stay away.... this is one of the most unprofessional rental places in the city. The obese fat guy that sits behind the desk is rude and incompetent. I want to go get a vehicle Saturday and when he ran my credit card first he told me that I had an active contract and wasn't trying to give me a vehicle after calling Avis customer service and getting that issue resolved fatty attempted to run my card the very first time he ran my card. He got an approval number but told me that the charge with the client I showed him depending charges for my credit card. There were three declined charges, and one pending charge. He swore up and down that he did not get an approval although the approval number I got was 006277 from my bank. the second time I went to this location. The first time I went to the location, the same obese individual and sweaty told me that the office was closed and wasn't running cars anymore and referred me to a different Avis about 4 miles away from his locationnow I think about it he was eating then the office is dirty. Needs to be clean, but I guess with his fatness and funk he doesnt clean the store and it smells just like him Once again use a different location for your rentals or youll wake up with numerous charges in your credit card read more

Let's talk about unorganized, rude and unprofessional. I received a call from the rental car company advising me my insurance company had already called and set everything up, I just need to be there at 9 AM on the day indicated I arrived early because they don't deliver, and my car body shop opened an hour before them... So I sat down outside and patiently waited When they opened the woman rudely told Me to step aside from the window because she said I wasn't there first, meanwhile I have been sitting outside of the building for--- an hour The lady she took in front of me told her I was here first, she huffed and didn't help me anyway Told me this could take a while and proceeded to help every other person that was there who came after me Seriously, I rented from budget at the airport and they were efficient and pleasant... I GIVE THEY A&& zero STARS THIS WAS THE WORST RENTAL CAR EXPERIENCE DO NOT PREPAY FOR A RENTAL IF YOU DO YOU WILL NOT GET A RENTAL CAR you will have to pay for another reservation at the counter (which I did) so now I have a 400 dollar deposit for 1 rental lol BS WHEN THE DEPOSIT THREW DEBIT IS 200 follow me YELPERS SO Customer service is not available at the counter in the location. You have to call the one 800 number which the person at the counter will give you customer service is no help. I waited 15 days for a refund. I'm currently still waiting all this occurred July 8, 2024 I'm stillwaiting , waiting on my refund and deposit so with the math I've paid over $1000 dollars for one rental. I had to make another reservation due to me needing the rental assuming when pre-paying would make the rental service easier hell no it didn't. these people are the worst , I'm still waiting on my refund. Also, my deposit I will never rent from these people again. 0H and customer service over the phone is not aligned with the customer service inside the location so now for a $200 dollar rental I payed $1000 so I'm waiting on a refund for $300 from the initial rental and the $200 deposit two weeks later never again fuck you, Avis in order to post a review I had to give one lying star They get zero stars don't waste your time or money. I have mixed feelings about this Avis/Budget rental car facility. On the one hand, it's definitely not like any other Budget rental facility I've been to, but then again, I think the others were all airport locations. As such, it didn't have that standard polished, professional feel I've come to expect. On the other hand, it met my needs better than the Pittsburgh airport location as it was close by to where I live and, more important, just a few miles from the mechanic's location where I was leaving my car. So for that it won out and I have to be pleased that the car rented to me was just fine. Most important was the fact that they did pick me up and drop me off at the mechanic's location, even though they were crazy busy. For that alone, I definitely will opt to overlook the unpolished aspect of their business when deciding to use them next time. One small note to them, though. The young men (who barely looked old enough to be driving) who dropped me off and picked me up both decided not to wear their seat belts. It wasn't accidentally forgotten because both cars' bell systems constantly dinged at them (and me) every so many seconds/minutes to remind them. So, what's the deal? The young men are in cahoots with one another to be "men" and defy wearing the belts? Again, not a polished aspect of the business but hey! They did pick me up and drop me off, nonetheless, so thanks, guys! Could ya buckle up next time if just to quiet the ugly dinging sounds??? read more

POOR SERVICE, THEY HAVE NO QUALMS ABOUT VANDALIZING YOUR PERSONAL VEHICLE I deal with quite a few truck rental locations throughout the tri-state area for work. This place has been the absolute worst I've dealt with BY FAR. It took about an hour to get the truck despite having a reservation weeks in advance and the establishment not being busy. Throughout the entire process, the GM (I forget her name) was rude and condescending. To top it all off, I left personal vehicle at the establishment and came back to find it vandalized by Budget employees, with the words "Budget/Avis parking only!!!" written in white PAINT on my driver side window. Keep in mind, the parking spot wasn't marked as such. Needless to say, I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy. read more

Reserved a van to be picked up 4/15/22. Tried calling the rental location on 4/13/22 to confirm availability. No answer. After several more attempts , with no answer , I reached out to Customer Service. They also tried to call location and got no answer. They advised me the best solution would be for me to keep trying to reach them. After at least 15 Attempts I gave up for the day . I started calling again the next morning and still no answer. Once again reached out to Customer Service. They also again got no answer. Assured me that they would have Inventory folks call me back within 15 minutes to 2 hours to let me know where I could pick up a van. Never heard from them. On Friday 4/15 - 2 hours before scheduled pickup- I received text message from the location saying they were sorry but they had no vehicle for me. Fortunately I was able to find a van about an hour away and secured my rental When I reached out to customer service again - after returning van - I was told they only guarantee the price - not the vehicle availability! Please don't rent from here. I reserved a full size vehicle a week in advance for vacation. When I arrived at the location she processed my information and handed me keys. I questioned the rep about the keys she gave me because it was a very small Ford SUV. I advised her that I had requested a full size vehicle because of my height, and she stated, "I don't have one". I asked about paying for an upgrade and she stated that she didn't have anything available. She never apologized or tried to accommodate me. All she offered was to move my reservation way out to the airport which can be over an hour drive in traffic during rush hour. When I questioned her professionalism she literally yelled at me at the top of her lungs, "what am I supposed to do? It's not my fault". At the point I took my information and left without another word being said. I called customer service and they weren't much help either. They recommend the airport. I called the General Manager and the recording was that she wasn't taking calls. This was my first time using Avis and needless to say, it won't happen again and I recommend you stay away too. read more

I've been back here twice since my last terrible experience. Both experiences have been much better than they were before, I was kindly greeted, paperwork completed with a sense of urgency and even offered an upgrade both times. Perhaps a few calls to customer service sparked some change, whatever it may be I like it! This is the closest Avis to my house and I rent a few times a month for business trips that are too short to fly. If I continue to receive the better than average service I've been given the last two weeks I will continue to rent here. read more

Rented in August 2015. First car I took had a flat tire just a mile away. When I called they said call roadside assistance. I drove back to the location where they exchange cars. No apologies, no concern. The girl that works working there acted like she didn't want to be there. I used to work for budget for years and I was embarrassed for her and for the company. I will never come here again! I made reservations online two months ago then called to confirm a month ago and double checked if it was ok to rent using my debit/MasterCard bc I don't use credit cards and don't want to. Well when I went to get my rental today the service was ride and they were super slow. 3 of the workers were talking and ignoring the customers when 3 of us were standing there! Finally when I was waited on they went to take my cats and stayed they couldn't use it! Told me I couldn't rent a car from then unless I used a credit card or had someone else come in and let me use there card! I explained to the lady about me calling in and they didn't care and were ignorant! I offers to pay cash which I knew wouldn't fly but they still didn't care. I never will be coming here again! Thank god I only wanted the rental so I didn't put miles on my car for vacation or my vacation would of been ruined so I took The money I would use on the rental to get an oil change and driving my self! read more
