Al principio parecía que estaba bien, pero cuando mi cabello se secó, el frente quedó mochado. Cuando le mencioné a la dueña el problema del permanente anterior, inicialmente negó que fuera su trabajo. Después de mostrarle pruebas, comenzó a poner excusas en lugar de asumir responsabilidad. A pesar de esto, regresé al día siguiente para un balayage. También le pedí que arreglara el mal corte. Lo recortó un poco, pero cuando le señalé que seguía viéndose igual, se puso a la defensiva. Decidí dejarlo así para evitar que me cortaran más el cabello. En cuanto al balayage, le di una oportunidad pensando que se vería mejor una vez completamente seco, pero el resultado fue con mechones marcados y líneas duras, nada parecido a un balayage. Llamé a la mañana siguiente para pedir que lo corrigiera, pero se negó a ofrecer soluciones reales, repitiendo que no se podía arreglar en lugar de buscar maneras de corregir el trabajo mal realizado. El personal fue amable durante las citas, pero la actitud de la dueña cambió completamente cuando señalé los problemas. La falta de responsabilidad y la falta de disposición para ofrecer soluciones profesionales hicieron que esta experiencia fuera muy decepcionante. They sometimes do walk ins, but I it's best to call first. My sister went to Eva because she dyed her hair bright red and let a friend butcher her hair. However, by the time I saw my sister with her red, cropped 'do, she was gorgeous! I'm funny about people touching my hair, so I started off with a shampoo & press. I left feeling and looking good and thus began our relationship. I trust her with scissors, dye and even a needle and thread (if you get what I'm saying.) I don't relax my hair (well, I recently let Eva relax the edges) and I had actually been to a stylist that complained about the texture of my hair. Not the case with this salon. There are other amazing stylists at New Attitude. If you're skeptical, drive by and look at the women walking out. I've seen them deal with short and long hair, naturally curly hair, weaves, and color and every woman leaving that place looks like a million bucks.

Disrespectful. I had an appointment for Saturday at 9am…read morewith DJ. I text when I'm 5 minutes away, and then when I'm there. A stylist asks who I'm there for, I say DJ, and then she says oh I'm sure she's on her way. I thought to myself wow, she's not even here, okay... DJ leaves my texts on read without responding and now I've waited 30 minutes. I text again asking, "What's your ETA?" .. no response, but her read receipts say she's seen it. Another stylist asks me who im there for, I say DJ, she says "oh DJ isn't coming in today, she didn't text you?" I say no and then she finds me another stylist who is there to do my hair. My time was ultimately wasted by DJ who eventually finally texted that she was feeling under the weather and that we'll "have to reschedule" but she should have told me that at least an hour before my appointment time, at the very minimum when she read my texts that I was there instead of just leaving me on seen. My total waiting time since I arrived at the salon was an hour and a half, and I was going to just go home but I had spent this much time already and had already (hesistantly) agreed for another stylist to do me hair. The new stylist was nice and gave me some decent hair tips and all was good with the wash, deep condition, and trim, but when it came to the actual style, oh lord. I asked for her to define my curls and I already had a part in my hair upon arrival. She doesn't ask me what part I want or anything. She only defines the back of my head, and finger coils parts of my hair in the front and gives me a DEEP A** side part, so there's a mountain of hair piled above my forehead. I was asleep during this part bc you know, sleep deprived college student, but she still should've asked and this was simply not what I asked for. I looked like somebody's Aunty. She explained that the front of my hair has more of a wave than curl pattern, but I've defined my whole head of hair before. Just because it's looser doesn't mean it can't be defined to give a consistent curl pattern. I had been in that salon at that point for so so long that I just took the L, paid and left. Restyled my entire head when I got home, so my only apology to her is sorry for her wasting her time but she decided to do her own thing without asking. DJ canceled the appointment in her head and didn't bother to communicate. These are supposed to be grown professional adults. I am never going back there.
