Most chiropractors give me an adequate adjustment but every now and then you find a Unicorn. That rare chiropractor that adjusts you using the exact techniques you prefer. Every chiropractor has a unique style to their adjustments. When I moved away from California I had to leave my favorite practitioner. I've been less than impressed with current offerings around Richmond. They say good help is hard to find, well try finding a good chiropractor. I had taken a break from chiropractic care when around five years ago my ex-wife mentioned Dr. Walentin. I was apprehensive at best. Then she said "he adjusts like Dr. De La Fe" and my ears perked up... OH REALLY? This is quite the high praise since you never forget your favorite. Now I wish I could tell you what Dr. Walentin is doing exactly. I can't honestly say if it's the Gonstead vs Diversified vs Logan Technique but it's 100% what I require. I need a proper adjustment and I need my Chiropractor to really get in there and put things back into proper alignment. I don't like the gentle tickle approach. I want to feel it. My hips and neck constantly like to go out of alignment. It takes some strength and skill to put me back together. If you're like me and require a somewhat aggressive adjustment this is the place you're looking for. Dr. Walentin's technique is first rate and I can't go to anyone else. I've had Dr. Walentin adjust everything on my body. The joints in my knees, my wrist, my elbows, and even this bum ankle of mine. Usually we focus on the spine but the good Doctor can adjust every single joint on the human body. The man is a miracle worker. I typically visit once a week for routine maintenance. When I moved away from Mechanicsville to Midlothian and drove to the man's house. That's how serious I am about my Chiropractors. A good Chiropractor is only as good as their office manager and the charming Cecilia completes the total package. Her professionalism and kindness are second to none and I'm happy to be a loyal patient. Heck, you're talking to the original patient of Advanced Laser Therapy & Chiropractic. In closing, I've only used the Laser Therapy once and since my elbow pain has subsided I can't speak to that very much. What I can attest to is one of the finest chiropractors in Virginia if not the country.

From 2004-2006 another local neurologist was treating my daily migraines and many other symptoms from the (as of that time undiagnosed) permanent brain injury that I received in the dog attack. This other neurologist's ONLY treatment for me was Vicodin, which was not helping me, it was only making it worse. He did not listen to me nor do an MRI. At the time that I first went to CNS I was barely able to speak in full sentences. Each morning would start with me being sick, from waking up with a migraine, so I could not be around bright lights w/o extreme pain in my head. I had a severe balance problem causing me to fall down three flights of stairs fracturing my spine in several places. I could go on, but you probably get the picture. Dr. O'Shanick listened to me. He properly diagnosed me and helped me with O.T., Speech Therapy, got me off of the Vicodin and on proper migraine therapy. After two years of daily migraines and not wanting to leave the darkness in my home, I finally started to function again! I could remember words when I would have a conversation with my kids. The migraines slowly went away, thank the Lord! I stopped falling, learning how to deal with my balance being 'off'. In short, thanks to Dr. O'Shanick, I actually feel 'human' again.
