    My insurance company arranged a rental car through Enterprise in Waveland, MS. I picked the car up…read moreon Tuesday at 5 p.m. and was told that it was their last vehicle. The smell of air freshener was overpowering and I had to drive home with the windows down. A couple of hours later, I went to get in the car, but the smell of cigarette smoke was awful. I attempted to call the next morning, but sat on hold for more than 5 minutes, so I contacted my insurance representative, who then got in contact with Enterprise. Enterprise agreed to swap the car out with a different vehicle when they got a car in or told me that i could go to another Enterprise location. I made it very clear that I wanted a car that did not smell like cigarettes. The vehicle that they brought me was no better! I returned the car Thursday evening on my way from work. I called Enterprise's corporate number and raised a complaint. I was told that it will take 3 business days for a manager to return my call. Today (Friday), the local manager called and said she was going to give me a new car. She said she was going to contact my insurance company to arrange the new rental. After not hearing back in more than 4 hours, my husband called only to be told that it would be Monday before I would get the car! In my discussion with the manager, she never said it would be 3 days--I was under the impression that i would get a new car today. I'm not interested in going 3 days without a rental. I will gladly take my business to another rental car company. I have rented numerous cars (business & vacations) from a few different companies and this is the absolute worst rental car company that I've ever dealt with.

Yet the incompetent lazy woman who assisted us over the weekend makes me dread ever having to rent a car again. I mainly wonder why on earth she's even needed and it makes sense as to why we are using so many machines these days. She had a computer for absolutely nothing. Made us redo our booking ON OUR PHONE because how dare she lift a finger. Then she's over at the hertz desk flirting with the guy there. Took an hour to get our car after already having the reservation. Informed us of deposit AFTER we did all the booking for the second time on our phone. Took her forever to find keys because she was too busy flirting with hertz guy WHILE SHE HAD CUSTOMERS AT HER DESK. Lady was a waste. Kept saying it's company policy. She did nothing but hand us the keys. A machine could have done that. Smh. Don't use this rental service! Go with the hertz. Everyone seems to like them. Even the national lady.

It was probably the smoothest rental car experience I've ever had. I booked a rental car for my time in the area. I tried getting the car a day early but unfortunately there were none available- which was my bad, not their's so the next day I went back and talked to the woman who waited on me. She confirmed my order immediately with the information I provided. I gave her my return date and when I planned on returning the car and she told me to just keep it until my flight time since they charge for the 24 hours, which was super helpful to me and saved me another uber ride. She made sure I had a clean car that fit my tall body. Returning the car before/after hours was a breeze as all you have to do is drop the keys in the slot inside the terminal and then head up to the ticket counter for your flight. There were no hidden fees. No surprise charges. I had my invoice about an hour after they opened (before I took off) and I was all set. I have nothing negative to say at all. The car was the cleanest rental car I've had in my experience during COVID or prior.

    I want to take the time to bring attention to the response by Enterprise. Although, I put a…read morepainfully and sadly true review about Enterprise inability to remotely work with a once valued customer, to date I have not received a single email response from Mr. Calvin French, nor a single contact attempt by Enterprise. What I have received was ambiguous communication. I received an email stating that I had a balance due of $0.00, yet my debit card has been run, without my consent, the last two days at the tune of $600. I sent a return email to the sender , however the email is not monitored. Again, after spending nearly 20k in the last 8 years at Enterprise, one would think, considering up until January the 5th, I was completely confident the rental was still being paid for by State Farm, who's insured nearly destroyed my Yukon. Again, I had no idea or communication stating that a balance was adding up until I was notified on the 5th and threatened with GTF that my balance was nearly $600. Again, I tried to pay $75 that day to scramble to figure things out but was rudely shut down by Carly, the Branch Manager on Chicot Street in Pascagoula, MS and told I pay $300 or take an Uber home after dropping the rental off. I walked nearly $30 miles in the next two weeks as I was indeed left with no options until I had again no choice but to go and get my wrecked vehicle, so my wife, my 5 kids and I would have some mode of transportation during a span where temperatures are well into the freezing mark. The response was very sad, what is worse is that is the loan response I have received from Enterprise.

I expect that someone should call me back by tomorrow or I guess I can just call the corporate office and see if they can be of any help. Because of this inconvenience I've had to spend more money getting back home and getting around to do things I need to then I should have.
