I get late night cravings and sometimes I order from here. The dessert is descent, BUT 70% of the flavor is vegetable oil. And 30% is chocolate or whatever the flavor profile is. There is WAY WAY too much vegetable oil used in the recipe to sustain the moisture cake level. It is not balanced, more so greasy dessert. I don't like being negative but this review is input so the business can grow and thrive. The service is phenomenal, I had a great experience inside the bakery. It has a homey feel inside and nice pleasantries. There was even a customer/friend hyping up the bakery when I was there! I bought 4 cupcakes, and I can't say I liked any of them. Vanilla, Chocolate, Red Velvet, and Oreo. The cake was good, for all the cupcakes except the red velvet which had a chalky taste. The frosting, which is my favorite part of cake was the worst part. It had this refrigerator taste to them, as if they'd sat for a long time. I found this place on a deal website and couldn't turn down an awesome opportunity for cupcakes! We almost passed by them, they're next to the Asian market, you have to look for the windows not overhead signage. They had some really unique flavors and we got six different ones. First, I'll say the cake mix was the same throughout. Very soft, almost like angel food cake but sturdier. The buttercream for each were whipped up beautifully to make them very light. Nothing about these cupcakes were dense and heavy. They are average size cupcakes from a regular muffin pan so you aren't waiting a 650 calorie cupcake or struggling to finish it. The banana with peanut butter frosting sounded amazing! But it wasn't very flavor forward. I did not taste the banana and the peanut butter tasted like the peanut butter extract. It would have been better to whip up some peanut butter with cream cheese and powdered sugar to have the natural peanut butter flavor. The red velvet wasn't great either. Not terrible but just not very flavorful. The cookies and cream was very subtle in flavor. Good, but I could use more cookie. The birthday cake was pretty good. The raspberry was very good, I liked the flavors there. The strawberry milkshake was the best one. Flavorful and not too much of the extract to over power. I think they need some refinement. Don't listen to any bad reviews here and go get some of the best desserts you will ever have. The banana pudding is the best I've ever had, and the cherry cheesecake was delicious. The red velvet cake shareable was to die for. Nothing I got went uneaten. These were before my diagnoses but I just got diagnosed with a health condition and am now sensitive to dairy, and so today I got the vegan banana pudding and the vegan oatmeal creme pie : both BOMB. I called and left message, and emailed requesting an cake on short notice (due to another place cancellation due to health emergency), and they told me they emailed me back (never called) and explained that they could only do a simple drip cake on such short notice (4 days).
