Have better customer service. I called on 6/1 at approximately 4pm to confirm that they closed out my rental and the young lady working there was so rude that she hung up on when I expressed that she didn't have to be so rude. I called back twice only to be left on the line as she just put the phone down. This is not the kind of service or people need to have working for you especially when you deal with customers that are going through moving to traveling situations. The last thing people need is to be treated badly. I will not be renting from this company again and will discourage anyone from doing so. If there was a -10 rate this would be it. read more

The process was simple, paperwork and dl verification if debit, credit only asks for card and DL. Unfortunately the car had a chip prior to rent that I didnt notice until afterwards. They do not do a walk around with you nor do they take pictures. I highly suggest you do both. The counter person was nice during check in, however the check out was not the same. The check out person, Brenda, was curt and borderline rude. She charged an extra fee for gas as well even though I returned the car on full! (Offered refund after I mentioned it) I was maybe 45 minutes late and I was charged 33 dollars for it. No waive of fee either. I wouldnt recommend This Avis location. Maybe alternative locations or another company such as Hertz or Enterprise. read more

We rented a car for a road trip. The better gas mileage vs. our SUV was forecast to almost completely pay for the rental while not putting the miles on our own car was just an added bonus. When we got there, they said that they didn't have our car, but they "upgraded us" to an SUV. They offered us no apology, said it happens all of the time and should be expected. read more

Horrible experience. Was renting a van for a weekend for the family. We made reservations for 12 in the afternoon on dec 31 since I get out of work at 11. The reservation was completed and everything was fine. On the date of pick up we arrive and the doors are locked. It's roughly 12:06 when I walked up to the door but we got there sooner just waited for a moment for the rain to slow down. Made sure to park on front so I know the gentleman saw our car. Well they stated they closed at 12 and that we are late. Our reservation was for the time you are closed? I was confused. So I asked the gentleman to try and make an exception as we weren't aware that the location closed at the same time our reservation was for and that there must have been a mix up. They ignored me and by this time there was 1 more customer who also stated she had a reservation for 12. They walked around and acted like they didn't see us and then Just stated that we were late . When I tried to ask for a phone number one of the guys walked to the door annoyed and told us if we didn't leave they would call the cops on us. This was unreal! I hope the woman who was standing outside with me writes a review as well. We both looked at each other in shock. Never again. Needless to say I was able to get a rental from enterprise and they honored the pricing as well. So disappointed. read more

A good value for sure but dismal service. The employees were totally overwhelmed and awkward. They had no solutions to anyone's problems, only excuses blaming "corporate." The whole place was full of irritated customers who had reservations but no vehicle was available. When I asked if I could park my car there for three hours while I was using the truck I was told that I couldn't because there wasn't even "enough parking for the Avis employees." Really odd experience. We will give another company a try next time. read more
