Avis forgot to put a cap on the container with cooling liquid in the front of the car. This caused my car to break down in the middle of a windy road in a national park. Not only could this have caused an accident, but also the car could have set on fire. This was extremely negligent since the cap for the coolant was sitting beside the container in the hood; someone just forgot to screw it on. I tried to call Avis' roadside assistance during their open hours so I could get the car towed, but they did not pick up no matter how many times I called. After attempting to contact customer service for weeks, I have been hung up on countless times and the email responses continually ask for information I've already provided. I would not recommend Avis to anyone. They put me in a very dangerous situation, refused to contact me when the car broke down, and have been non-responsive to customer service requests. read more
