It would not be an exaggeration to say that the ideas and teachings I have learned here have been life changing. Unlike other (e.g. 12 step) approaches to recovery that teach the individual to view themselves as an addict, the curriculum that Reed and team have put together focus on the underlying processes and mechanics that are at the root of all addictions. A surprisingly little amount of time is actually spent talking about addiction directly, because the program is more broad and provides clients with a holistic new way of being in the world. Recovery from addiction is a natural secondary effect from this learning, but clients can expect to see meaningful improvements in nearly every aspect of their lives on their path to a life of greater peace and ease. The curriculum draws from numerous sources and is not dogmatic or limited by orthodoxy. Meditation, mindfulness, and a better understanding of one's true "self" stand out as cornerstones of the approach at Centered. I recommend Centered, without caveat, to anyone struggling with addiction, behavioral challenges, or mental health issues.

The case managers and the educational staff were amazing, caring people who helped me with coping tools, creating boundaries, things to do to keep depression and anxiety away, etc. I went to the day programs for about 6 weeks, and I've been active in their support groups and volunteering ever since. Going back to Ridgeview campus is a great feeling for me; I have met the most amazing support network there in the 12-step groups. Definitely helped me cope with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and more.

Most of the staff were rude and the very few that did care were overworked. Ridgeview made everything worse and I had to nurse my wife back to health upon release. Due to one of the 3 attacks she experienced, we are now drowning in hospital bills and had to replace dentures (6 grand). Taking her to Ridgeview was one of the worst mistakes ever. Back in February, my wife went here due to mania/hypomania caused by a new antidepressant her psychiatrist gave her. On her first day, she was attacked (the first time out of 3) and taken to the ER. During the attack (punched in the face), she was knocked out, and her brand new implant dentures were knocked out. She was attacked at 11am and they got her to the hospital so late, she had to stay the night. I thought it would be going on their insurance but we started receiving bills a month later. The staff member who called me to tell me about the attack was completely rude. When I asked what happened she screamed at me, saying "I just told you, she was attacked!!" I asked her "how did it transpire" and she then got frustrated not knowing what the word "transpire" means. I was then told when she gets back from the hospital they're gonna move her out of that unit, the ICU. She got back the next day and they didn't move her and she got attacked again (punched in the face repeatedly by another patient, yet again) . While she was at the hospital. I got a call from the nurse practitioner for the psychiatrist there. He told me they had no record of my wife's medications. I told him to contact her psychiatrist, made sure he had the number, and then spent the next week telling anybody who would listen to contact her psychiatrist. No one ever did. After 7-10 days, I was wondering why she wasn't getting better. While there, she was getting noticeably worse. Once released, I found out that they were not only giving her the medication that she had the reaction to but had upped it five times the amount she was taking before going there. On top of that, they were also giving her a very large dose of Depakote. That was to sedating her so much, she was falling asleep in chairs. That med was only hiding the mania. When I looked up the medicine it said do not take if you have "liver or pancreas issues." I was appalled they were giving her that since my wife has had pancreatitis multiple times in the past 10 years and they were all well aware of that. It could've killed her. She was released on a Monday and they told us she had an appointment with her psychiatrist, the next Monday at 1:30. After a few days, I called the psychiatrist office to see if we could get an emergency visit because of the worries with the medicines. That's when I learned there wasn't an appointment even made. Whichever Ridgeview employee wrote down the date and time for the appointment completely made it up. Now, just like when she was there, I can not get in touch with anyone. We have all these hospital bills from them not keeping her safe. I have contacted the patient advocate multiple times and wrote an email but have not heard anything back. From reading the newer reviews, she probably has her hands full. The incompetence with this place was so over the top, I'm shocked it is open. Needs to be shut down. A person looking for help, shouldn't be coming out mentally, physically, and financially worse.

ARP works with clients to be active members of society, including reconnecting with their identity, life purpose, independence, and responsibility. This program encompasses all the aspects that help young adults who are isolated with mental health issues develop life expectations (i.e., jobs, social activities, shopping on a budget, medication management). I did not call your office to request any change, nor did I receive any confirmation email or phone call regarding this rescheduling. When I contacted your office to ask about this issue, I was told that the change was made at the patient's request, which is incorrect. I clearly stated that I did not request any change and asked how my appointment could be moved without my authorization or notification. Despite this, I was informed that nothing could be done, even though the mistake was not mine. I then politely requested that the staff check with the doctor to see if I could come at any time on my original appointment date, as I am flexible. I was told that the staff member would check with the doctor and call me back. Unfortunately, I never received a call. When I followed up later the same day, I was told that the staff member was still "in a meeting with the provider." When I called again several hours later, I was told to hold, and then informed that she "did not mean to call" me at all. This response was extremely dismissive and disrespectful. As of now, I am still waiting for a callback. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic courtesy from the front desk staff has been very disappointing. This situation reflects very poorly on your office's patient service standards. I hope this matter can be reviewed seriously and corrected as soon as possible. I would appreciate confirmation of my appointment status and an explanation of how this situation occurred.

Tiffany, the Program Director, recommended inpatient treatment, but after explaining the trust I had built with my daughter and my concerns about breaking it, she listened. She agreed to let us try outpatient care first--and I'm so grateful she did. It wasn't easy at first. Valentine resisted the program completely--she'd refuse to get out of the car, isolate during group sessions, and even walk out into the parking lot during the day. But her therapist, Meighan, built a connection. That relationship became a lifeline. Slowly, Valentine started opening up in individual sessions, then in groups, and we began to see glimmers of progress at home. What sets Newport apart is the comprehensive care they offer--not just therapy. Valentine had access to equine therapy, yoga, cooking classes, and holistic services like Reiki and mindfulness practices. They treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. I've always felt very comfortable with speaking to him about anything and he truly listens and gives you the utmost respect and is non-judgmental. He truly cares about his patients and their overall wellbeing and I am very blessed to have met him and get the treatment that I need. Just follow his advice and you'll be fine! Obtaining the best overall healthcare is a two way street. It takes the patient to listen and cooperate and do as the doctor recommends and the doctor to follow up with how you are improving. My intake was performed by two interns/ college students who were clearly unfamiliar with the software they were using. While they were asking questions pertinent to my clinical needs, it was incredibly embarrassing since they were whispering amongst each other. I asked several times to just meet with Dr. Antin because of my discomfort. I was honest about it. Eventually he came in and told me that if I wanted him to do my intake that I should come on the weekend when he sees clients who pay cash. He said that insurance doesn't pay enough for him to be able to do intakes on each patient. Rationally, I understand it. It's a business. In the moment, his inappropriate candor was deeply disheartening during a really dangerous and difficult time. I would never recommend him, and have encouraged others to choose someone else.

Our email exchanges continued on Friday and in Saturday. You just don't find a doctor nowadays who responds and really cares like Dr Antin. He said just the right words to help me and I feel he was genuine in what he said. I followed up with a visit with him on Thursday and his concern carried over in that visit. He took the time to listen and answer my questions. He is the most caring doctor I have ever seen. And again I highly recommend him!

They let me take a few minute to compose myself while Dr. Loft explained, in GREAT detail, what would happen and how. Every step of the way he would tell me specifically what was happening and get this...when I asked if they had a fan to help me with the claustrophobia one of his nurses literally fanned me. This is an experience unlike any other EVER!!! I can now see 20/20 and have no problems at all. Dr. Loft could not have been more caring, compassionate, or professional. I seriously would not hesitate to have him perform LASIK on any member of my family. This has been the best experience imaginable and I have no doubt that any other doctor would not have been able to perform the procedure on me. AMAZING!!!!
