They sent me down the street to Enterprise, which "though" they might be able to get me a pick up truck. Nope. Called my son and he said he had just the solution...and brought me here to his go to spot. At first they said I needed to book in advance, but when I explained my situation they quickly found me a car. It was a Hyundai Electra, and I gotta say, I loved it. So much I'm buying one. I always used to drive Hyundai's but for many reasons I decided to keep my husband's jeep after he passed. They were busy when I returned, and said I was a gallon low (even though I just filled up!) and charged me a $15 fee for that. Oh well, I had a car for more than a week and that was what I needed. And I like supporting local businesses.

You may remember that Avis used to be the number two car rental company in the United States. And their motto : "We try harder" Well obviously after the merger Budget Rent-A-Car has changed their motto to "We simply just don't care!" The story of my 70 year-old wife and my three year-old grandchild along with my daughter and son-in-law in the airport at 2 o'clock in the morning the counter person telling my daughter that they didn't have the car that she reserved online. And then went on to explain to her that my daughter must not be very bright, and that reserve doesn't mean rented. No matter what they didn't have any cars. And there was nothing they could do. That's funny to me when they say there's nothing they could do. They have seven other budget lots in Indianapolis. Not only could they not get a car over in time for my children's flight they couldn't go get one when they realized they didn't have one and they rented the reserve car. We simply just don't care. It's as simple as that. It's overtly and obviously the budget Rent-A-Car Moto. My daughter called Budget Rent a car customer service today. Thinking maybe they could do something with the fuel bill. The four hours of inconvenience. The lack of human decency and common courtesy from the staff. And the customer service lady said in essence "We simply just don't care!" I get it. The reason there is very little customer service left is we don't demand it. What Budget/Hertz Rent-A-Car knows is" It doesn't matter how many 'one stars' they have. Doesn't matter that their Facebook page is filled with complaints. They don't even bother to hide them anymore. It doesn't matter if people are inconvenienced, that people are mad at them, because the facts remain. #1. People have short memories. #2. And The Big One For Them Is That They Know When The Top Car Rental Providers seel out of Cars When they are the Only Ones That Have Cars Left No Matter How Mad People Are At Them people will come to them to have a car. THey don't care if their customers don't come back to them!! There's 346 million people in the USA they'll still have a customer. So When if it doesn't matter if your rental car is there when you get there to pick it up then Budget Rent-A-Car is the place for you. To Budget Rent a car if your reserved car is there great! if it's not that's OK too. Because Budget rent a car their motto must be: "We simply just don't care"

    I have gotten screwed twofold by enterprise in two days. First by employee in Denver- they found…read moremy car keys in a rental my friends and I were in. They refused to give my car keys back to my friends/family for them to overnight the keys to me. (I was already on flight back to Ohio when they were found.) They said because I was not there- they couldn't give my keys to my friends who I did the rental with he did however take my address and info from them- and never called or reached out to me. Instead he gave them the generic #to call lost and found. Between 12/11 and 12/12 I spent 6+ hrs getting the run around with their lost and found department. $50 and about 1,000 gray hairs later after being directed to links that say, "error 404 website not found" and then later an email saying my items have not been found. Only to relentlessly lookup different emails and trying other #s for customer service to escalate the situation... Magically my keys were found and I had to pay to overnight them (which I guess is fine) but I had to land from that flight and leave my car at CVG accruing still over $24/day in parking fees everyday it's there. Which brings me to this location (I should have been wiser after the lost and found debacle but this rental car location was closest) I booked a car yesterday for first thing in the morning today so I can drive to CVG and get my car out of the parking garage with my spare key/drop the rental car at the airport. This as about $25 cheaper than getting a ride share from centerville to GVG. Well I had an Uber on the way to take me to enterprise at opening to get the rental and get this all taken care of,... nope. I just had someone from the location call and say essentially ," we don't have any cars to rent." So I had to cancel the Uber that was taking me up to enterprise.... and now have to consider just paying around $100 to ride-share out to CVG instead of the $73 I had been quoted for the rental. Why would they take my info and allow me to book yesterday afternoon- when they didn't have any vehicles available today for rental?! Their customer service/ lost and found department, and this branch have seriously missed the mark. I feel like helpless, powerless, and now kinda abused by enterprise, and will never utilize them again especially when there are so many other competing agencies out there. I feel like I have just been stuck in a robotic telephone automated nightmare and would like to spare others from this horror.

    Totally disappointed!! I had two 15 passenger vans rented from Budget for 8 months for a major…read morerelay race in Kentucky. When my drivers went to pick the vans up, they got totally screwed. Budget jacked with them for 2 hours before telling them that the vans were no longer "available"! This was awful for my bourbon chase team! When you have 6 runners that are running non-stop over a 32 hour time period, there needs to be ample space. We had been counting on these vans heavily. To be told the night before your race that you don't have the vans, was absolute crap! We were left scrambling at midnight trying to find 2, 15 passenger vans. The state was sold out completely! To make matters worse, the " manager" would not get on the phone with me and said that he was very busy and would call me...guess what, that call NEVER came! What a classless group in Dayton. No one ever apologized or tried to correct things for us. We totally lucked out with Enterprise, who happened to have a last minute cancellation. I will NEVER use Budget again and you can bet I will be giving corporate a call first thing tomorrow!

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE - ZERO STARS IF I COULD!…read more I should've known it was a bad sign when the customer ahead of me got charged extra and there were multiple people complaining at the counter. From start to finish, this was the worst rental experience I've ever had. I prepaid through Trip.com for a compact car (Aug 3-10). When I arrived, I asked to shorten to 5 days. The clerk unprofessional, rude, constantly shooing customers while yelling into the phone said I needed to pay a deposit. Then he handed me a receipt for $382 on top of my prepaid reservation. Car #1: Filthy, smelly, clearly not cleaned, and had a dangerous bulging tire with a loose belt. When I brought it back, the clerk yelled: "I have no cars! Drive to the airport or come back tomorrow!" and told me to take the unsafe car home. Car #2: Covered in scratches, reeked of urine, and later I discovered vomit in the trunk with a strong, pungent smell. We took videos for proof. By day 3, we couldn't tolerate it and returned the car early. Thankfully, Diego at the call center was the only helpful person he processed a 50% refund for the unusable cars and the would make sure I get my deposit back without the unreasonable $382 be charged at me. But after drop-off, they still charged me $220 for fuel despite me filling the tank at a gas station 3 minutes away.( I blame this on the clerk at this location!) Every call center rep gave me a different story: one said no refund, another offered a discount, and only the last rep documented the full case. Between the extra charges, unsafe vehicles, and complete lack of professionalism, this company is a scam. Avoid this location at all costs and that includes the Avis at the same address, as it's the same operation. Im not sure if this can be said about all Avis/ Budget locations but I'd be aware as this was my horrible experience.

When I insisted he cancel it so I don't have to call and wait for support he started getting angry- please leave now I have to go back to doing something. I told him that they were running operations for poorly and he started yelling "get out get out" "you good job". Something seriously wrong with the gentleman and by far worst Avis/Budget experience ever.
