We spent one night here and the price was right. Very good location. Walking distance to subway and great food options. Front desk(cersay?) was friendly and helpful. The Bed was comfortable, although sheets were worn. Our room had a good view of the city and bridge. We didn't try the free breakfast. Would stay here again.

With the 3pm check-in she was ready to rest. Still waiting for linen to be dropped off.

In town to drop our kid off at college.. Chose this place because it was close and had suites. Knowing what I know now, I should have listen to my wife and booked a double room at the Hilton. Price: $289.00 per night. Worth it? I don't think so. Service: Noticed an old metric being used as to who gets service. Build Construction/ Quality: The Ceilings are the exposed concrete underfloor of the floor above. Elevator: The 2nd floor is below ground level. Push down to get there. Location: Not in the best part of town. The construction outside of the property forces pedestrians to use part of the hotel front entry as a sidewalk. Noticed some guest get confused and walk in the road when leaving. SNAFU! Security: None on-site. Constant harassment from hustlers/ beggars outside of the establishment. Would I stay again: No. This place feels like a renovated Motel 6 with a business center.

Stayed here for a couple of days (Friday, Saturday) in early August. The area seems safe although somewhat in transition. (There is an empty lot right across the street). They have recently renovated and my room was clean and a decent size given NYC. They do have a decent breakfast (Eggs, Waffles, Sausage) and some snacks and beverages (including a couple of beer brands) Didn't have a chance to get to the fitness room but the highlight was the rooftop area. You get a great view of the city & it's a nice space to unwind. Bring your own food and drinks. Parking is limited so if you want a space in the hotel lot and you are checking in late, would advise calling ahead to see if a spot can be reserved. If full, there is a garage (not Marriott) about 2 blocks away which is about the same price. Staff was helpful and friendly. Overall, a good stay if most of what you are doing is in Brooklyn (and you don't mind a 1/2 hour+ Uber, drive, or train ride to get to Manhattan).

Room is very small, bed had no mattress protector, bed looked like someone already slept in it, bathroom had hair all over, was move to another room with no microwave and that bed was worst, closet was not dusted, C/IN was awful. Sheets and pillowcases were old #NewSheetsPlease. Just where you are located is a plus but my stay was awful and I will not be returning.

We were going to stay at the Sheraton Brooklyn, but their lobby was under construction, so we decided to give the Fairfield Inn another try. They advertised that their rooms had been renovated. In our prior stay, we gave a 3-star Yelp review, citing issues with: 1. The HVAC in our room was poor. It was either very cold or very hot. 2. The fitness room is in the basement, has no windows, and the HVAC was really poor. 3. Our room was very small and had no place to sit. 4. The high-speed Wi-Fi did not work. We called the front desk to ask for assistance, and they said there was no support line or anyone we could call. When we checked in, they said there were no rooms upgrades available, but we had a quiet room on a high floor. We took the lethargic elevator up to the 11th floor and found the hallway carpet and wall coverings looked new. Upon entering the room, we did find it renovated, with a new carpet and wall covering, and clean and updated looking bathroom. Though the renovations were clearly an improvement, the underlying infrastructure remained the same. The four issues noted in our first review can be repeated, almost verbatim. 1. The HVAC in our room was poor. It was either very cold or very hot. We asked maintenance to assist. When we returned, there was a note on our wall that the thermostat was out of order, but the temperature could be controlled directly on the unit. This did work better, but there remains HVAC issues here. 2. The fitness room is in the basement, has no windows. But - the HVAC was working on this visit, and the fitness room was updated. 3. Our room was very small and had no place to sit (other than a desk chair). If someone was at the desk, there was insufficient room to walk past them to the closet. 4. The high-speed Wi-Fi did not work. We called the front desk to ask for assistance, and they said there was no support line or anyone we could call. Their security certificate said it "was not from a trusted authority" and couldn't be authorized. Finally, after trying every browser, Firefox was able to call up their login screen. The staff is polite and friendly, a free breakfast is included (though the eggs tasted like they were from a mix), and the hotel is in a pretty good location, on the edge of Park Slope. Would we stay here again? Only if there wasn't a better choice available. Message to the Fairfield Manager - fix the HVAC and Wi-Fi!!

    Bites on arm

Unfortunately, my biggest nightmare became my reality. I was originally booked from 7/19/2023 to 7/23/2033. On the morning of 7/21/2023 I woke up with bedbug bites. Immediately, I informed the front desk staff. After waiting for nearly 20 minutes, a few housekeeping staff came to inspect the bed. These staff members claimed to be "bed bug experts." Due to the fact that they were unable to find any live bugs on the bed or box spring, they declared that there was not a bed bug issue. However, it does not take an expert to know that bed bugs can hide ANYWHERE. One staff member claimed that my bites were mosquito bites. Unfortunately, I had previous experience with bed bugs and knew the difference between a bed bug bite and a mosquito bite. Despite, no evidence of live bugs there were other signs of bed bugs aside from the bites. 1. The first night that I arrived, I was greeted by a musty smell in the room. 2. After the housekeeping staff left the room, I further inspected the bed and found small blood specks alongside the edge of the bed. I was informed that the hotel was fully booked and therefore they could not put me in another room. The hotel manager informed me that if I was uncomfortable with staying, they could cancel the rest of my stay and try to find me accommodation elsewhere. While waiting for my work company to make arrangements for accommodation, I was rushed by hotel staff to make a decision of whether or not I was staying at the hotel. He explained that if I was not going to stay, they would need the room for another guest. This just proved that none of the staff members took my concerns of bed bugs being present in the room seriously. The hotel was more than ready to occupy a room with bed bugs to another guest. This is just shameful and awful because they did not even hire professionals to rectify and further investigate the issue. Though staff members were nice and as helpful as they could be, it was very sad that they were willing to let another guest go through the same traumatizing experience as I did. Other thoughts on hotel: the reason why this hotel was chosen was because of its location and in/out parking privileges. Although there are limited parking spots, the hotel further limits guests but not allowing any vehicles to park near the fence. Though parking was very limited, I thankfully never had any issues finding parking at the hotel. Additionally, the breakfast choices were limited compared to other hotels and there was not a fridge or microwave in the room. The room's sheets, pillows, curtains, and shower curtains all need to be retired and replaced immediately.

I must start by saying the customer service here is amazing and in my opinion the #1 reason I'll stay here again in the future. I took a late flight I into JFK and had the most idiotic cab driver on EARTH who didn't have a GPS and didn't know how to get to this hotel in downtown Brooklyn. I called to confirm the cross streets that appeared on my map because the IDIOT driver said they didn't sound familiar. Efrain answered and relayed the exact same street names I previously told the driver and went on to inform me that the cab drivers are idiots and he also stayed on the phone as long as possible to give turn by turn instructions to the driver to get me to the hotel Safe which was AMAZING... I checked in speedy and efficiently with Efrain who gave me a lay of the land and information about my client location which I would be reporting to the next morning and even set me up a car service for the next morning to the client. I arrived in the lobby 18mins before my car scheduled arrival time. I was pleasantly greeted by the young lady with braids or twist at the front desk. I headed down the stairs to the breakfast section to grab an apple and oatmeal and was again greeting with a smile by another wonderful staffer. While observing the food choices which ranged from scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, etc.. I was again welcomed by the fourth employee who was replenishing the raisins for the oatmeal. I am very big in customer service so this made my day that there are people who exist on this earth still in the service industry who actual appreciate being employed and don't sit with a screw face all day. The awesome thing is that for the four days I was there this was consistent behavior from various staffers and consistency is key. The room is a decent size for NYC, my view showed the city including the Brooklyn Bridge and a train elevated above the city. Great view.. The reason this review isn't 5 stars is because on my last night I worked after returning from business and when I entered the bathroom to shower there were no face towels so I called down and was told someone was on the way. I waited for about 14mins before calling again and was told he would be right there. The guy appeared 2 mins later and told me that he was searching for face towels because no one working that evening knew where that towels were, HUH.. The face towel he presented me was so extremely thin and rough enough to exfoliate you body and face. "It was all good just a day ago " the towels were plush and had a good smell. These towels NO SO MUCH :-( Housekeeping FAIL

It was also perfectly located just a short walk from my Pilates studio, which made sticking to my routine while traveling super easy. On top of that, there were plenty of coffee shops and local restaurants nearby, so I never had to go far for a good bite or my morning coffee. Being a Hilton Honors member made check-in a breeze, and I was even gifted complimentary water upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room itself was clean, cozy, and perfect for a short stay. The view from my window was amazing especially at night and I loved how quiet it was, making it easy to fully relax after long days out. They also have great amenities like a gym and a breakfast buffet every morning. The waffle machines, fresh fruit, and coffee were definitely highlights and a great way to start each day. Mallory at the front desk was so sweet and made checkout just as smooth as check-in. I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and everything about this visit felt seamless. At one point we needed another blanket, I normally get cold in any hotel I am in. They delivered that in a great amount of time. This really is a great location. It is about a 16-20 minute walk to the water area. I felt pretty safe at the hotel and the surrounding area. It is easy for ubers, taxis and ride share services to pick up and drop off. The room was comfortable for both my friend and I. There were two beds in our room which is exactly the type of room we booked. We did have issues with the AC. I am hoping they repaired it and looked into it after we left. It was warm in the room for s little, but by the time it was getting late it cooled down and I slept comfortably. Opening the window was not going to be an option. I would not sleep well to the ASMR sounds of NYC in real life. HEHE. They were helpful though. Overall this is a great hotel to stay at if you are wanting to be on the Brooklyn/Dumbo area. Perfect stay and the cost was not too bad. I was able to use points.

After walking all around with all of our heavy luggage we finally found our room, up on level 2. 4) When I got in the room there was a very loud buzzing (which turned out to be the mini-fridge), and the toilet seat was too small for the toilet by a few inches (uncomfortable and unsanitary, as your legs sit on the actual porcelain of the bowl). I went down to the front desk to tell them and the kid (literally, a kid) at the front desk told me "I'm not really sure what to do about that." 5) I asked to switch rooms and was told the hotel was full, but he would call and someone would be right up to help. I waited half an hour before calling down to the desk again and talking to a different person who told me the first person likely forgot, and said he would send someone within 5 minutes. About 10 minutes later I get a call to say "sorry, there is nothing we can do because maintenance does not work on weekends." 6) I asked if maybe a manager could help and was told there was no manager on duty (hmmmm....a completely booked hotel on a Friday night, and no manager on duty). 7) I was then told I should try pulling on the toilet seat to see if I could move it forward myself. I explained that it was bolted in, even if I could move it, it was too short, and if I am paying the money to stay at a Hilton, I don't expect to have to fix the toilet in my room myself. 8) Later when I went to take a shower I noticed dirt in the corners and then discovered that one of the handles was missing, and someone "fixed" it, by screwing a screw partly in. The idea was that you use the screw to turn the thing from side to side. 9) While I was in the shower all my toiletries fell into the sink. This is because the shelf above the sink was not screwed in properly and tilted forward (the amount of toiletries I had up there consisted of 3 small, light bottles, so not a weight issue). 10) The first morning we were woken up before 6 am by a mother letting her toddler run up and down the hall while she called to the child and laughed hysterically. 11) on the second night we were woken up just before 1 am by extremely loud music coming from the patio. After about 10 minutes I called the front desk and the phone was answered immediately (meaning the person was right there). This is important to know because the patio is right next to the front desk and they did nothing about the noise until someone called downstairs to complain. Even then, they just turned it down rather than off. All this, despite signs saying that after 10 pm was quiet time. The only things that were good about the stay was the air conditioning and a comfortable bed (comfortable once you were in it...it was so close to the wall on one side that you had to be careful standing up).
