But today I give up and I'm looking for another internist. I'm having surgery tomorrow at 7am and had my pre-op blood work and EKG done with Dr. Florescu 8 days ago. I was assured that results would be back by that Weds. and would be FAX'd to my surgeon no later than Friday as I had pre-op app't with my surgeon the following Monday. Surgeon never rec'd reports at close of day Friday even though the surgeon's nurse and I had both been calling Dr. Florescu's office since Thursday to have the results sent over. It's an hour before my app't with the surgeon and still no FAX with results from Dr. Florescu. Nurse and I calling frantically. No results FAX'd. I'm now at the surgeon's office and still waiting. I'm then told that my surgery may have to be postponed. I'm having the surgery done 2 hours away from home and it took a lot of planning to get time off work and to arrange help at home after the surgery. What is the problem? How hard is it to FAX?! Having surgery is stressful enough. It's crazy to be stressed out over something as simple as having your test results FAX'd to another doctor. I'm through with this. It's much too frustrating. Too bad, because Dr. Florescu, himself, is very good. My advise: until Dr. Florescu realizes his support staff is so poor - he will continue to lose pts. My husband is also moving to another Internist.

(They are all deceased now.) He is the most kindest, understanding human I have ever met. His bedside manner is absolutely wonderful. He was great with my parents and grandmother. They all loved him. He is extremely intelligent, and keeps up with anything new in medicine. He really listens to what you have to say, and takes the time to talk to you, explain things, he will ask questions so he thoroughly knows and understands all about you and how to help you with what is ailing you. Dr. Pinkowski is and has been my hero for a long time now. He literally saved my child's life. I will forever be greatfull to him for that. I was pregnant with my youngest son, and I didn't know it but I was severely sick, dehydrated, I could not keep anything down without vomiting (including water) for 5 days straight. I was fading fast, and I was having severe muscle cramping all over my body and I started having contractions, I didn't know it but I was on the verge of miscarrying my baby. At the time, I did not realize how serious the situation was, I thought it was just normal morning sickness. When I got so weak I could barely walk or even stand on my own I decided to call my OB/GYN doctor. They told me that I was just having normal morning sickness and to eat crackers. The crackers did not help and I got so weak I actually thought I was going to die. So I decided to call my family doctors office, Dr. Pinkowski to see what he thought and if all this was normal or if I was really having a problem. The kind, concerned receptionist listened to what I had to say, then immediately went to go get the doctor to talk to me on the phone. He asked me to come in to see him asap. So I did, he examined me and said I needed to be admitted to the hospital immediately. So I and my hubby headed for the hospital. By the time I got there, Dr. Pinkowski was already there waiting for me. I was admitted and given a room. They hooked me up to IV's and within 20 minutes I started to feel better. All the while Dr. Pinkowski stayed with me to be sure I was going be ok. He came back to see me everyday I was in the hospital. During his visits he taught me how to keep myself hydrated, that if I can't keep water or fluids down, to eat jello, and to always have something to drink next to me, 24/7, and to take sips of the drink as often as I could, but only small sips. That tip helped keep the fluids down, and eased my morning sickness. He also put me on a special diet that was easy on the digestion so I could eat and keep the food down. He was wonderful. He went out of his way to create a special eating diagram for me and made up this special diet so I could eat and drink and stay healthy. My contractions stopped and I felt great on the new eating plan. I carried my baby to full term and had a healthy beautiful baby boy, all thanks to Dr. Pinkowski. There are not enough thank yous in this world I could say that would express my gratitude to that amazing man!! If he had not done what he did, I would have miscarried and my baby would have died. I would not have my son today. I tell my son all the time about how Dr. Pinkowski saved his life. My boy is 27 years old now, and he has personally thanked Dr. Pinkowski for taking such good care of his mother and for saving his life.!! I am wiping my tears away right now, I get very emotional everytime I think about what happened. Dr. Pinkowski is a true angel, and I truely believe he was sent by God to be a blessing to others. On my son's birthday every year, I pray to God and thank Him for Dr. Pinkowski and I ask God to pour out His abundant blessings upon him and his loved ones. So, in my opinion, absolutely no doubt Dr. Pinkowski "IS" the best doctor you could hope to find in this entire world.

His staff is always pleasant and gets you an appointment that is pretty quick when needed. Wait time in the waiting room may take a while most of the time, this seems to happen with many doctors. I do know that Dr. Vinny sees some of his patients in the hospital in the mornings or afternoons, as I have been seen several times during hospitalizations, a comfort and a concerned doctor. Many times I have seen Dr. Vinny on the same day, if not the next as the latest, if needed. His assistant nurse (C) is very thorough and friendly. I plan on keeping him for my primary for many years to come.

I had previously promised him that I would show him my DNA blood test report from a hospital in China. So, I brought my DNA blood report to a nurse practitioner at this clinic. If I remember correctly, her name was Allison. When I arrived at the clinic, the nurse who checked my blood pressure and heart rate was very unfriendly. My hepatitis B virus test has been positive since childhood, but it is completely non-contagious. The only restriction is that I cannot donate blood. My twin daughters were born without the hepatitis B virus. However, this so-called medical professional actually told me that she needed to report my condition to the local infectious disease agency. I was speechless. How could a so-called medical professional lack such basic medical knowledge? Even now, passing by this clinic still makes me feel very uncomfortable. She made me rethink what it means to be a so-called medical professional in the United States. I encountered this just after returning from my parents' funeral in China in 2019. This in itself was adding insult to injury.
