Love this little boutique. Really cute selection of clothes!! The location itself is even adorable! There is a bit of all styles available, and all sizes. The Sales Person there was BEYOND sweet! And oh SO helpful!! It was literally a joy walking around the store! How many places can you go shopping and feel happier just by being there and talking with a total stranger!? It was a bright spot in a long, difficult day of looking for a dress. I didn't find the dress, but I left with the cutest shirt ever. And it was on sale!! Win - Win!! I absolutely LOVED this smaller, to the point boutique! The clothes range from a few key trendier items to classics....and everything is always under $100! Each piece is limited to very few so you know not everyone will be running around in the same outfit you have! I fell for quite a few pieces including some summery maxis, peasant tops and long cardis with interesting hemlines. I wound up purchasing a classic navy and white stripped off the shoulder pantsuits ($69), the EXACT style I have been on the hunt for unsuccessfully until hitting up Armoire, and an adorable marble clutch with brush gold clasp ($38) large enough to hold my massive phone which I had yet to find anywhere after YEARS of looking!! I was also able to use 10% off with my Yelp check in! Thrilled!! A friend I was shopping with snagged a gorgeous beaded evening gown to wear to our friend's wedding for just $65 right off the sale rack! Unreal! No doubt will I be hitting up Armoire when I'm in town again! Soooo worth the journey down to Magazine Street. Take the street car!! Sales staff was incredibly helpful and kind! Store was well stocked and well merchandised by style too. Their buyer/owner should be commended for the collection they have going on here! When I need a quick gift, I find myself heading to this shop pretty often. They really do have great accessories at an excellent price point. Even my Mom has purchased gift items here, so that means they meet her price needs AND quality demands. Unlike many shops on Magazine, they carry a variety of sizes up to 18 in some styles. So that's a great change pace too. My 20-something executive trainee niece LOVED the necklace I picked up here for her birthday. Look, a girl's just gotta have a birthday dress and I never settle for anything less than perfect. Not on my birthday. So I searched and searched for a perfectly birthday dress for my perfectly birthday brunch. French Quarter. Uptown. Nothing seemed to be the right price or the right fit. Eventually, I went home drunk and defeated. And as usual, I turned to the internet for comfort. Guess what I saw at the top of my Facebook Feed? A beautiful blue one-shouldered birthday dress in Armoire's "New Arrivals" section, $45. Cha-Ching. I went in the very next morning and tried it on. Winner. Since my birthday, I've gotten 4 or 5 more dresses here and they've held up wonderfully. The red dress from the Yelpie Awards? Armoire. My black 1940's cigarette girl dress? Armoire. The 1920's dress I'm wearing to the Speakeasy party? Armoire! And their customer service is superb. When I heard about the speakeasy party I sent them a FB message to see if they might have anything to fit the bill. They sent me a message back (within the hour!) with pictures of a few dresses they had in my size! Their selection and quality has improved since they first opened, which gives them a well-earned update to 5 stars! read more

Woo hoo! Another great Magazine St. find! I loved this store as soon as I walked in. First of all, I knew I was in a good place because when I walked in and looked to my right, I saw a "$30" rack and a "$40" rack. Now you know me, I am a fashionista on a budget. You don't have to spend a lot to look good. They have so many cute things here for great prices. The owner told me that she likes to keep most things between $20 and $60 dollars. You can't beat that and that makes this the perfect place to pick up a cute dress for a party or just hanging around town. What's best about this place is that if you "like" them on facebook you can stay up to date with everything they have in the store because the owner posts pictures of clothes as they come in. It's a cute store in a stretch of Magazine that could use a few more cutie-pie stores. What's so great about it? It doesn't break the bank to buy clothing here. She carries sizes from 0 - 20, but it's pretty damn paltry after size 10. What's the saving grace? The owner could surmise by my sad expression and my closed wallet that i wasn't going home with anything. Yay for boutiques that aren't an arm and a leg for a pair of leggings! I usually walk into boutiques feeling self-conscious and trying to remain stoic as I scan the $450 price tag of something I could probably only wear once. This place had many things that I instantly loved and could wear anywhere. I ended up with a work/fun dress for $30! As I strolled down the rest of Magazine Street, I found no better shop. I talked to the presumed owner for a bit over shoes, style, and back talk shows. She said she really tries to keep all pieces under $60. Needless to say, I am a fan. read more

The store has cute things however the staff makes sure you know that these clothes are for juniors an the young. They recoil from the 50+ group. A few of the tops do cover enough skin that a person of that age could wear. No older woman wants a reminder of age, so may sure you bring your daughter for cover. read more

Stopped into this shop while walking down Magazine this weekend. I needed some new gear to wear to the Garth Brooks concert this Saturday! Woo! And the thunder rolls! Well... I'm not talking acid washed pleated jeans and a sleeveless 38 Special T-shirt kinda gear, but hey, maybe they had that stuff! I hear its making a comeback. My hair was looking mighty tall with my teased bangs and bright teal headband! Oh and the humidity of New Orleans definitely works wonders if you're looking for that Michael Bolton a la 1983 look. Anyway... Found a super cute black flowery summer dress that just killed it with my cowboy boots! The girl working there was soooo helpful. Not gonna lie, although I have quite the superb fashion sense, (just found a pair of Jordache jeans at Goodwill, eeek!) I needed some help finding something to fit my body type. They had so many options for me! I usually leave a boutique feeling busted and hopeless, but I walked out of Armoire with 3 pieces that made me feel like I could just jump on that stage with ol' Garth and start belting some tunes! What a nice shop! I saw a pair of boots in the window that I would have liked in a different color, so I walked in to inquire. David completely understood what I was looking for, and offered to call if they become available in one of the colors I was interested in. He took a detailed description of the boot I liked, and the colors in their customer requests book and I feel confident that he makes a point of staying in contact with customers who have special requests. Right now I am on a serious hunt for boots, so I wasn't really shopping the rest of the store, but I did pick up a cute necklace, and I will definitely hit Armoire next time I'm shopping for clothes. read more

Awesome clothes that are great for day to night! I love this store! I was introduced to it about a year ago by my makeup artist and have not stopped going back. The styles are fashionable, but reasonable (a HUGE plus for the Magazine Street area) and I have never gone there and not found what I was looking for. The staff is amazingly helpful for a girl shopping on her lunch break alone, and the clothes are well-made - nothing is falling apart there. I also love that there's a little something for everyone. I'm in my late 20's and am generally not too keen on things that I can't wear multiple ways or that don't work for my lifestyle. I find great styles here that I can wear to my business meetings and then later to meet friends at a bar. read more

That being said, they have something for most every girl. The owner and employees are always so helpful and stylish. They are great at dressing women of all sizes and know their product well. They have a great selection of fun, stylish & sexy clothing for curvy women. Thats so rare! It's great to be able to walk in and leave with several items that fit comfortably, look so cute and make me feel special without spending a ton of money. I get the most compliments on the pieces I have from Armoire. Everything is affordable, but gives you that special splurge feeling to wear. Y'all. I'm just so impressed with this boutique. I love fashion but have the hardest time finding things that are flattering on me. I'm plus sized and have a difficult time finding pieces made for my body type. Armoire offers sizes up to a 20! And unlike most plus size clothing, you won't look like an old lady in these clothes. They are trendy with high quality fabrics for A STEAL! Most items seem to be around $40-$60! Take my money, y'all! Apparently they also get new items every week and have an awesome IG presence. Not normally one to leave a bad yelp review but I was Very unsatisfied with the customer service at this store. Came in and bought a dress and then went back in the store five minutes later realizing I wanted a different dress. I asked to exchange it and there was a $7 difference. The girl would not refund the $7 even though I had bought the dress 5 minutes before that. I have worked in retail and a small boutique just like that with the same return policy and always returned customers the money if they just bought an item. I even told the girl that I don't live there and would have no use to the $7 store credit and she still wouldn't refund my money. I was never informed of this return policy when buying the dress in the first place. After searching around for something to buy I ended up picking out a piece of jewelry. A sign outside said all jewelry 10% off. When the girl rang me up she didn't even give me the 10% discount...I had to remind her. Such poor customer service and would never advise anyone to shop there. read more
