Our dog was having an allergic reaction on Monday and Woodland wasn't open until 10am! I called Griffin Animal Care and they said to bring her in right away. They saw us fast and took great care of her, Dr. Webb was great at explaining what they were doing and I am positive Woodland would have charged me at least twice as much. We will definitely be switching to Griffin Animal care for all our vet needs.

He takes them on the third of the month. His annuals are this month on the 16th. I placed the order on the 28th of the month prior to his annuals. The vet refuses to approve saying they won't approve until his appointment on the 16th. So, they're forcing him to be late 2 weeks. Yea, and of course they didn't tell me of their decision, I had to call when petmeds sent me an email saying they hadn't heard from the vet. They did the same thing with the 3 year rabies. He was due for the booster but they couldn't make the appointment until 3 days past his exact 3 year. When I got there they said they couldn't continue the 3 year booster because of that 3 days. Ridiculous. Finally, when I told them I was taking my dogs to another vet they didn't care at all. I pine for the day that vets cared about your pets.

Every visit felt like an…read moreupsell, which became especially troubling when they convinced me to enroll in a monthly care plan for my 12-year-old Bull Mastiff. Given his age, I trusted their guidance and felt pressured into services that were presented as necessary. Sadly, my dog passed away within a month of starting that plan. What made an already heartbreaking situation worse was that I continued to be charged monthly for a year after his death. I called and was told that they were sorry for my loss, but the "insurance" would continue to be charged for the next 11 months. Veterinary care should be compassionate and transparent--especially with senior pets. Instead, I felt like a revenue stream rather than a client with a beloved family member. I would strongly caution other pet owners, particularly those with elderly animals, to ask very direct questions and carefully review any ongoing plans before agreeing to them. Our new fur baby is going to a nice country, non-corporate veterinary hospital that does not try to constantly upsell.

The facility isn't clean, our pup continues to have the same issues with no relief and it's slow. I'd rather drive an hour away to find somewhere better than go back here to continue to get ripped off and not even have anything to show for it.

If you have a large dog like a German shepherd for example, do not take them here. Our family German shepherd was a patient here. Our beloved Zeus was misdiagnosed several times over and ended up with a severe infection in the spinal column. A purebred and strong animal at the start, this dog was reduced to a paralyzed shell of his former self. And he was not the first to suffer this fate, another German shepherd in Dr. Sprott's care went the same way (you can find this testimonial under the google reviews for Newnan Animal hospital). Zeus had more years left to live and thanks to this doctor's incompetence he was robbed of it! Zeus deserved better (and I wish my parents would've changed vets back when this all started, but they are good, decent and trusting people who put their faith in the wrong vet). Smaller animals seem to have better luck with this vet and his practice. Personally, I would never take any of my animals here. UPDATE: on 5/3/23, my mother called Newnan Animal Hospital for the test results of her surviving dog's blood work. She informed the receptionist of Zeus's untimely passing...the receptionist had not one word of empathy to give. No condolences. Nothing. The vet didn't even bother to call to send his condolences either. Disgusting behavior!!!! Cold. A veterinary practice should be empathetic, just by the very nature and importance of their job. Empathy doesn't exist here. GO ELSEWHERE with your pet.
