I had intended to use my visa that had a rental car coverage and refused the coverage from Budget/Avis. When I got to the counter the woman behind it told me that Italy did not allow you to use rental car insurance from your Visa. Which was an outright lie and of course I didn't know it at the time. So I accepted insurance which raised the bill by $700. When I turned the car in in Verona I was told by the agent there but that wasn't true and that if I were to rent a car from them and wanted to use my rental car coverage on my Visa, that was between me and my bank. I was livid. A car that was supposed to cost us $1060 cost us $1700. The agent in Verona made €100 adjustment but that was the best she could do. When I picked up a car in Inverness also Budget/Avis as I had made these reservations at home I would never have gone to them again. The agent there also told me that wasn't true and that she had never heard of such a thing. I used my visa coverage there and that is documented as well .On my return home I contacted Budget /Avis With a well documented complaint and said I wanted the money refunded that I fraudulently "was talked into" By a lie! I have gotten absolutely nowhere. They send me a copy of the rental agreement with the insurance signed. Of course it was ,that is not the issue. The issue is coercion and fraud by their agent in Milan to Out right lie. I am still livid and I am not done. I am going to look into small claims court to cause nothing but a headache more than likely to that company, but I am not going to just let this go. The moral of the story is, do not use budget or Avis for rental cars. They do not honor their customers or back them up when an employee has fraudulently given information that cost the customer considerably more money than it should have.

I read dozens of car rental reviews and was extremely skeptical especially since I needed an…read moreautomatic. I found Morini and from Miami, Florida, we rented a vehicle in advance. The price was reasonable, fair and they also had an automatic. When we arrived, unfortunately, the woman the day before, had crashed her rental vehicle so we were given an upgrade to a nice automatic BMW. After signing the papers, inspecting the vehicle, we were out the door in less than 30 minutes. In fact, when we returned the vehicle, within less than 5 minutes, they were kind enough to have a shuttle bus take my family and I directly to the Milano airport. There are no hidden charges and service is exceptional. Will use this rental company only in the future and highly recommend them. They are an excellent, honest and transparent company that really does care about their customers.

Beside this is the only company in Italy that will let you take the car to eastern Europe, they were very friendly, on return, I had a scratch on the car but as agreed it was shorter than 5cm so I didn't have to pay anything. Car was clean and in very good condition ! I will confidently recommend this company to a friend and will probably be looking for them again in the future. I rented from Locauto at Palermo Airport after prepaying my rental and full damage coverage through…read morean intermediary. At the counter, Locauto staff sold me their own "Body Protection" and a "Roadside Assistance" charge on top of coverage I had already paid for, roughly 58 EUR in total. Nobody told me I was already covered, and the roadside charge was never explained before I signed. I presented a physical credit card in my own name, meeting all their requirements, and no deposit was required, so there was no legitimate reason to require extra protection to release the car. When I asked for a refund, Locauto refused on the basis that I had signed the agreement, and told me to take it up with the intermediary, who in turn sent me back to Locauto. Being handed a document to sign quickly at a busy airport counter is not the same as being given a clear, informed choice. In my experience the process is built to upsell coverage travellers already have, and to pass complaints back and forth so no one has to refund anything. If you rent here, decline everything at the desk and check what your booking already includes first.

We used Moving Class Limousine twice during our two week stay in Italy. We arranged a pickup from…read morethe Milan Airport (MXP), with a drop-off at the Sheraton Lake Como Hotel. The total cost was 130 Euros. We also used them to pick us up at the Sheraton, and then drop us off at Milano Central Train Station, to catch a train to Venice. This trip was also 130 Euros. They took our credit card without issue, for both trips. Dispatch was done through email, and was prompt and professional. In both instances they arrived on-time, and provided a private large, clean SUV. The drivers spoke sufficient English, and were professional and polite. Bottles of water were provided for both of us. Our trips took less than an hour, and there were no issues or drama. We'd be happy to use them again on our next trip, or recommend them for anyone needing this type of service.
