The Tourist Informative Office is huge. There is endless information on where to visit, lodging,…read moretours and transportation. When you walk in the staff is at the far end behind desks. They were very accommodating and extremely helpful. We had outdated transportation information and needed guidance. It took about 15 minutes and they lined up a transportation van ready to drop off at our desired location and pick up at a later time. They also answered a bunch of questions regarding our itinerary. This was extremely beneficial to us. I highly recommend calling them before your vacation to make arrangements. The office is closed on Sundays and open from 9 am to 5pm daily.

It worked out OK for us as it was drizzling when we started but we got quite a bit of time with no rain during our Just over an hour tour. Now because it was off-season, we were actually the only ones on the jaunting cart and so I really had our own private tour which was amazing. Maybe it was less amazing for Michael who had to answer strange questions for my six year old. Lol. The cart takes you through Killarney national Park, which is really lovely and we saw so much wildlife, especially Deers, which was really cool. We rode all the way up to Ross castle and although it is closed for the season, Michael gave us 10 minutes to walk around and get some photographs . Michael was full of great information and answered all of our questions. It was really a lovely experience and I would highly recommend it. He was responsive and very helpful in getting the tour decided and booked. The day of our tour we were picked up in the lobby of the hotel by our driver Mick. He was on time and very kind and courteous. We had the most amazing day and saw every site, look out point, attraction along the way. Mick was the perfect tour guide as he was very knowledgeable about every area, he was friendly and kind, and he was a great driver. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and shared all kinds of facts with us, both scripted and unscripted. We made lots of stops on our way to Dingle and took a ton of pictures. We arrived in Dingle around 2pm and left about an hour and a half later, so we had time to get some lunch, ice cream, and wander the street for a bit. Ger was a very good driver and pulled over to let cars pass us whenever he could, and that didn't impact our timeline at all. He also stopped at a random business so someone in our tour could go to the bathroom partway through the trip. We will be doing the Gap of Dunloe tour with Deros in a few days and I'm looking forward to it. I highly recommend Deros for your day trip needs!

This made so much sense to us and we looked at reviews online and loved that this company is locally owned and operated. We booked the Ring of Kerry trip and it was one of the best decisions we made on our trip. Batt was our driver and he was fantastic - responsible, fun, funny, entertaining, so knowledgeable, and very passionate about the area of the world where he grew up and where his family is from. He told us such interesting personal stories as well as shared so much rich information on the areas we were seeing. We felt like part of the family by the end of the tour! I could not have imagined how beautiful this area is and the mountains, water, cliffs, rolling fields and hills of green are magical. We made a few fun stops but it didn't feel too busy or the pace too rushed. Batt was a great photographer, as well, and always happy to snap a photo for his guests. We felt very comfortable with his driving as the roads do look treacherous to outsiders and we were relieved that we listened and didn't attempt it ourselves. I know for a fact that our experience of the Ring of Kerry was so much richer and better because we booked the Deros tour. We had a fantastic lunch at a little cliffside place (the lamb stew was delicious and very filling!). A highlight was driving through the hilly terrain while Batt sang "Danny Boy" for us (with all the verses, which I adore!). Another fun extra was when we were driving on our own to Dingle the next day and pulled up to Inch Beach. We noticed the Deros bus was there and suddenly, there was Batt waving hello to us! It was so nice to run into a new friend on our travels and realize the wonderful connections we were making on this amazing journey. I left a little piece of my heart in that beautiful area and hope to be able to return soon.
