The instructor was so fun and personable and really supplemented the experience just by being awesome and encouraging! They help teach you how to throw and even though the concept can seem (and certainly can be) dangerous, they do a lot to make sure you're safe! ONE THING TO KNOW: WEAR CLOSED TOE SHOES!! It is a requirement ! Which makes total sense but if you're trying to do this spontaneously, it might not be the first thing on your mind so it's good to note! I was actually a little sore the next day, so yes it is strenuous! It's such a good time and definitely so much fun, especially if you're competitive. I one thousand percent recommend this! They are friendly, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about what they do. They're also great about adapting to the style of hints your group prefers. They'll give unlimited hints if you want them, but they're also really respectful if you'd rather play without nudges. Whenever we go, we ask for no hints unless we request them, and they always stick to that. On Saturday, July 4, 2026, I arrived at 11:40 a.m. for my scheduled 12:00 p.m. ATV tour. I…read morepurchased one side-by-side and one single ATV for my family. Unfortunately, this was by far the most disappointing experience I've had. Our tour was scheduled for noon, yet we did not return to our vehicle until approximately 2:24 p.m. Considering the ride itself is only one hour long, the delay was completely unacceptable. I paid over $600 for this experience, and instead of enjoying our scheduled ride, we spent well over an hour waiting outside in 98-degree heat. As a parent with children, you can understand how difficult and uncomfortable that was. Then, after waiting in the extreme heat, we still had to wear helmets for the ride--which I absolutely understand is necessary for safety--but the excessive wait beforehand made the experience even more exhausting. I understand that unexpected delays can happen and that businesses have busy days, especially on holidays. However, being more than an hour behind schedule without a better process in place is unacceptable. There should be procedures to manage significant delays or better communicate with guests when schedules fall that far behind. This was actually my third visit. Every time I come to Florida, I make it a point to visit your facility. The first year, our tour started about 15 minutes late. The second year, it was around 20-25 minutes behind schedule. This year, however, the delay exceeded an hour, and unfortunately, that has convinced me that I cannot return. I do want to recognize the positive side of our experience because your staff was outstanding. Please forgive me for not remembering everyone's names, but they deserve recognition. We had two gentlemen wearing the same shirts--one was our tour guide, and the other helped fit us with our helmets. Both were incredibly friendly and professional. There were also two women wearing pink shirts, one with blonde hair and one with black hair. They were both wonderful, and I especially appreciate the kindness shown when one of them offered my child a popsicle while we waited. There was also another woman with blonde hair in a ponytail wearing what looked like a blue-green tie-dye shirt. She was equally helpful and welcoming. Your employees were the highlight of our visit. They were accommodating, professional, and genuinely kind throughout the entire experience. They are the only reason I would even consider returning. However, the ongoing scheduling issues have overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable activity. Waiting over an hour in extreme heat after paying more than $600 simply isn't acceptable. I sincerely hope management reviews its scheduling process and makes improvements because your staff deserves to work for a business that delivers an experience equal to the level of service they provide. I researched Thompson's website as well as two other balloon companies. It was easy to make the choice to go with Thompson Aire. Now for my experience. On the confirmation call the evening before the flight I informed Captain Jeff Thompson that this was a special event. Although we were celebrating my wife's birthday, I explained that she doesn't like to be the center of attention. Captain Jeff promised that they would recognize the event without going over the top. They kept their promise with a tasteful birthday recognition and a unique trinket for a birthday gift. We arrived early and my wife only found out that we were taking a balloon flight at the pre-flight briefing. Captain Jeff explained everything so well in the pre-flight and introduction that my wife started to get excited about the adventure. There were two other couples (all strangers) flying that day. Captain Jeff and his crew had us laughing and talking with each other in minutes. They continued the pre-flight explanations outside before we loaded up in there roomy vans to head for the launch site. It was a short drive and the ground crew chatted with us and answered all the questions we had. The crew entertained us with additional information about our upcoming flight and ballooning in general. It was exciting to watch the crew set up and inflate the balloons for the day. They worked well as a team and continued to elevate our confidence in their abilities. Time to climb aboard for lift-up. Getting into the balloon was really easy. We floated gently away and watched the ground crew shrink away beneath us. Balloon flight is difficult to describe but I will try: INCREDIBLE, EXHILIRATING, PHENOMENAL, RELAXING, SOOTHING, SPIRITUAL, AWE-INSPIRING, FUN, FUN AND FUN! The limited number of passengers allowed us to interact with our pilot throughout the entire flight. Two Thompson Aire balloons took flight that day and what luck, we were assigned to Captain Jeff's balloon. This is at the very top of the list of incredible things that I have done. You could not pry the grin off my face with a crowbar. I simply could not stop enjoying myself. My wife was loving it. She says it is the best birthday gift she has ever received. We passed over several neighborhoods, waving at the people below. We even chatted with people on the ground as we floated by. We could hear the call of morning birds in the wooded areas we crossed over. Captain Jeff glided us in for a silky smooth landing followed by a classic champagne toast and more entertainment with the crew and other passengers. The breakfast buffet at the resort gave us all a chance to share how remarkable the flights had been. Both balloons had taken to similar flight paths but at different altitudes so we had stories to share. Then more entertainment from Captain Jeff and the crew. They shared funny experiences while we enjoyed breakfast together. The first flight certificates added to the fun of the day. The website at Thompson Aire is very informative and accurate in the attempt to describe the adventure. But words cannot truly convey the experience that you will have. This is my first balloon flight and when we go again I will choose Thompson Aire. I have been told that there are cheaper bellon flights available. The experience we had with Thompson Aire makes them my only choice.

I'm glad I did! Tom was very informative throughout the booking process, night before confirmation, and day-of events. We went out to our launch site and participated in prepping the envelope (balloon) for flight. We then launched into the air for a flight of about 1-hour and it did not disappoint. Tom is very friendly and answered all of our questions (which we had a ton since we're from Hawaii and we don't have hot air balloons). He gave so much information about why the balloon does what it does in the air, our flight speed and pattern, the landing process, and how it all started. After we landed, we had a few mimosa's and some snacks and interacted with the other passengers. 100/10 definitely recommend!!!
