The only thing that could have made my drink better would have been more ice, but then I would have less of my delicious beverage, so I can't really complain.

It was rather quiet when we arrived but the folks seemed to start pouring in as we sipped our coffees. My cortado was excellent even if it was in a paper cup. Mrs. K. was happy with her latte which is the proper test. We lingered a bit, enjoying the quiet and watching Black Mountain wake up around us before getting back on the road. It was light and fluffy. It was definitely enough to share between two people. The cafe had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They had a variety of board games one can play. The one negative was that I didn't see a wheelchair ramp to get in and out of the coffee shop. It made getting in and out difficult with a stroller.

We ended up parking on the street up the hill near some residential homes, but don't let that deter you. One of the coolest parts was being able to watch the doughnuts being made right in front of us. There was a line when we arrived, and we waited about 15 minutes to order and another 10 minutes or so for our doughnuts. Even with the wait, I'd do it all over again. The doughnuts were incredibly fresh, warm, light, and fluffy. Every flavor we tried was delicious, but the vanilla glazed and the toasted almond sesame cinnamon were my favorite. If you're in Asheville, this spot is definitely worth a visit.
