Legends has extremely competitive pricing (Games Workshop stuff usually 20% off!) and a very nice selection of board games, comic books, cards, minatures, and geeky merch (I definitely picked up a Rainbow Dash mug on my last visit here.) If they don't have something that you have your eye on, you can connect with them to see if they will order it for you (which they likely will, if they can!) Really flexible hours of operation, open late many nights of the week, and there are constantly events occuring here. They have a fairly large, well-lit, and clean gaming space in the back. Customer service here is quite friendly. I'd HIGHLY reccomend checking out Legends if you are in/around the Vaughan area to get your geek on :).

It's like Walmart lol you go in for one thing and leave with 10. There's a pretty good selection of board games, both popular and obscure. If they don't have what you're looking for they'll gladly order it for you and give you a call when it comes in. The guys who work there are all very nice and very knowledgeable. The first time I came, I was still fairly new to tabletop gaming so I wasn't sure what to get. I had my eyes set on Agricola but after talking to the associate I realized I wasn't ready for such a heavy euro game just yet. The associate asked us what we liked and then basically went through their entire collection with us, pointing out and explaining various games that he thought would appeal to us. You don't get customer service like that anymore! All the games are also much cheaper than you would find at Chapters or Mastermind Games. They've also got tons of other nerd stuff like comic books, figurines, and superhero paraphernalia. The store is located in the back of the plaza so it's difficult to find if you don't know where to look.

They now have a pickleball court which was busy. Malls are changing with the times to include indoor exercise facilities and a range of food options, while focusing less on traditional retail. It's been many years since we've been in the Promenade, and it probably wouldn't be a surprise that we barely recognized it as a lot has changed. We stopped by in the early afternoon on a Friday. My sister and I met my cousin at Tim Hortons in the food court. While my cousin and I both enjoyed a beverage and a donut at Tim Hortons, my sister instead opted for Yogenfruz. My sister later had lunch at Sushi-Q while I chose Feta & Olives. We were surprised a number of the food vendors were closed on a weekday afternoon. We then stopped in Roots, Dollarama, and Olive Branch. There were certainly a variety of different vendors, and it was fun to learn there was now a pickleball place in the Promenade. The Promenade has a Guest Services team that staff the counter located at the Bathurst Street Main Entrance. The mall also offers free Wi-Fi, complimentary wheel chairs, access to SmarteCarte Self-Serve strollers, and family parking options at each of their main entrances with parking options for expectant mothers and parents with young children. The hours at the mall are Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Saturday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM. There are holiday hours published for Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. The Promenade also has special events like free treats on Halloween (this Friday), the Haunted Carnevil from Halloween for three days, and an Autism fundraising night at the St. Louis Bar & Grill throughout half of October and November. Unlike Cali, you can't purchase hot food items at the register along with your other Costco purchases. It took about 20 minutes to get my order. I really liked the crispness of the fries. It was a generous portion for $4.99. Unfortunately the cheese curds were cold and didn't melt. Gravy was alright. I would just get the fries alone next time

The main caveat when shopping here is that you need to know your price points. No matter what time of day, or day of the week you come here, it's a zoo. You'll need to be in physical condition to handle the jostling, and cart wrenching, around other shoppers, and some tight spaces and corners. I don't find food to be competitively priced for the most part. Again, you need to be familiar with price points for the name brands they carry. I can find Kraft peanut butter on sale at No Frills or the like for one regular sized container at a better per unit cost than the 2x2kg packages you have to buy at Costco. I find things like cleaning supplies and clothing to be better deals. They distribute a monthly flyer in my neighbourhood, so I can browse before deciding it's worth the trip. When it comes to seasonal items like lawn furniture, be prepared to snap up a good deal when you see it, because those tend to be one of shipments that don't get replenished. Same with some occasional specials like appliances. If you enjoy a fast food snack like at IKEA, they do have pizza slices, hot dogs, fries, and drinks for very cheap prices. I rarely can stand to stay one moment longer than I have to, so I can't speak to how they taste. My husband absolutely refuses to set foot in there on principle. His motto is, They should be applying for a membership with me for my business. Having said that, he wasn't above having me get a gift for myself there when it came to saving $500 on a Kenwood stand mixer. A deal is a deal! You just need to recognize them, as opposed to blindly believing that everything there is a good buy.

Recently, I returned to this plaza to pick up an order at Penningtons. After recommending gel nail strips from Winners to the female staffer after she let me know that she loved my nails, it was a good idea to check out this Winners. This plaza is huge, so I drove over to this store. I parked steps away from the entrance and walked in. I had forgotten how huge this store was. I remember waiting for what felt like ages at the checkout when I last visited it. I was here on a Wednesday evening. It wasn't as crazy. I spent a lot of time looking at purses. There were many that I found interesting and cool. I found a Kipling crossbody in a cheerful cantaloupe colour. I already own this style in purple, so I didn't need another one. If I did, I would have bought it. Sure enough, I did not steer the woman at Penningtons wrong. I found a few gel nail strips that were waiting for her to snatch up. The shoe section is impressive. There were many pairs of footwear for my size 11 feet, from sandals, to sneakers. I saw men's shoe sizes go up to 14 at this store. It was impressive. The drinkware section is also decent. You can get tiki and pineapple mugs to conjure tropical vibes. I was thrilled to see a good selection of travel tumblers. The athleisure wear section was also cool. I liked the Adidas tops in cheerful colours, such as lime and pink. There were also lightweight track pants and shorts that looked stylish and comfy. This store has a small plushies section. I did see Hello Kitty and a couple of Squishmallows while I was there. It's a small, but mighty section. I was briefly waiting in the lineup before I approached a cheerful cashier. I had my TJX Style + cards scanned, followed by paying for my items with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I thanked the woman and left. It was nice returning to this Winners. I should visit it more often. It's a good store. (223)
