This was my second visit,first visit waiting 20 min,Vet was not really outgoing.Went today,got their 10 min early,completed paperwork.One pet went back in room,our appt was 11:00,put in our room 11:00,sat for 30 min,while listening to vet in other room just shooting the breeze.The Tech could have come in and done weight,test for heart worms,nothing.Got up to leave,told receptionist we have been waiting for 30 min,so I said we will leave.Instead of receptionist getting up to ask vet how long it would be,she says you want to reschedule ??That's like asking do I want a root canal.Why schedule another appt,when staff,and Vet have no courtesy of other clients time.And the office was not busy,no other dogs,except the one that seem to being getting a lot of conversation from vet.Sorry but it is apparent this office is not concerned for the time a client and pet has to wait.But I bet if you were late,you would have gotten charge,no show a charge,so what about our time,customer service is low on their priority. read more

Not an honest Vet. Here's a few examples why... - Charged extra for multiple pets. - Clipped my dog's nails too short and charged me to stop the bleeding. - Insisted 1 of my 3 dogs was having a reaction to fleas and doubled down even after I stressed my dogs are indoors, there are no fleas, and I know what fleas look like... another Vet determined it was food allergies which turned out to be the truth. - Don't count on booking an appointment within a few days no matter what your situation might be, but you can count on no one or very few people being there when you do arrive. Even though this Vet is the closest to me, I gladly drive out of the way to avoid Jackson Veterinary Clinic! read more

Had extensive dental work done on senior dog. Staff were awesome, very knowledgeable and caring. The cost was unbelievably reasonable compared to other vets I have used for dental work on another dog. I can't recommend them highly enough. They were truly awesome. read more

These foks are wonderful. I drive all the way from McDonough. I was quoted 45000.00 by Woodland vet in Locust Grove for a surgery to save my dogs life and told all types of horrible after care things... Jackson Vet did everything for me and I mean everything, surgery, meds, food for her puppies while she was in surgery.. got her in and out in hours and back to her puppies.. and charged me only 1,000 dollars .. My dog recovered imediately and they followed up with me on the regular. I highly recomend this clinic for all your pet baby needs. read more

Three of my dogs got bit by a snake....scary right...need I say more, lol, but I will. On Thursday late evening 5/12, three of my dogs came inside and we immediately noticed extreme swelling in their faces. They were only outside a short period of time, so I was able to narrow down a time frame and immediately gave them Benadryl. At NO point were they in ANY distress respiratory or otherwise. We stayed up all night monitoring them until we could get them to their vet in the morning. Here is where the story gets crazy. Two of my three dogs are patients at MainStreet Vet and one WAS a patient at JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC (Jackson, Ga.). Long story but for now we will leave it at that. Anyway, I live about an hour away from MainStreet vet so myself and my daughter began the drive at 7 am with the two MainStreet vet patients to be there right at opening time, 8am. My husband was planning to take our third dog to her vet, JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC, so we thought!! My husband called JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC and spoke to Heather. Heather advised him he could not bring THEIR patient there as there was only one vet that day and he needed to take her to the emergency vet as they don't have anti-venom and he will be in surgery as soon as he comes in. (By the way, this was at 7:45 am when he called, and the ER vet closes at 8 am., the closest ER vet to us is about an hour away.) My husband called and let me know about this. I advised him I would try to get her in at MainStreet but she isn't a patient there and this is a walk in situation, however, if they could take her, we would just go ahead and transfer ALL of our dogs from there to MainStreet as JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC clearly is not concerned with the welfare of animals MUCH LESS patients!!! Back to our travel to MainStreet Vet. As soon as the door was being unlocked, I was at the door speaking to Liz. I advised her of the snake bites and the issue with our other dog being a patient at JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC and they were REFUSING to see her. Liz WITHOUT hesitation, said...BRING THEM IN NOW and we will see them ASAP! We have doctors that will/can definitely see them! Liz advised the only thing she needed was the vet records sent from JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC and it would be NO ISSUE at all. I immediately called JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC and transferred ALL records to MainStreet Vet as all my dogs were transferred that day to MainStreet. I spoke to Kaitlyn at JACKSON VETERINARY CLINIC, and she of course tried to change my mind and distort what my husband was told on the phone and asked if I wanted the office manager to call me. I advised her no one needed to call my phone as I will be making a compliant online publicly and privately emailing the veterinarians. This was a lot to say but the main thing is that I want people and the veterinarians that work at MainStreet Vet to know what SUPERIOR service and attention your staff gives each of the animals they come into contact with, oh yeh and their owners..lol. My three dogs who got bit by a snake were taken in immediately and treated with such compassion, care, love and attention that I am unable to even find words to express how that makes me feel as a pet parent. Specifically, Liz, Stormy, and another young front end lady (my apologies, cannot remember her name but she was Caucasian, blonde and such a great, friendly personality) all were amazing beyond words. I have never had an issue at MainStreet and trust me, my dogs are prone to being bad and accident prone...lol. The staff and vet(s) have always taken to time to take exceptional care each time I am there. It could be for routine shots or because a snake bit them...but either way it is CONSISTENT, AMAZING CARE every time. My hope is that people reading this take their animals to MainStreet Vet, Madison, Ga. as they are the epitome of quality care for your fur-family!!! And for the veterinarians of this practice, I suggest privately and publicly recognizing their staff to let them know just how awesome they are and what they do makes a difference!!!! read more

I scheduled my dog for a teeth cleaning. This was his first visit as we've only lived in the area for a few months. I was asked to have him there between 0730-0800 the day of surgery. We arrived at 0745 to locked door and had to wait for an employee to arrive to let us in. The employees were unfriendly and uncooperative with our request to call before any teeth were pulled. I called after 1pm to check on my dog and was told he'd not been seen yet, but was due for surgery very soon. At 4:30 I decided to go to the vet to see if he was ready or to wait for him. Upon arrival, I was told he has still not been seen, but he'd be ready for pickup at 5:55pm. When we picked him up, he had not recovered from the anesthesia and was extremely disoriented. He was like that most of the night. I am extremely disappointed with the care my dog received. If his surgery was going to be delayed due to any reason, the least the staff should have done was make a phone call to let us know. Sending home a dog that has not recovered from surgery is dangerous and could have had serious consequences. I would not recommend this vet and would never consider using again. read more

Told us it would cost 150 to get our cat fixed. They decided to run extra tests after we dropped her off without telling us that they were charging more for it, or that they were doing these tests. Then held our cat hostage until we paid more than the agreed upon cost. Buyer beware, these people will get you with the hidden costs they dont tell you about and try to steal your pet. Ended up costing us 291 to get her back. read more

Took my cat in for a check up. I'm very holistic with myself and my animals, and was happy they didn't insist on giving him shots, since he's a full time indoor cat. He's been healthy without shots ever since I've had him, and I've researched the questionable ingredients they put in them now. Dr. Morgan was patient and knowledgable, and didn't try to push unnecessary services on my pet. I'm glad to find an honest vet, since the last one was all about pharmaceuticals. read more

Very friendly, caring staff. The male doctor is a little abrupt but he did take care of my pets and that's enough for me.

Kind and knowledgeable support staff, I haven't dealt very much with the Doctors but I am impressed with the techs. Office is dated but clean. Happily take all of my animals to this nice hometown vet. read more
