I am very impressed of everything that has been upgraded by the new owners. The residents are given a choice of menu items at lunchtime and the hallways have been refurbished for a fresh, modern, inviting look. Most of the building is still being renovated by updating most of the fixtures, vacated rooms, and common areas. I am elated when visiting Mom who seems to be very comfortable and satisfied of the employees who care for her daily. Her health and safety are my main concerns by the people I must rely on and trust to care for her who I have made an effort to know each one of them. They have improved satisfactorily in the last 3 1/2 years at this location compared to the many years Mom had been a resident at an old Sunridge location that was closed down three years ago. Their rate for assisted living has increased due to the economy but is well worth it considering everything that has improved for the betterment of everyone - employees and residents.

They won't tell you about last year, when their water sprinklers ran for 24 hours, and when called, they claimed they don't have a maintenance crew, after not answering the phone for hours. Basically left the caregivers to figure out what to do. When one caregiver didn't bother showing up, one of the managers came and stayed with my aunt but did nothing to help her. Guess they didn't want to lose out on billing 6 hours @$25 per hour. Where does one find caregivers who are trained in how to help a patient, who actually want to help a patient, and who are consistent without the agency sending different people because of turnover? One so called caregiver actually yelled at my aunt because my aunt didn't have bottled water at her house. Good thing I wasn't there as I would have booted her out the door! Wish family could be there 24/7 but all of us work. Caring senior service deserves a zero rating.
