I understand it could sometimes be a liability for them when there is really high winds, however many many other party rental business were still setting up tents, and the forecast wasn't nearly bad enough to cancel. I called her several times and sent her images and videos, but the best she could do was a "we'll see tomorrow" I couldn't wait until the very day of my party to know if I'd even have a tent or if I would have to find someone else, she couldn't even give me an ETA of when they'd arrive to plan ahead. Worst of all was her attitude and response to my genuine worries as a costumer. She was rude and uncooperative, she continued to dismiss my questions as if they were not important. And when I asked for my deposit back she gave me several excuses and going as far as saying she'd send it when she had the time. My husband is retiring from the military and we are having an event for him at my house the party place we originally rented our 70 chairs from is short 10 chairs. I informed the young man what it is for. I also mentioned that I am more than willing to come from my house which is about 30 miles to pick the chairs up and also drop the chairs off. The young man told me he needed to speak to his boss. When he came back to the phone he informed me that normally it's a dollar a chair but because I am going to come to them and pick them up and drop them off they will charge me extra. I honestly could not believe what I heard. Let me get this straight not only am I saving this company gas and mileage. But the fact that I am willing to do all of this and load and unload the chairs myself you are going to charge me extra. So instead of the $10 or dollar a chair they were going to charge me 30. The owner said I could pay cash and then my booking was canceled right before my event because of an online issue and no one called to let me know. They also booked out for the weekend and did not hold the items and I am forced to find a new company last minute. They are no help when you call and they were basically saying that it was my fault that their system canceled my booking and that they didn't contact me.
