    Overall a painless experience. Made the reservation online and got a free upgrade through my Amex card. They ended up giving me a full size, an additional level up from my upgrade because that is all they had. When I went to the car there was more minor scratches on it than noted, so I let the attendant know, and he changed my ticket to note the additional damages. Also, the fuel gauge was listed as 3/8, but when I got into the car it was 1/4, which I brought to the attention customer service agent as well, and they made the correction as well. The Chevy Malibu itself is not a luxurious car, but definitely gets the job done and has Apple Carplay. This was a pleasant experience and they were not rude about it at all. Later, I needed to add additional night with the car, so I just made the change with the website without having to talk to anyone or call and wait on hold. And then I returned the car in the morning and got my receipt within three minutes. Overall, a very painless and seamless experience.

    This is my favorite rental car spot in Los Angeles. I rent a lot of cars. I used to rent from the airport until I found out how much more expensive it is with the additional taxes. Anyway, I wanted to find a location close to my home and I found this one within walking distance. I find you get the best rates when you make a reservation online first. As a rule you should always keep your paperwork and receipts and make sure you get the price you booked online. Now, it took some getting used to at first. If you are used to a large selection of cars and being able to reserve and obtain that specific vehicle, this might not be the place for you. Cars come in and cars go out. They don't have much control over their daily selection. This location opens at 7:30am which is a plus for me. They have limited car washing capabilities due to their parking garage location. However, I haven't had any mechanical issues or problems with the cleanliness of their cars. What I like best about this location is Harry and Alex. These gentlemen are awesome. They make sure I'm in and out without delay. From recommending the best vehicles for gas mileage, to helping me resolve any billing or lost and found issues, these guys always come through for me! I appreciate them and I appreciate this location.

    A bit expensive, but the process is super easy and quick. The people that work here are helpful and clear about everything.

I also love that they pick you up from the body shop and allow you to drop the car off with the body shop. That was extremely clutch for me. My only complaint, and why I take away 2 stars, is that I informed the worker that I received 2 tickets I'd be contesting because meters were not taking my card. This is something that I've been experiencing more often. I don't know if a lot of the meters in LA are at life expectancy, lol, but they sometimes won't read your card no matter how many times you swipe. For one of the tickets, midway had already paid it and charged me the price WITH a Midway fee on top of it on the the last day I had to request to contest the ticket. I already put that day on my planner to start the contest process. They paid it at the beginning of the day before I even got the chance. And if you pay before requesting to contest, they won't refund you. So basically I just got charged a full ticket price PLUS exorbitant fee on top of it for a ticket that was going to be thrown out for a faulty meter. I could understand if I went most of the day and it's almost EOD and I didn't pay or opt to contest, but they hadn't even reached out to me. They DID reach out to me before paying the second one, and thankfully allowed me to start the contest process before charging me for the ticket and a fee on top. But since I already informed them of the tickets from the beginning, I should've been given that courtesy the first time as well to contest my ticket by my deadline before they took it upon themselves to just charge it. Either way, it is what it is. I just paid over $100 to park at a place for 15 minutes. Gotta love LA. Outside of that debacle, Midway is great!

They called me ahead of time to make sure that that the car that I wanted, they escort you downstairs, and then they go and grab the car. The manager handed me the keys of an electric vehicle with 14% charge and walked away. I spent the first 2.5 hours of my day trying to locate a charging station because the 1st required a permit, the 2nd was full, the 3rd required a subscription and adapter, and the 4th was finally available but needed an app download, registration, and would take 8.5 hours to fully charge. I had plans but instead had an incredibly stressful morning just trying to find enough charge to drive to my destination. Upon calling the direct local branch Hertz line, the automated prompt directs me to a general customer service agent that says to call the local branch line, which then redirects me back to her again. The prompt for the roadside assistance department is also no help. When returning the keys and explaining the entire ordeal, the manager assures me he will file a claim and email me. I have not received a single form of communication from Hertz. I tried calling the "direct" Hertz line and have the same experience as before, this time with an extra berating from the same lady exclaiming that she has "already provided the phone number (the same one i called her with) and cannot do anything else." Truly a nightmare.
