Service is always pleasant and friendly too. It's a good thing I don't live too close because I would come here every day. I am also addicted to their drinking chocolate. Prepared as instructed, it makes a super thick, creamy and decadent treat but sometimes I swap it out for 2x the milk and enjoy a luxury hot chocolate. I have not been into a chocolate shop in a good while. The name alone is what caught me and I had to go inside from the bright red sign hanging in the window. The chocolates are priced by piece and they have something for everyone. I picked out four for myself and two for my friend: peanut butter cup pistachio Rocher a dark chocolate sea salt, caramel a chai moon truffle, and a cinnamon churro toffee. I indulged in my four pieces of chocolate, nice and slow when I was back at my hotel room lol. The dark chocolate peanut butter cup had to have been my favorite. The spicy pecan caramel really caught me off guard and I knew when I do go back and visit I will be bringing back a separate box for my husband of those and any other of their spicy chocolates and caramels. Oh my...the chocolate is off the charts delicious. My husband didn't want to stop because he thought it was just an overpriced tourist chocolate shop. Boy was he wrong. This is one of my favorite spots in Asheville so I always visit when I'm in town. I usually get an assortment of truffles and eat them at the store. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Kids obviously love this place and will make you go bankrupt if you let them, they're like kids in the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory ready to overload on sweets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is always fast and friendly. Lines move really fast if there is one. They have a lot of unique items such as giant chocolate eggs with other items inside...another favorite for the kids. My girlfriend is gluten-free and all of the staff seems trained really well on gluten free items. They were able to quickly point out the truffles which have gluten in them, only about 5 total out of probably 40 items. I love some of their items such as the chocolate frogs, we call them turtles, and the candied ginger is really spicy whew! It's been a long time but it was an amazing experience visiting the Chocolate Fetish again. I haven't been here since 2006 and I noticed they have expanded which is great! The store is homegrown and has been around since 1980's. They are well known across the world and have been very successful in winning many awards for their chocolate. Today, I purchased an assortment of 15 chocolates that were liquor based and omg they are amazing! They range from white chocolate to milk chocolate and lastly dark chocolate! The assortment is wild!! I love it! I also purchased some chocolate covered coffee beans! Very ornate! I had walked by this place multiple times during my first visit to Asheville. When I saw their sign for the frozen hot chocolate, I knew I had to come back and try it. They serve the frozen hot chocolate on Fridays and Saturdays. They literally sell every variety of chocolate Imaginable. From truffles and individual assorted pieces, to gift boxes and 3D assorted treats, the store is an ideal getaway for any chocolate connoisseur. The interior of the store has the look and feel of an upscale European chocolaterie. The walls of the shop are covered with many of the awards and accolades received over the years. Me and my wife walked in we specifically asked for gluten free chocolate but the worker not only gave us a non-gluten free chocolate but also kept putting a gluten free chocolate with nongluten free My wife has a severe allergic reaction to gluten. We kept explaining it and she kept saying "what?" so I found it to be very unprofessional. read more

If I'm honest, I DO believe these are overpriced, however that's probably a good thing our else half of our diet might consist of chocolate. Most of the treats we've tried here have been perfectly delicious. I do think the kahlua and cream was just a tad too heavy, but we've tried about 15 other options, and all the rest have been so delicious. It saddens me that french broad is the known "best chocolate" in Asheville when this place is here. This chocolate blows French broad out of the water. The inside of the store is super cute, the staff is friendly and patient, the chocolates are amazing. They have such a great variety, it's hard to not buy one of everything! Trust me, if I had the money, I probably would do just that. The only chocolate we didn't like that we tried was dragons breath or something like that. It has wasabi, and I don't normally like the flavor of wasabi. Even when I ordered online after we came back home, the staff was still so accommodating. It says for the variety boxes that it is random or picked but I put in a request for one specific chocolate because my partner regretted not getting it while we were there and they so kindly obliged to the request! Wow hah what a fun place to visit. This shop has chocolate in all of its forms. Liquid, solid, and prehaps even as a gas. You could hours here sampling the different kinds of chocolates. However I picked the pistachios chocolate, the raspberry and the makers mark chocolates. I almost got drunk eating the makers mark chocolate, it tasted like it had a full shot of bourbon in the chocolate. Anyways they were all great. So get adventurous and go! I went to at least three chocolatiers while I was in Asheville. This one was very good, but I didn't feel like their selection was fantastic. There was a lot more packaged chocolate than they had in their displays, and it seems like the displays on both sides were duplicates. I could be wrong, but it seemed that way. They were friendly, and in a great location. The store itself is beautifully decorated and had a nice layout. Located in downtown Asheville, there's so much to do around here. Shopping, art galleries, restaurants galore, people watching, events, and beautiful architecture. Parking can be tricky depending on when you go, but there are several parking garages not far from this location. read more

Stayed at the hotel next door so came in to get a box of chocolates! The dark chocolate nut cups were delicious - pecan and pistachio nuts were fresh and chopped nuts scattered throughout the chocolate. Moved on to the truffles... got two of the Hand-Painted Chocolate Bonbons $3 each - peach Bellini and Tupelo Honeybee - what a huge disappointment. Both waxy and ganache were completely flavorless!!! So, if you've ever had Kate Weiser Hand-Painted Chocolate Bonbons you'll know what these are supposed to taste like - a flavor bomb. These were a big fail. However, the Shot in the Dark and strawberry's in cream truffles were terrific. Hubby had a peanut butter something and said it was good. Also had a dark chocolate covered apricot; the apricot was too dried out and like leather; no flavor and texture issues...this was also a big fail. I'd suggest not dipping any fruit that isn't plump and squishy. So 3 out of 8 were terrible. But 5 were pretty good. Will try this place again to see if things get better but staying far away from the painted bonbons. Service was excellent. Left a cash tip since this is a thing these days - not that I agree with it for retail - tip jars at both check out stations. Oh Lordy - these two small sized chocolates were so good & delish! I asked for something comparable to Heath bar and they delivered - it's even more delish if that's even possible. My hubs and I shared a Milk & Dark Chocolate Toffee - of course, I am a Milk Chocolate fan & my hubs primarily ate the Dark Chocolate. The crunch from the toffee and instant flow of sugar in my veins was a nice pick me up after breakfast from earlier in the day. Chocolate Fetish makes award winning Truffles and Sea Salt Caramels. While in Asheville, NC we went on the hunt for a nice Chocolate confectioner as we really wanted to have some hot chocolate as the day was quite cold. Lucky for us we stumbled upon Chocolate Fetish. The store is actually very nice and their staff is extremely helpful. We tried their 6oz hot European sipping chocolate but don't be fooled. 6oz is actually more than enough as the chocolate is very rich and tasty. I had a flashback of Angelina's Cafe in Paris who also has amazing hot chocolate and confectionary items. We also tried the chocolate apricots which were awesome as well. So if your sweet tooth starts to long for some great chocolate hot or otherwise and you find yourself in downtown Asheville, feel free to stop by and check them out. You won't go wrong. While on a ladies' trip to the Biltmore, we stopped in to Chocolate Fetish to try the award-winning chocolates. WOW!!! The store has so many different options- we were there before Christmas so there were chocolate Santas, chocolate snowflakes, hot drinking chocolate (super thick incredible hot chocolate), Christmas presents, and lots of peppermint chocolates. Because I am phenomenally indecisive and I love all chocolate, I got a huge bag of assorted items, as did my friends. With the help of the fantastic staff, and the guidance from Tanner, we brought home an incredible selection. It was like Christmas each day choosing a different truffle to try or eating a different caramel at someone's house! We bought presents for other friends for Christmas, all of whom LOVED them! This amazing little place is full of fun! For a birthday surprise we bought a life size chocolate champagne bottle filled with candy. In the Spring for another birthday it was a beautiful women's stiletto- solid chocolate and truly a piece of art! We stopped by recently and picked up some stocking stuffers that were chocolate bars wrapped in a bow and beautifully presented. I grew up with Sees Candy.
