According to the lender, the appraisal was ordered on Sept 3rd with a due date of Sept 8th. As Sept 8th came and went with zero contact from Melissa, she arrived at the home on Sept 12th stating that her measurements was incorrect and she would need to remeasure the home. I spoke with her at this time, and found she was clueless. She didn't know the lot size, school district, water/sewer system, nor has she pulled any comps yet. To add to this she brought her toddler child with her. The close date on the contract was set for September 16th. The appraisal wasn't returned to the lender until Sept 18th but was incorrect and had to be sent back. She did complete the corrections and returned the appraisal on Sept 23rd. All this time, I'm paying interest to my lean holder. (About $800 extra interest) Now for the appraisal which was under. This home is a spec home that as been built two other times in the same school district and lot size. The other two homes appraised for $143 a sq (almost a year old) and the other was $146 a sq (about 4 months old) I get an appraisal of $140.75 a sq (in a growing housing market) I will also be filing a complaint with the state.

I attended an estate sale and purchased a large, heavy mirror. I realized I wouldn't be able to…read morehelp carry it, so I asked a staff member if someone could assist. She told me yes and mentioned a tip for the person who helped. A gentleman then helped my husband carry the mirror down the stairs. At the top of the stairs, a woman who I believe is named Brittany Y. began following closely behind them on the staircase, which felt unnecessary and made an already difficult situation more stressful. Once downstairs, I handed a cash tip directly to the gentleman. At that point, Brittany took the money from his hand and immediately asked me if I had more to give. When I said "excuse me," she responded, "Not trying to be tacky, but can you give him more money?" I declined. Instead of leaving it there, she remained outside harassing me while my husband and I secured the mirror and continued to ask us for more money. During this time, she told me that "this is her business, and the employee only makes $15 an hour and she doesn't have insurance for them to move things". This was uncomfortable and inappropriate. Discussing an employee's wages and internal policies with a customer-- and especially asking for more money--is highly unprofessional. I did apologize just to end the interaction, but the situation should never have escalated this way. I was willing to tip for help, but being pressured repeatedly and having the money taken from the employee was unacceptable. While I appreciate the help from the gentleman, this experience left a very negative impression. If employees are not supposed to assist with moving items, Brittany could have said something before they started down the stairs.
