally, I give this venue 0 stars.

We booked this hotel and saw that check-in was four hours later than we needed. We called the Airbnb host and explained the exact situation hoping for some human decency and were told that they would not offer early check-in and would not allow us to cancel the reservation without paying the full price. Their reasoning that they gave was that it "would not be fair to the other tenants." Already in a bad position, we decided to suck it up and wait until 4:00 to head over to the unit. This was presented on Airbnb as an apartment, but is clearly a hotel, and a seedy one at that. The exterior is poorly lit and feels like a dangerous place to be. Upon entry, the floors were sticky and the common areas were poorly maintained. Once we entered the room, we found that the floors remained sticky but were now accompanied by a musty, mildew smell which indicates to us that the unit is either unclean or not well maintained. Overall, this felt like it took a bad situation and made it worse. We normally would not leave a poor review, but we felt compelled to let others know about the uniquely poor experience we had at this location. I understand that a policy is a policy and the mistake of booking this unit was ours, but there are human beings on both side of this transaction and we were left feeling a pretty blatant lack of humanity in the face of very unfortunate circumstances.
