The rock arrived at my home (for my front yard) exactly as described. Their prices were very competitive, and they seemed reasonably flexible on scheduling. Some reviewers have complained about dirt in the rock, and to be fair, there was a little dirt (more like rock dust that was the color of the rock. They warn you about up front and, IIRC, you sign a waiver saying you understand that. But it was truly minimal - only a couple of small splashes in a 10 ton pile. It wasn't dishonest or a ripoff... I wish I'd taken pictures for perspective, but it was only a tiny annoyance for a moment. After the fact, it was a big zero burger that made complaining reviewers seem unreasonable and uber-picky. read more

If it wasn't for him I would be giving 1 star for the customer service girls, untimely delivery that cost my son a days pay waiting around for 9 hours to help shovel it into my yard which was unfortunate, and the gravel I ordered was unscreened and filled with dirt. read more

Please be wary of this place when buying material. I spoke to them on the phone & got a price for gravel, came in to purchase that gravel, & somehow the cost had gone up $23 a ton. No receipt provided to me & the person up front Jessica is incompetent. She asked to verify if the card was mine when it was HANDED to her? So she just takes payments without properly looking at what shes being handed? She also called me after the order not once, but THREE times to verify my address after it was given to her in person . Clearly not paying attention & said she would send a receipt & it never happened. Called the next day to speak to management who is Matt, super uncaring, lacking professionalism, & never gave a call back like he said he would. Finally hit a resolution after AZ rock depot argued with me on the phone for a while. Save yourself a headache & go elsewhere. 0/10 recommend. My advice to rock depot if your workers don't know the cost of products dont give customers a quote over the phone. Absolutely Terrible Quality Control and Customer Service I ordered gravel from AZ Rock Depot, and some of what I received seemed more like a pile of dirt with a few rocks sprinkled in. I understand that some fines are to be expected, but the amount of dust and sand was excessive, making it impossible to spread properly--especially over landscape fabric. When I reached out to express my concern, their response was essentially, "Too bad, that's just how it is." Instead of taking responsibility for the quality of the product they sell, they blamed their supplier and offered no real solution. It's clear that AZ Rock Depot has no interest in quality control or customer satisfaction--just taking your money and shifting the blame when something goes wrong. If you want actual gravel and not a pile of dust, save yourself the hassle and buy from a company that stands behind its products. Az Rock depot staff is very kind professional and generous. I came in to dump some cement and left my gate open on my dump trailer and bent the door after dumping, they offered to fix it at no cost which would have cost me $300-$600 at another place. My husband and I were there this morning and what a horrible service we got from the first person we met (blonde hair girl). No smiles, no welcoming gestures. No eye contact while asking about rock supplies. She didn't even show any willingness to help. Be aware, this rock company doesn't warn you that they don't pre wash the rocks. Therefore,the delivery includes sand /gravel in your order which looks terrible when you put it in your yard. We had to rake the rocks to get the sand/gravel to go beneath the actual rocks. It's alot of extra work. read more

Since we have been at home more, we decided it was time to spruce up the place. We worked with a private contractor to put rock in our backyard and felt it was financially irresponsible to do the same with regards to our front yard. When it came time this summer to update and rejuvenate the rock out front, we contacted Arizona Rock Depot. They are very reasonably priced and will deliver on your schedule, which is awesome. We paid less than $300.00 for a dump truck full. The minimum order is 5 tons, 10 if you want them to spread it as well. Delivery is based on your zip code and how far you are from their site. It cost us $85. With any home, sweat equity has to count for something, so we decided we could spread it ourselves and save some money in the long run. AZ Rock Depot delivered 5 tons of Desert Rose rock in our driveway and we went to work spreading it through the front yard. It took us several days to get through the pile, but we are incredibly happy with the results. The rock matched almost perfectly with what we had before and we had enough to fill in some bare spots in the back. Both my husband and I had aches and pains for weeks, but it was totally worth every bucket and wheelbarrow full. We highly recommend using Arizona Rock Depot if you have the option to physically spread the rock yourself. You will not be disappointed. read more

Called and spoke to a gentleman on the phone, he was super knowledgeable and very helpful. I have used AZ Rock Depot in the past for my business. However when I came down to the yard a few weeks ago I was greeted by an extremely obnoxious blonde child in the office. Not sure if she is even old enough to work there, bring your kid to work day? I had a headache after talking to her, I think I lost some brain cells too, she's extremely rude and I don't think she knows anything about the material they sell, the other gal in the office, definitely old enough to work there was.. interesting.... Slow maybe? She messed my first order up in the past so steered the opposite direction from that one. Anyways, I think the gentleman I spoke to was Matt but if you're going to talk to anyone I would talk to the gentleman in the office. There once was a gal with black hair that worked there, not sure what happened but she was pretty awesome to work with the first time. She definitely knew the ins and outs up and down of that yard. Called and got bounced around between the 2 different offices with a lot of attitude from Matt. I had a most excellent experience with AZ Rock Depot! I visited the rock yard, where samples were provided to me so that I could get a good match to the existing rock in my yard. Conrad was knowledgeable and very helpful. We looked at photos of my yard, and he quoted me prices for various quantities. My delivery was scheduled, but then had to be cancelled and rescheduled at the last minute due to a family emergency. Conrad helped me immensely and quickly through that! I was concerned about logistics of the delivery as I live in an RV Park & Resort, where a tandem truck could pose problems, but Conrad made sure the smallest truck came, so it could maneuver properly for the dump. The driver executed the dump perfectly in exactly the small spot I requested! I purchased only 1 ton of rock, but I was treated as a respected and valued customer the entire time. There were numerous phone calls during this, and never was Conrad impatient. He answered the phone every time and helped me every time, until the project was successfully completed. Prices were as stated, receipts were sent over email immediately, all paperwork was in order. The quality of what I received was exactly the same as the sample I had seen. Communication is key in any business except for landscape services I guess. The prices of filtered dirt and pea gravel were reasonable and the delivery fee was also reasonable. I was given a 7:00-12:00 delivery window. It was emphasized more than once. It was also emphasized when I placed the order that there was only one driver on Saturday, the day the front office gave me, I was able to clear that time and stayed home, available for whenever the delivery would come. I was also under the impression they closed at noon on Saturday. So, at 12:15 I called to leave a message that the delivery hadn't come and spoke with a front desk person who actually kept repeating the same information I heard the day before. If you are given a window, that is the boundary and not after unless otherwise agreed upon. She didn't like my tone, hung up on me, called back and got the same customer service from Matt. Truly a terrible experience trying to nail down a delivery and most likely will try another company that takes pride in their customer service. read more

My husband ordered gravel after visiting the store and when it was delivered, it didn't look anything like what we ordered. We had to have it all picked back up. The person we spoke to was very nice and told us it would costs around $600 for pick up and that we would receive a full refund of the almost $1300 paid......however, once it was picked up, we were told about a "restocking fee" of almost $310. So we ended up paying almost $1000 to have to gravel picked back up. read more

I was super impressed with AZ ROCK Depot. They are super nice people. I ordered the wrong rock size and when I reached out, the manager Matt was super understanding about my situation and tried to assist me anyway he could. Once I had my rocks laid down, it looked really nice but he still offered to send a guy name Dillon over to haul away the bigger rocks. When Dillon stopped by, he was super friendly and offered to help. Dillon went above and beyond to make feel comfortable and helped us move some of the bigger rocks to the side of my house. They are the worst. Office never called to alert that a delivery was due. Had no idea what day they were coming. Dump location clearly marked with 4 orange construction cones as noted on their web instructions. Driver called before 7 am while I was at gym. Called 15 min later no answer. Texted to confirm he was duping between cones. He said sorry already dumped. Texted asking if he'd dumped at the marked location. No response. Called the office, gave me the spiel about hey will try and contact and use best dicretion if they do not get in touch. I lost it after sending video of the clearly marked area in relationship to the pile the driver dumped in the street. Clearly, no one with any common sense would use their discretion to dump in the street, which is illegal without a permit in my town by the way. However, the office said his actions were reasonable because he'd gotten yelled at for dumping in a marked area that was intended for a different color rock. Yes.... I swore! Especially when he gave some stock spiel about how great they were and how customer service oriented and how they are not out to screw anyone. Well, they were poor communicators, did not follow even their own written delivery instructions on the website and then failed to take ownership of the problem.
