I am NOT the only person they have done this too! When I roofed my house (due to corrupt insurance companies), they were supposed to uninstall and reinstall, BUT then soon decided they wanted about $3200 to do so. I requested someone to look at my system (September 10, 2025); the request stated someone would contact me about the request. NO ONE called me about setting up a time or an amount to service the system they took over. They sent someone out without talking to me, I told him verbally (my camera storage does not go farther than 60 days) to hook up a machine to the inverter to tell me he needs to reschedule to come back to get on the roof. NO ONE called to reschedule. NO ONE came to complete the work! Later they text me about a bill for $200 for servicing thei system of incomplete work! September 15, 2025, they emailed me an invoice. I called to tell them this, they immediately put me on a black list not to service my solar (I just found out today December 9, 2025). Today they are threatening me to send this to claims. Why am I to pay for a service that is supposed to be done for free, specially when they did not complete the work? September 2025, I left a google review, they demanded I remove it. They have yet to send me a copy of a signed work over for this job for me approving the amount and work!

They interacted with the cats which can be a rarity for some people. They were professional and were polite when walking in. They asked if they needed to take off their shoes. Courtney was on top of scheduling and made sure all of our questions were answered. She was humble enough to call her supervisor to clarify on unknown questions and to ensure a positive outcome. I took notes and ponder it at which time I called hin to say I had decided to get it installed. Tgere one problem, per him, that I would have to do, which was cut down one (1) branch from my tree. This was around Covid so there was a delay getting a crew out to install the panels. A nice young man knocked door and reported they were here to do the install. I said ok, let me if you need anything. It was only about 7 minutes when he knocked on the door again. He proceeded to tell that due to the tree in my backyard, I would not get enough sunlight to ben from the solar panels. I told what the the salesman said and he reiterated that taking the 1 branch off the tree would still not help, he offered to show me. I said okay, then you to pack up yors and stuff and move. The salesman was very dishonest. Thank God, I choose not to do it now that they went out of business!

Three years later we had a couple circuit breakers pop in the main panel, so I called them back to come check it out. They came right away and looked over the system. Turns out the plug overheated and since it was deemed (by them) to be related to their work three years prior, they waived all the labor cost because they fully guarantee their work. There were numerous issues - they initially told us our roof could handle solar.  The installers arrived and said there was an issue with the roof.  We had three different roofing companies inspect our roof - two when we purchased the house a few months prior to the solar being installed and one when Freedom Solar told us the roof had a problem.  NONE of the 3 roofing companies felt there was an issue.  Then Freedom had material issues.  We chose them because they told us they were a local company, which turns out they are not, and that parts were ALWAYS on hand. Finally the day arrives for the electrician and the panel installers to install the solar. The electrician did his work, unfortunately, the panel installers quit in the middle of the job. Why?  We have no clue.  We knew about the electrical boxes on the house because we could see them.  What angered us - the holes in our roof that were left behind by Freedom Solar. They neglected to tell us about the holes.  Had we not gone up to look at the roof, we would have discovered the problem only when the roof started leaking.   Fortunately, Proud American came to our rescue. They repaired the roof, as you can see in the photos.  They also did a fantastic job installing our solar. We did not have one problem with Proud American - we highly recommend them for solar!
