I mentioned that I was going to have my two guys spend a few hours to clean the ditch out because of the wood from him clearing and get the loose pieces of wood pulled away from the bottom of the trees so it wouldn't kill them. He said that he could have his crew do the work so I agreed. One of his guys started to clean the ditch and halfway through decided that he couldn't do it with the 50-year-old backhoe, so he just left with it half finished and he also dug an area that wasn't supposed to be dug. The appearance of the property is exactly the same after his crew finished. The original work to clear the entire property was around $2300. He sent me an additional invoice for $6500 for the work his crew did after. Then he said that he forgot about the backhoe work and now it's $8500. This agreement was verbal. I trusted him so I didn't get a written estimate, email or text with the cost. Now he has hired an attorney and I will now also have to pay for a attorney to fight these crazy charges that he says I owe. I would never put $10,000 into a piece of property valued at $2500.

Sorry guys I have to do this: I hired JB back in the beginning of February. It's now the beginning…read moreof May, I was upset that I was not told that if they leave these huge mounds of wood shavings from the root grinding it would take years to decompose. They also should have only left what was necessary for the hole to be filled in and a bit for settling, not huge mounds that make the yard look like skiing humps. I called and was given promises week after week that they'd come and pick it up. I ended up handling it all myself, but when I did, I uncovered hidden under the shavings stumps are above ground level sticking out. Additionally, the diesel fuel that they spelt and were aware of and said that they'd come back and fix it along with the oil spill in my driveway from their truck. They never came back to eradicate the damages, so I was left to do my best to do it myself. In the meantime, I now have on a tarp under my carport dirt that was dug up and now remains a 4' round 4 foot deep hole in my front yard at the front door. I don't know if I even got all the contaminated soil out. They've been kindly notified of this, but it goes on deaf ears. So I tried to put a claim through their insurance company because they carry insurance and they themselves blocked it from going through because they didn't want to pay their deductible! So why the heck do you even have insurance? It's really quite a shame because they were very personable, fun, decent guys, so I thought. I'm really very disappointed in them.
