The late frost nipped many of the plants but the Azalea Path is always worth the trip!!! My favorite stop is the waterfall on the far lake. The fairy garden is fun too. You can't beat the price! Only $5 per person. I wish they had a restaurant or a gift shop. read more

This is the private home of Beverly and Steve Knight. They have been working on their garden for over 40+ years and are allowing garden tours in bloom season. A showplace of over 5000 azaleas, blooming trees and unusual plants, Azalea Path is a scenic relaxing place to view nature. A country drive will lead you to a garden tucked away between Petersburg and Pike county. After many requests for weddings, the owners have allowed areas to be rented out for events. Absolutely beautiful garden, if you are ever driving down I-69 near Evansville it is worth the detour. Enjoyed the peaceful scenery and flowers. Surprisingly large and lovingly tended. What a hidden gem! read more

Love this place!!! I went here back in May with my bestfriend and my 1 and a half year old! We were greeted at the gates with a wonderful lady and she told us where to go for the fairy garden! There were lot of people and kids! My daughter had a blast! It was absolutely gorgeous and all the flowers were in full bloom! She lovesd the little beach area your could play in! Even due to Covid and all the restrictions with the freshly new virus at that time it was a great getaway! I plan on going again this spring with my now 2 year old! This place is very kid friendly but keeping ahold of your kids and keeping them corraled is a must! read more

This place looks beautiful, but the management and owner's behavior and actions towards my family were appalling. My nieces and nephew (ages 3-8 years old) were yelled at by the owner shortly after arrival for unknowingly and accidentally running through a flower bed that had no viable signs of foliage or blossoms, no indication sign, it was not marked off, and there were no visible paths to follow. These children were being supervised appropriately (adults were unaware the area was a flower bed either due to the reasons above). These children are always well mannered, respectful, and behaved. Regardless of their mistake they should have never been approached in this manner or talked to the way they were by the owner. Once their mother stepped in, they were told by the owner "that he needs to put up signs for parents to leash their children"! To further the terrible experience, they had at the facility they were then harassed, belittled, insulted, and argued with on the poor review they had given them on FB. The owner's daughter manages the FB page and was rude, argumentative, and defended her parents' actions with no apology or accountability for what had happened. Another family member then began to comment and agreed with how the situation was handled and even suggested to find backpacks with leashes for the children. This angered me and my family members further and we continued to write bad reviews to their page due to the situation that occurred at Azalea as well as the comments, accusations, insults, and harassment that was done on the FB post. I made a review pointing out how awful this situation was handled and how their actions and words were inexcusable only to be met with more arguing. She admitted that the area was not marked off and no path was visible but insisted that these new guests should know not to be there because it's the "rules". She also stated that an apology was given when there never was. My review was then reported/deleted, and I was blocked for my constructive criticism (I want to side note that all comments I made in the post were civil and factual. I kept addressing the way the situation is/was being handled and how they continue to make it worse with their behavior online causing more backlash for themselves and their business). In summary this entire bad experience could have been avoided with professionalism, understanding, and respect shown to their visiting customers. After the fact the situation could have been handled with acknowledgment of their accountability and wrongful actions along with an apology. None of which happened. I will respond, since my Facebook posts are made public. This is the owners home and back yard. They opened it up to the public, after many requests for tours. The owners are in their 70s and work very hard all year long to make this place beautiful. It is not a playground. It is literally their blood sweat and tears. They have invited the public to enjoy a peaceful specimen garden and a leisurely stroll along the paths. It is well known that if you visit, children MUST be supervised closely and at arms length. It is not "kid friendly", although children are welcome if they are not running through the gardens, pulling flowers, climbing waterfalls, playing in the lake, etc. This is a safety issue for the kids, as well as trying to preserve the hard work the Knights put into their home.
