On Magazine Street in New Orleans I came across a tiny boutique where everything is Mardi Gras themed. Mardi Gras is in March, but the preparations have already started. At Trendz everything purple, green and gold is shimmery, sparkly and glittering! You can stand out from the crowd with can't be missed headgear, earrings, rings and beaded things. Cute store with lots of seasonal items for a much better price than some more popular stores. Easy to find on Magazine, we parked a few blocks down. The store itself is pretty small and jam packed, so it was a lot a maneuvering around displays and customers. It does not look like they stock many sizes in each clothing item, likely due to the size of the store. It sounds like there were more sizes in the back based on one customer's question, but it was busy and just slowed things down when the employee had to go check, so I didn't bother asking about the one I was looking at. I absolutely recommend Trenz to get affordable accessories. It was really busy when we went, so I will give the three girls behind the counter grace at their friendliness, as I know "people-ing" gets exhausting. I would go back and hopefully catch it in the off season. I love my earrings and headband purchased that day, though! read more

Great place to go for fashionable and affordable jewelry and accessories. They always have up to date and trendy (hence the name) pieces. The sales people are nice and helpful. I always go here for gifts. you can find something for all your girls here, it's truly a one stop gift shop. Even though they are known for jewelry, they sell much more such as: shoes, candles, purses, sunglasses, clothes, and any accessories you can think of. Trendz is also great for your seasonal looks. I get my Christmas and Mardi Gras accessories from here. To be such a small store they have a very large variety of styles. Great location on Magazine. plenty of places to eat and shop around this location. Be prepared to pay for parking since it is on Magazine Street. read more

My daughter and her friend wanted to go to Lakeside Mall. It was such a nice day I asked them to take a walk on Magazine Street first. A friend had recommended Trendz and she was right. My daughter loved it. She spent about $25 and left with a bunch of stylish accessories & a huge smile on her face. We've been looking for a purse she likes but had no luck previously. Cute costume jewelry & accessories store on a great block of Magazine! Prices are great earrings & necklaces starting around $5, just know that it's never going to be an heirloom piece and will prob last a handful of wears. But if you're looking for a few dollars of happiness that won't increase your waistline, pop in here! They also have on trend handbags, vests, and great seasonal items (currently Mardi Gras wigs & hairpieces/headbands) at really reasonable prices. For example, I saw a white long sleeved sweatshirt with muted Mardi Gras colored stripes across the chest for $28, while I had paid $36 at Fleurty Girl, several blocks down. The 20 or so pairs of shoes they sell are cheap and prob not worth your time, but there are sunglasses, flash tats, candles, and lots of other accessories to keep you shopping without breaking the bank. Looove Trendz. Whenever I lose my glasses (which happens much more than I'd like to admit) I always head here because their sunglasses are only $7-10 and they have a great selection! The boutique is centrally located to a bunch of other things too, so it's always nice to swing by and browse around at the other stores when I'm in the area. Great for gift shopping too! read more

The boutique has been open for 10 years. I had been eating at the place on the corner all this time and it just hit me to walk over. I entered and to my surprise I have a new guilty fall pleasure. TrendZ has the most fun faux glitzzy accessories ( kind of amazing). Great place for holiday shopping. Hats & handbags are also sold there but the jewelry has my soft spot. This. Place. Is. My. JAM! Trendz has the cutest, *most affordable* jewelry and accessories around! It's my fav spot for dainty earrings and necklaces. There are lots of statement pieces as well. And everything in between. On top of ALL the jewelry they have an impressive selection of shoes, pretty purses, hats, a small selection of seasonal tops/sweaters/wraps/jackets, winter accessories, scarves, candles, slippers, and sunglasses. Prices for ALL that stuff are generally in the 6-20 dollar range. I've hardly ever seen anything more than $30. I'm not deducting any stars bc you get what you pay for so here is the catch- some of their stuff is going to change colors. Look, when you get an $8 necklace, you probably won't be able to wear it more than 5 or 6 times. I'm ok with that. Go to michaels and grab some cheap gold plated fish hooks to switch out with their earrings. You'll get lots more wear out of them! They always have cute seasonal stuff for dress-up too! Think Mardi Gras wigs, St. Patty's headbands, and your perfect July Fourth red, white & blue accessories. read more

I adore this boutique! They always have such a great selection of trending jewelry, shoes, and accessories on hand. You can find any accessory to complete your look without spending a fortune in other boutiques here. I always look here before venturing out to other boutiques for last minute jewelry. I deducted a star due to their quickness on Instagram. It seems whenever they post new pictures on their instagram account, whoever is in charge of answering intrigued clients, does not do that well of a job. Specifically, I have commented on a pair of Rose Gold Mules for well over a month and finally I gave up. I would suggest passing the account along to someone who will actually answer guests comments and respond within 24 hours. read more

Hands-down the best, most affordable accessory shop around! The items they sell are high-quality but inexpensive, and they always have new items that are trending. A tip I picked up- they have backpacks and shoes similar to the style of the ones Michael Kors sell for much much cheaper! Totally recommend this place. Well worth the visit! read more

This place is such a hidden gem that I almost don't want to review it really. So everyone, let's keep this on the down low. This jewelry store ALWAYS has at least 3 things that I can't leave without buying. Why is it so hard to NOT buy something here? Because the prices are so ridiculously low and not only is the jewelry typically adorably fashionable, but also very sharp witted and tasteful. Something for any occasion from loud and frilly spring time scarves and rings to sleek business dinner necklaces and watches. It would be a crime against myself if I didn't buy everything I wanted here. I think there's 2 women who work in the store, and both have great taste in shop music. Don't be surprised if you suddenly wake up out of your shopping stupor to realize you're moving to the music beats. A+ store! Please stay in business! The owner is friendly and usually her mom is working in the store as well. They have necklaces, earrings, bracelets, shoes, bags....need I go on? If looking for that statement necklace necessary to complete your emsemble, surely Trendz will have it! They are priced just right, at the low end, but nothing looks cheap. While waiting for my boyfriend to complete his eye exam, I wandered in this cute little shop. And I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised with such great quality items at such low prices. No....I'm serious, the prices were low! Stylish tennis for like $17. I bought two very cute Louisiana/Nola necklaces. I paid $16 for both. Such a cute shop for gifts. Complained about the girl (not the daughter of owner nor owner) because she went off on my mom for accidentally hitting a display with purse in passing. Visited the store 2 days later and gave her my card to have owner call me. Spoke with owner, very nice. She apologized. Employee called me and threatened me saying "they don't believe you" "I am going to filing a restraining order" said crazy things!!!! Was appalled! Immediately took a snap shot of my caller ID so I could show owner! This girl is unstable and crazy!!!!! read more

I'm in town visiting my friend from new orleans and I stopped into Trendz, as per her recommendation, to buy a nice souvenir necklace to mark my visit. My friend and I entered the store while her boyfriend waited outside with their puppy pitbull. While inside the store, two customers were trying to leave and appeared to be afraid of our dog. Instead of commuting to us or going and asking for him to move the dog, Jessica, the store employee, began to make passive aggressive gestures trying to get him to move, as well as make rude remarks ("the nerve of some people") about my friend's boyfriend. My friend responded saying that he was her boyfriend and dog waiting outside and that she would go wait with them, to prevent any additional discomfort for the employee or customers. As I went to the counter to purchase my item, Jessica proceeded to continue making rude comments about my friend, specifically "I'm sorry your friend got offended, I'm just being honest." I was utterly shocked and didn't respond, to which she replied, multiple times, "are you seriously not going to respond?" I left the store in complete shock and frustration as to what occurred. I believe the entire situation could have been diffused if she asked him to move away from the entrance or talk to us personally about the matter. We both were planning on purchasing more items but the entire situation made us so uncomfortable that our shopping excursion was cut short. I'm writing this in hope that the issue is addressed with the employee and no future customers experience the service that I did. read more

I love love this affordable accessory store I can always go there and find at least 1 to 2 items that I just must take home....yes the lady behind the register is also busy preparing new thing and items for us to buy.... I'm also busy scouting out some new item to sport out on Friday or Saturday night.... My only concern is the parking is seriously bad this is a prime spot on Magazine Street although who carries cash to pay for meter not only that it's so difficult to even find a spot to even go get cash to pay for meter read more
