I like reading these reviews of people complaining about the price, but like my wife said when I went in for my consultation that my health was more important than what it cost. I started the program over 2 years ago, I figured I would try it as a test cause I figured it wouldn't work like every other program. I was wrong, I went in there and almost every week I had a weight loss. The coaches at the Peabody office, where I go, are always there for me, weather be email or when I would go in for my visit they would ask me my plans for the week and going out and they would review the menu and give me suggestions on what to eat. On the program I'm down close to 100 pounds. I'm wearing clothes that I don't think I've ever fitted in high school. So if you want a plan the works Awaken 180 is the one, expensive, kind of. This is an reasonably expensive program, but it actually works. I'm down 35+ lbs in 11 weeks so far and feeling great!! I have a lot more energy, am excited by my progress, and have received lots of positive comments from family, friends, and colleagues! The provided food is decent with lots of protein (I particularly like the oatmeal, soups and smoothies). I have learned lots of strategies for eating out... naked burger and broccoli at Chili's, salad without cheese, croutons and high cal dressings, etc. Staff is very helpful and motivating. The expense also keeps me fully engaged because I have a monetary incentive to make it work. I have had far less success in the past with free self-directed programs. As a nice bonus, I was also able to pay for it using my insurance HSA account. Overall, highly recommend!! read more

Let me start by saying, I REALLY WANTED TO DO THIS. Great success rates and program. But! I went in for my consultation interview at 180 today, $25 just for that. I was asked to remove my shoes and step on this fancy gizmo scale and grasp 2 magic handles that would all measure my BMI and fat index etc.. I got the whole spiel about the process and the food they supply. The goals and projections, blah blah blah.... I do know of the success for many people and am always hearing about it on "Sports talk Radio" ( I think all those guys get it for free or at great discount). In the end when it came down to it it was $4500 for a 12 week program their food included, or $325 a week. Um. that's about the same as my rent for peeps sake. They talked about it like I was made of money. She did offer me a 1 month or 4 week program for $1200 but I would have had to have put down 650 right then and the rest in 2 weeks. It's a business, I get it, but it is also a $$ grab. Too bad people who need help can't get it for a reasonable cost. I guess it's really how bad do you want it and at what cost. I would do it if I could afford it. It is a great program. read more

I went to Awaken180 in all hopes of losing weight and feeling great doing it. Well, I went in and felt out of place. I felt as though I was placed in an open room where everyone could hear my business and I was cornered into the program right then and there. There was no "go home and think about it". It was "call your financial contributors and stay here until you say yes". No one stated their titles. So, I can only assume no one is a doctor or dietician. I paid $1,000 right off the bat, not being properly informed how that money would be used. The foods are all powder based. About 100 calories per package. And each item tastes like CRAP. Worse than hospital food, I might add. - But that is 80% of what you are told to eat. I felt hungry, dizzy, lightheaded, and tired. When I told the girl I spoke with what I was feeling she said to add more salt to my diet. INCORRECT. Salt increases blood pressure, as well as enhances the feeling of tiredness. Back to the money: I was under the assumption that I would pay the $1,000 and it would be put toward my weeks to come. Nope. I was wrong. I walked in there on week 2 and didn't bring my purse with me. They asked me for my $295 payment and I told them I had no payment on me. Next up? Well, they told me that they SAVED my card information....WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! I was livid, and I was confused at that answer. So, they took my $295. I am now $1,300 out and I would not recommend this facility to ANYONE! I am headed to a new program that has ACTUAL medical staff and takes insurance plans, not just cold hard cash. If you are looking for something GREAT, don't go to Awaken180...seek professional and medical help. read more

I have been a member at Awaken 180 in Peabody for a year and has been the best investment that I have made in my health. The staff in the Peabody office has been so good to work with. I have been in maintenance mode fo 8 months and with the help from the staff in Peabody I have lost weight each month and haven't put a pound back on. When I first signed up I was 247 pound and the awaken 180 team in Peabody stayed I should be at 185 and a BMI of 22. I thought that they where crazy and didn't know what they where talking about. I have just made it to my one year I'm at 193 and my BMI is 22.2. They were right on it because I'm going for the 185 goal. read more
