The folks at this store are absolutely rude and have the WORST customer service. I ordered a dress from this store online. It took them 12 days to ship my order, on day 11 I emailed the store to cancel the order, I got a one sentence response that the the order had been shipped (no apology or any explanation for the delay. The package arrived on a friday, the fairly expensive dress was bunched up and shoved in a ups express box with no care whatsoever. On monday, when I contacted the store to a start a return and get a refund I was informed that it was a final sale item and that I was not entitled to a refund. The item did not indicate that it was a final sale anywhere online. Since then every single response has been curt and with a crappy attitude. They should get customer service training. Of the stores in this stretch of Magazine, I'd say this place is on the medium pricey side. But the quality of the clothes reflects that. The selection is good and reflects a range of styles rather than just one type of look. When I was there last weekend, they were having an excellent sale with many of their winter shoes clearanced at $50 per pair. And with racks of clothing divided by price. I tried on a handful of dresses that ranged in price from $250 to $75. And score! My favorite was a half priced item. The sales people were OK. but clearly it would pay to be a regular here. The accessories did look interesting but I was trying to keep the spending to a minimum so I didn't browse. Definitely worth a perusal when you're looking for something new. read more

Came to this store to meet a friend but ended up browsing and making some awesome purchases as well! The problem I have with shopping is that I usually am so overwhelmed by the trends and low on time that I just shop online and call it a day. But this store's selection takes out all of that effort. I wish we had more stores like this in New York. The selection ranges from well-known higher end to end middle end eclectic pieces. My favorites were the beaded clutches and dainty jewelry. Oh! And the two dogs were definitely a bonus. I also had them ship my clothing home for me which was such a great service since I was traveling light. Definitely going to try and return next time I'm in NOLA. read more

I'm in here probably twice a month. I really like the employees, and they know me and my taste. For the brands they sell, it is reasonably priced. That is, if you want Tibbi, Milly, Trina Turk, Ali Ro, etc., you're going to pay the same here as you would at any department store or other small boutique. I think they have a great selection of clothes, both casual and cocktail. They have some jewelry, but it's not the reason I come here. Same with shoes--there's a good selection, but I think I've only bought one pair. They have great sales every few months, so that's a good time to go and get some of the pricier items you've been eyeing but don't want to spend that much on. read more

I've never been in a shop with more pretentious shop girls in my life. I'm a well dressed person, I have disposable income. Was in town from San Francisco with girl friends, shopping and dropping some money. We felt treated like a second class citizens. My friend tried on a dress and asked if they had other sizes, they were dismissive and just rude. So I dug in and said that I'd seen it at Bloomingdale's back home, the girl grabbed it and said "well then you should just go buy it there". Thanks, I will. I prefer to shop local but would rather not have the dress than give these bitches my money. I'll shop down the street at Joseph and Angelique where they carry MUCH better products and don't treat people like trash. Shop anywhere but here. read more

Zero stars. I walked into this shop and was greeted by the 2 cute Cavaliers that were there that day. I have a King Charles myself and was thrilled to see them. I asked the redheaded woman at the counter if they were friendly and if I could pet them. Without even looking up to speak to me she in a snarky tone said "well sometimes, it depends on the day". Let me just also say that when I walked in the 2 women that were working there couldn't even be bothered to look up, or smile or even say hello. I walked through out the whole store and they walked past me like I was invisible. When I shop I don't need a lot of hand holding but give me a break. Can't you just look up and maybe give a customer a smile at the very least? These two broads are the snootiest most pretentious people I have come across in a long time. I could have very easily afforded to shop there but wouldn't give them a penny with the way acted. Who in the h**l do they think they are??? Nasty and miserable. read more

I'm torn about this place for many reasons. First off, they have a horrendous return policy. I loathe "store-credit-only" places and they don't tell you about this god-awful policy until you get home and realize that the shirt you bought is hein-bomb and way too-expensive and ugh i want to return it but NOOOOOOOOO...store credit only!!! ZING. However, they do have some really cute clothes and some brands that I haven't seen in big time department stores. Not that New Orleans is full of big time department stores or anything. They seem to not carry a lot of sizes in stock so what you see is kinda what you get, but I typically like what I see. I also like shopping here versus the mall because I feel like I'm really "pumping money back into the NOLA economy." At least that's what I tell myself when I get the visa bill. read more

I have never been treated so poorly in my life as a consumer. My daughter and I (she is 3) were doing some Christmas shopping for my wife and we wanted an "expert" boutique opinion on purchasing some women's shoes. I guess because I am a dude in a woman's shop it's okay to be ignored? Three, yes THREE, different sales associates completely ignored me, even when I asked for help. Finally, one agreed to acknowledge me and I have never received such poor service. Their idea of help was waving a hand at the shoes, and then going back to folding clothes. And, the prices weren't good either, I've been doing my research. read more

Great store! Went to New Orleans for the Super Bowl and stumbled onto Azby's. Have incredible selection of clothes and shoes. Their selection of purses and jewelry are the best I have seen. Staff was very helpful and nice as can be. You must visit this store when you are in New Orleans. read more

I bought some great stuff from Azby's but found, on my return home to another city, that one piece was damaged and the flaw was going to grow (a sweater had a run in it). When I tried to exchange it, I was told that there was not another. The sales person I spoke to on the phone told me that they'd repair it for me, if I would send it back, so I did. A week later, someone from the store (no name of course) mailed it back to me, still damaged and unrepaired, with a copy of the sales receipt highlighting the statement that there is no return policy on sales items. I was unaware that this was a sales item. But, sale or no sale, had I known it had a run in the knitting, I would never have bought the item (of course). Nor was I trying to return it; I was asked to send it back to get it fixed. Seems sneaky for them to sell something so damaged without pointing out the flaw. Seems sneaky again to say they will repair it and then not do so despite my having gone to the further expense of returning the sweater to them (at their request). I read other reviews that are not so high on this store. My experience supports these reviews. My word on this store: sneaky. read more

I will never return to this store. The clothes are way too overpriced to not take exchanges. Let me explain: On Dec. 23, 2010, my boyfriend bought a sweater for me for a Christmas present. There was a salesperson assisting him. The one he liked only had a medium size left in stock and he thought it looked too big for me. The salesperson assured him that they were getting more in after Christmas and that it could easily be exchanged for a smaller size. After being talked into the sale of this $200+ sweater, he left feeling confident that it could be exchanged. The sweater was indeed too large. I went to Azby's on January 15, 2011 to exchange it for a smaller size. The salesperson informed me that that was the last one and it's something they don't carry any longer, thus they would not take an exchange or return. So they flat out lied about getting more of the same merchandise in to get a $200 sale! There was also a dispute about the date of the attempted exchange. They also claimed that there were to be no exchanges or refunds of Christmas presents after Jan. 9, 2011, which is a date that they are closed anyway. They claimed that information was on the gift receipt. When I looked in the original gift box, the gift receipt was buried under a ton of tissue. I never looked at the gift receipt because I had the original sales and credit card receipts. I had no way of knowing and they did not tell my boyfriend at the time of the sale. I consider this to be dishonest business practices. The sales people are not nice and are very snooty. read more
