When the Avis on Memorial road completely screwed me (said, Sorry...no cars...even though I'd had a reservation for 2 mos), this location on NW Expwy rescued me (again with no help from original Avis location). The owner here was fabulous, made the process easy and was incredibly polite. I will never use the other location again. It is run by a total ___, and deserves to close down in my opinion. We were in Oklahoma City for a family reunion. They used Avis Airport Rental to rent 2 Vans for one day, my cousin already paid for the rental and put the $250.00 deposit for 1 day rental and he only needed to add another driver to assist driving 1 of the vans. So my other Cousin from Arizona went with him to add himself as a driver for the second Van, the Lady Avis Worker dealt with him with no customer service, bad attitude, charged him a $250.00 deposit(which the deposit was already paid), the rude lady Avis Worker would not give him a receipt that he paid putting the 2nd $250.00 deposit on top of this gave him a van that no one should be driving on any public roads, It was shakey, it took a balance act by my cousin to keep the steering wheel straight because it would shoot the van to the left and to the right real hard, and there was no time to take the van back with the schedule and premade plans to go to Chandler, Oklahoma. I suggest that all the family members that filled, and rode that van, and also who felt their lives at risk because of this van, and should not have been issued to anybody as a rental, because it has serious mechanical issues, should file a official complaint against Avis. This score of one star is especially for the lady Avis Worker who they had to deal with to Rent 2 Vans. And on top of that, Returning the Vans in early, Avis charged my Cousin $800.00 who was not even a part of the original paid rental agreement and who only put down a $250.00 deposit just to be added as an additional driver and could not get a receipt for his deposit payment. The Main Supervisor over the Avis Airport Rental department in Oklahoma City needs to be notified and this issue needs to be fixed. I personally will not rent anything from Avis and suggest no one rents from Avis because of this kind of dishonest, unethical, corrupt, miss abuse behavior at the counter, and then issuing of non operational vehicle to be used by any of their customers. read more

We've been renting vehicles from this location for years. Vehicles are always good. Never any issues. The guy at counter greets us by name and always takes great care of us! We will be back again soon :) I wished they still had line of Toyota vehicles is my only wish, but it's ok mostly Chevy and Nissans. Not my fav. But I do like the premium SUV choices so thankful those vehicles are still a choice! read more

Went to multiple rent-a-car places around the Edmond OKC area. Avis is the only one that would rent to me without a credit card. Might not be the situation for you but if you're a younger driver I recommend Avis as they are more lax on their renting policy. I rented a car and signed an agreement for the day rate. I wanted to extend my car rental, so I called back and they gave me a cheaper day rate for the next week. It was all over the phone. A verbal agreement. I trusted them but when they charged me they gave me a more expensive rate that we did not agree upon. I also got a flat tire and called and they said it would not be a charge to get it fixed by them. But now they are trying to charge me for that. Make sure to get proof of their promises so Incase they try to over charge you and unfairly charge you, you'll be able to dispute their claims. My bank is super supportive and looking into this. read more

The service at this location is great. Jim was there at our check-in. He dealt with us very quickly and professionally, even walked us through the process of renting with a debit card instead of a regular credit card. Very patient as we had to shuffle money between banks to put everything on the correct card. While we weren't as prepared as we should have been for this last minute booking, Jim was great. It was also not a hassle to extend the reservation from the road. There's an after hours drop off box, so you don't have to adjust your schedule to fit theirs. All in all it was a great experience for us when our unpreparedness could have turned it into a nightmare. Thank you!!! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have rented cars dozens of times in many states and countries and this was one of my two worst experiences (the other being in Mexico). My car broke down this morning, and I needed something to get to and from work and to take my eight-month-old to daycare. I reserved a car online with noon pick up, Ubered my son to daycare, and then Ubered to pick up my car. Upon arrival, was told their was not only no economy cars available (despite having a confirmed reservation), there were no cars of any type available until possibly sometime that afternoon. Another lady was also in the office facing the exact same issue as myself. She had walked there in 90° weather. More upsetting, I was informed there were cars available at the airport location, but the manager at that location refused to bring them to the Bethany location, which is at best a 20 minute drive away, because their branch had "met their quota". It was clear they cared more about inter office feuds then actually serving customers or apparently making money. I was advised I could Uber to the airport and get a car. However I was not able to confirm with the manager at the airport location that a car was available before taking yet another Uber because "he doesn't speak to customers." Frustrated, I Ubered to work and made other arrangements, only to receive a call late afternoon that my Avis rental car was ready. I sent a long email detailing my issues to Avis customer service. I got a boilerplate pre-formatted response with a note that they had referred the matter to the manager at the location where I reserved the car. They might as well have just said go f*** yourself. In conclusion, no matter how good a rate they offer, do not rent from them. They obviously do not care about their customers at any level of the company. You are better off spending a little bit more money and going literally anywhere else read more

Gave one star because I can't give a negative 5! I am a USAA member. So are my kids who are 20. Needed rental due to car accident. Complete run around. RUDE RUDE. Not American. Hate to throw that out but ended up needing their corporate call center and that is in Mexico. Rude as well. The American customer service way would have been much different I am sure! Made reservation just to cancel later due to run around and not knowing the USAA rules for their customers. Switched to budget just to see ITS THE SAME STORE! Made the reservation with all questions asked this time to ensure it was ok. NOPE! Daughter went to get car. RUNAROUND! Use Enterprise or Hertz. I also found out that they never canceled the first car and I was charged. I had to call the corporate office again in Mexico who thought I had already picked up the first car. Finally my refund has been done but I have to wait 7 to 10 days. read more
