I will start by saying I have not been to a hair salon in years. I'm a beauty gal so I bleach/dye/cut my own hair but I've just been too busy. I've been going to Lori for almost 10 years now! I wouldn't go anywhere else for my haircuts. I had another perfect one this morning, but saw the salon was almost empty because of the COVID-19 scare. You don't need to be. As of today, according to the LA County Department of Public Health, there have been 144 cases of Corona virus diagnosed in total for LA county (including Long Beach and Pasadena). Out of over 10 million people! LA is still a very safe place! Now, things can change, and could get worse. But as of now, the social distancing is having tremendous results. Going to Lori's salon (which is spotless) is very safe. I wouldn't have been there this morning if I didn't feel completely safe doing it. Came here a few weeks ago because my usual stylist was busy, the yelp reviews is what sold me on this place. I had mid back length hair walking in here I asked for layers I liked the cut until the day I straightened it, man was that a bad idea ! This a continuation of another shining hair review. I was a very blonde woman! Right b4 Covid hit, I somehow timed it right to start the process of letting more of my own natural color show through, all the while wanting to definitely remain blonde without being super bleach blonde. 8 months in, I am LOVING it. Lori has transformed my hair from ALL blonde to still very blonde, but with natural (my own darker color) now showing through as well. We are still working on the process, but it's now at a place where I could be very happy with it just as is. I absolutely love it. Thank you, Lori, for that vision that I had that you made a reality. I'm pretty protective over my hair, so entrusting anybody with cutting it is something I'm hyper critical of. But, that being said, I trust Lori completely with making sure that I'm getting exactly what I want. I've let her cut it short after years of having the length to my waist, and some very subtle coloring, though I know if I decide I want a more drastic change, I can absolutely trust Lori's skills. I was badly in need of a good stylist for a long overdue haircut and highlights and was very sceptical of going to a new salon. I had no chance but to find one as holidays were coming up and I was on an extended visit to my daughter in L.A. I searched high and low and found HeadQuarters Salon on the internet and chose to give it a try as it had raving reviews and a perfect score of all 5 stars. My appointment was with Lori. I told her what I wanted in terms of cut and colour, she explained to me why she would not be able to achieve the colour I wanted and showed her pictures of without comprimising the integrity of my hair and told me she would do her best to get as close to what I wanted as possible. She said "trust me and let me do it my way" and I did. I am so very glad I listened to her, the result of both the cut and the colour came out much better than what I had hoped for and there was absolutely no damage whatsover to my hair.
