For the little bit of work performed, their cost is very high and I personally would never go back there again - this vet is only after the money. I had put a comment in this regards in year 2020 and shortly after, I've noticed my comment had been deleted. My rating is less than one star! - they are very incompetent.

She hmm'ed and aaah'd a bit, and explained she had a good idea of what it was, but had to consult some documentation. She left the room and returned. She not only had the information, but also a quote for the procedure with added extras based on what she recommended, and information regarding the "litterature" on the subject. The price went above 1k. The consultation lasted less than 10 minutes, and we were gone. We were worried, no questions were asked, nothing was explained. We ended up getting a second opinion, and lucky us we did. The second vet took the time to look at the area, to feel it, did a prostate exam, emptied the anal glands (discovered there was a bit of infection there as well, and showed us). Spent a good 15 minutes just EXPLAINING why he wouldn't do the procedures due to the risks and the age of our dog. We left the second vet with a sense of comfort and control on the situation, with a very clear understanding that surgery was NOT the best option. The first vet was clear she wanted to do a surgery, and even if she did, there would've been other surprises along the way which would meant more money forked over. We are definitely NOT going back to the Eardley vet. It felt very impersonal and business-like, shoving us with a quote and with barely any effort given.

One star is even too much for this place. I strongly…read moresuggest t all cat owners not go to this place. We have brought in our new kitten for his first exams, vaccines and to get neutered. Each appointment was with a different doctor and never the same price as mentioned on the phone at the time we booked our appointments. We had such a bad experience at the last vaccine appointment before the surgery I didn't know if we should go back. They are not referring back to the cats file and are asking questions that is definitely in the file ( like if he as a microchip... yes you are the one who did it!) I was so concern that we wanted to talk to a manager or someone in charge. No one would take our call. We made a review on google, not a bad one, just fair, about our concerns. We then received a registered letter to ban our pet from the clinic, can't even buy the cat food there anymore. If this is how they handle a simple concern, I would want to know how they handle a real problem. My cat's health and safety is too important to me to leave it in the hands of a place that doesn't even care about the animal. DON'T GO THERE, there are plenty of good places in the city, avoid VETERINAIRE DU PLATEAU.

With the cost of doggie health care, I love that they have a plan that is inclusive of many of their services. Our dog needed her teeth cleaned, and they treated her with so much love and respect. She wasn't so traumatized, which can be common with our anxious German shepherds. I also love how they are not pushy. They give you all the options, they make recommendations, but in the end, I never feel like I have to purchase everything that is recommended. Unfortunately, it's expensive and I try to balance that what's good for them and what's in my budget. But they are so good here abou that, and I think that says a lot about them. Thank you for being an awesome Vet, Louie and Zero don't seem to mind coming there, but that maybe all the snacks you give them!

All I could feel was his pressure instead of giving me space with my beautiful girl in her final moments. Deaths are hard when they are unplanned; the care of the veterinarian becomes so important when walking into an unknown facility at the mercy of who you are going to get. My girl felt like her liver was exploding, and without tests, he suggested she had thrown a blood clot. He had no way of knowing; this information was given to me by my animal communicator after she transitioned. I did not even get a chance to say goodbye to my best friend before he rushed in to administer the syringes. It made a terrible experience even worse. I still have so much remorse for bringing her to this facility. I have heard that euthanasia is one of the most common occurrences for veterinarians; surely your bedside manner should be so much better than what it was. The fact that I am writing this review 15 months after her death means something.

The team is amazing, from the reception employees, the techs and the veterinarians... All truly amazing and caring for our furry baby! We have an Australian Shepherd and some medication is known to be an issue for the breed, they were on it before we even asked. They answered all our (many) questions, are always patient with us, and are not gauging on medication, shoots, food, etc. We feed our dog raw food and the vet explained the pros and cons of raw food, provided us with tips on ensuring our dog has a healthy and balanced diet, etc. We have sinced moved from downtown and the extra drive is worth it! Their hours and availability are incredible... Don't get me wrong, they are busy and this whole COVID distanciation is not helping, but we have had a few emergencies where they were able to see us withing fantastic timelines (within minutes in some cases), squeezing us between two patients or first thing in the morning if a vet was available. They have always been extremely gentle with our dog... A true testament to the love and care the whole team as Centretown Vet. Hospital is how excited our Aussie is when we go! She truly reacts as if this were her Disneyland and the staff her best friends! Would recommend in a heartbeat

I am ambivalent about this place. I brought my rabbit in for an exam and neuter because Maloney is…read moreinexpensive and came highly recommended by other local bunny people. The vet's textbook knowledge about rabbits was top notch and she is clearly well informed about their care, diet and medical issues. However, there are a number of things she didn't know about angora rabbits specifically, and I don't expect her to, but she came down pretty hard on me for things which she thought were wrong but are 100% normal for angora rabbits (for example, small bald patches after they shed is normal, as is a high protein diet to help them produce all that fur). When I explained that it was common for angoras, instead of saying "oh, I'll look into it, I haven't worked with many angoras", she argued with me and suggested he had mites, or was going to get fat, etc. I also find her very dramatic - for example, a couple of small mats were a big deal to her, as were longish claws. I had actually clipped them a few days before but had erred on the side of caution because it was my first time. They were NOT that long - in fact, when she clipped them, she cut the quick and he bled all over the place. She did a good job on the exam and even brought out the clippers to take off a few of the mats he had on his belly. The neuter and her follow-ups were excellent and much appreciated - she called me as soon as he was done surgery to confirm everything was good. She suggested other treatments or tests I might like to have but didn't really push or upsell them. I probably wouldn't go back because I came away, each time, feeling like I was a bad pet owner and that my rabbit was at death's door. And since neither of those things is true I don't want to feel that way. However, I would recommend them to others who keep "common" breed rabbits, and to those who are a little more insensitive to scary "oh, I don't like the looks of this small fur mat!" type of comments. So in closing although I probably wouldn't go back it's not a quality of care issue, it's a bedside manner issue. And it's certainly not a price issue because the prices were very fair. I paid about $300 total for the initial exam, the neuter, and the pain meds post-neuter.
