Thanks, Kenny. Apparently I appreciate the review more than Yelp does!

There were upwards of 80 people in my class. That's $10,000 in user fees for one class and you can't hire anyone to answer the business phone during business hours? ok. So, my calls were not answered, and my voicemail was not returned. This set a rude and unresponsive tone, and I felt shoved into their preferred mode of correspondence with zero choice. I drove 51 miles per hour; I didn't kill anyone! Every touchpoint with this company has been menacing and judgmental. Is that the culture that you're going for? Literally out to lunch - never answered the phone, even today! Poor follow through - did not return my voicemail. Finally, their notifications were incomplete. The email that I was supposed to receive 2 days prior with a link to register, did not include the link. Since you can only interact with them by their preferred method of communication, I emailed and had the misfortune of dealing with two people who have absolutely no commitment to let alone apparently any training in deescalation. I finally got the information that I needed. However, over the course of the correspondence I was judged, not heard, dismissed, sassed back, and ultimately threatened with retaliation. That's right this "customer service professional" took the time to get the last word and directly threaten me with retaliation. What assurance do I have that this person won't pursue further retaliation by losing my paperwork or "forgetting" to file it on time?

She is unpleasant in general, questionable in her role as an "instructor", and unapologetic as well as unaccountable. After an incident in her class where my high school daughter and I were specifically singled out for harassment, Loree determined that my intention to reach out directly to ODOT was a "threat", and expelled my daughter (who had participated respectfully and had never missed a single class session or driving lesson) from her program. A legal challenge had to be made, and a complaint to ODOT filed. If you prefer to interact with a driving school that is ethical, with a strong customer service orientation and an eye towards treating students fairly above all, this is not the right driving "academy" for your family.

While she may be an adequate "driving instructor," I don't believe that Loreen is necessarily at her best when she interacts with people. Especially when it involves taking accountability and apologizing. Loreen and I spoke on the telephone twice, for a length of time before coordinating dates/times that would best suit my daughters schedule and hers. After verbally discussing pricing and scheduling, a PayPal invoice was delivered to my email address. 1. The invoice was incorrect. When I telephoned Loreen, I asked her to please send a corrected invoice. She immediately countered with, "No, I didn't make an error. That is how much the driving lesson cost." Needless to say, the invoice was again emailed with the correct pricing. So YES, she did make an error and NO, she did not apologize. 2. An email with dates for the scheduled driving driving dates/times was to be emailed to my daughter. (I had placed them in my calendar as well). It was not emailed, even after calling twice to remind her. 3. Yesterday was suppose to be my daughters first driving lesson. At 10 minutes past the hour, no driving instructor had arrived. I telephoned Loreen, she said that she had no recollection of us speaking and that she certainly would not have scheduled driving instruction without payment. I DID pay, the same day that the invoice arrived, via PayPal. Which she discovered after looking at her payments. Her tone with me was condescending and rude. To finish out an otherwise long review; I understand that we all make mistakes. That life can be stressful and overwhelming. That being said, it would have been professional and humanly kind, for Loreen to apologize and make an attempt to remedy her error. Instead she has overbooked with other clients. After a couple telephone conversations, she is refunding me in cash today (I don't trust her to actually send a refund otherwise). People, integrity and kindness go a long way in this world. You will be pleasantly surprised how people lean into you, and are inspired by your light. Pay it forward here and there, and be kind. Take ownership if you have made a mistake and do your very best to remedy it. :-)

We did GA, and I got the senior discount, so that was cool. There's a bar that you can order beverages. I saw some people with charcuterie boards. I ended up with a rosé. I won't do that next time. There was a 15 minute intermission, but the line for the bathroom was so long. I ended up going back to my seat. So I ended up getting a little uncomfortable the last half of the show. I did like the interaction with the audience.. though I'm glad they never picked on me!

The recent show I attended had great snacks and drinks - one couple even seemed to have a charcutier and bottle of wine though most of the seating does not have a lot of options to set things down. The crowds are always diverse. I was a bit shocked when an actor tapped someone sitting to move for them and the guy blatantly just ignored her.... just wow. This location just has one bathroom which is on a timer. I had an awkward lights out situation while in there. I seriously just sat and lights out... I use a cane and am already awkward enough without being in a strange space needing to find the roll of tp in pitch black and also get up and find the light switch. Someone was behind me so I warned them just in case...a person who worked there barked loudly at me that 'IT'S ON A FIFTEEN MINUTE TIMER' and I am uncertain if that was chastising me saying I was in there longer than the maybe five minutes I was - even with me stumbling around in the dark. It was just rather odd. Also, it seems a staple for places to have ushers who are generally clueless that they work there and there is a whole audience there to see a show. I was right by the door and a romantically involved couple who were both ushers sat also right by the door the whole show. I am not sure which was more annoying - him texting through the whole show {while rustling a program to try to hide his phone which was actually more distracting} or her constantly petting him and whispering back and forth with him through the entire show. I get that they have probably seen the play fifty times now and are bored but there was a teen who, legit was wearing flannel PJ bottoms and was pretty young who stayed engaged, not even fidgeting the whole time. So, maybe have the ushers by the exit who can pretend we the audience are new here and want to watch the play. There were a few audience members who would stand up to see things or had crazy weird laughs and that actually makes it more amusing. I was seated between two entrance and exits but honestly the actors move throughout and I feel like there really are not bad seats so pick out the type of chair you feel good sitting in since it is all unique pieces of furniture.
