Unfortunately, my experience with the office management has been extremely disappointing. The office manager, Julie, has been consistently unprofessional and rude. I have personally witnessed and experienced her raising her voice at patients over the phone, abruptly hanging up, and responding in a hostile way to basic billing questions. At one point, it felt like patients were being discouraged--or even threatened with discharge--simply for asking for clarification. What's most concerning is the lack of accountability. When trying to escalate concerns, I was told there is no one above her to speak with, which makes resolving issues nearly impossible. It's unfortunate because the medical care itself is good, but the front office experience significantly impacts the overall level of care. Due to these ongoing issues, we are in the process of filing a complaint with the medical board. I would strongly recommend considering other options until these management concerns are addressed.

So I went to Dr. Ditz (real name BTW) roughly 8-9 months ago to get a script for a medication I periodically need as well to address a rash on my face that I thought could be something serious. He seemed nice enough, but looked at my rash for 5 seconds and said that it was basically a cosmetic blemish and then tries to upsell his facial laser service. He prescribed an antibiotic "just it case" it was something serious, but was rather dismissive of the whole affair. I unfortunately took him at face value. I went to a couple more sessions at Ditz's with a full rash breakout and they kept on telling me it was de facto just spider veins, gave me a masking cream, said just give it time. Welp, found out months later that it turned out to be a fairly concerning allergic reaction to something that was promptly addressed by a competent dermatologist, and it cleared up in a few days. So forgive me if I can't decide if it's incompetence or negligence that I was dealing with here. Also, regarding my medication, it was one that I was told I had to take a monthly drug test for in Florida (that turned out to be not true). I got my paper script (unnecessary as well) for that, but then turns out, months later, I get a call from a mediator with my insurance company and he informs he that Ditz's office was trying to charge me over $1200 for the standard urine test I took....I know people gotta make a profit, but that markup is bats**t. The mediator actually advised I file a complaint attorney general if the insurance didnt cover the cost, which thankfully it did. I should mention the customer service as well: the worst I have ever experienced, anywhere, ever. No basic instructions on anything from the PAs, and when I asked a simple question, the front desk lady barked at me to wait my turn...and their waiting room was literally empty... I imagine because all their former patients didn't want to deal with that BS. Completely unwarranted and unprofessional. On the subsequent visits, the PA's exhibited really passive aggressive behavior, like holding the blood pressure cuff on purposefully too long (yeah, I noticed...) and speaking to me like I'm an imbecile. Trust me, I'm not the one who looked stupid :-D Oh yeah, and the Google review I left previously? Well, they decided to send me a cute letter stating, in their signature passive aggressive fashion, that they would no longer serve me because of it. Several other reviewers mentioned this happening to them as well. I found an old school doctor close-by that treats his patients with a basic level of respect, which is all I asked for in the first place. Overall, pretty surreal in how awful the entire experience at this place was. In my personal opinion, there's something really suspicious going on if a business openly lets its staff act like that towards patients...it's like they're not really selling health and wellness. Oh well, karma will catch up to them one of these days...

She has treated me for many ailments, and I have NEVER been dissatisfied with the service in her office. There have been a few rare occasions where I needed an immediate answer after-hours, and Dr. Arcand had given me her personal cell phone number to call, which was very rare in my experiences. The only reason that I can imagine that the person who left such a negative review is that perhaps the receptionist may have been out of sorts, not a good fit for the office. I've been going to Dr. Arcand since 2010, and never encountered such treatment from anyone.

From the moment I arrived, the male receptionist was rude and unwelcoming. I was then taken to the back where it was very crowded, and I was told I would be moved to a yellow room. As soon as I sat down, I overheard nurses openly complaining--talking negatively about other rooms "pushing patients off on them" and saying they weren't even busy. What made it worse is that they continued speaking in a way that made it clear they were talking about me, as if I wasn't sitting right there. I can't imagine how devastating this kind of treatment would feel to someone who is there battling cancer. No patient should ever be made to feel like an inconvenience while receiving medical care. This experience was shameful, unprofessional, and completely lacking compassion.

I currently had a broken foot and he convinced me to continue. Well, I thought he cared. Almost a year to the day after I first saw him he prescribed a generic narcotic patch that I had told him from day one that I was allergic to the glue. He insisted I HAD TO TRY IT AGAIN to DOCUMENT it. I had documented it multiple times. He knew best. I went to Ga to visit my family. Had been there two days when I walked by the mirror and my lips and eyelids were swollen to the point that they subsequently burst. I looked up the symptoms to find I was going into anaphylactic shock by way of angio edema. After being administered IV steroids as a life saving measure Dr Aurand , nor his office would respond to my pleas for help or direction, neither would he return the call to the emergency clinic. I forgave him and went back. A big mistake. I have since gone though withdrawal on my own because he cares so little as to not even tell me some natural things I could do to lesson my suffering. Simple things like antihistamines, anti diarrheal meds, etc I have never dr shopped. And my pharmacy record would stand in any court. I need to mention that a colonoscopy gone wrong had left me at barely 100 lbs and still vomiting violently. Under these conditions he ignored my suffering. Kept me dependent until it no longer suited him. It was all or nothing with him. It almost cost my life because I also have asthma and didn't know withdrawal causes this to be ten times more dangerous. He and his staff did though and offered me nothing , but grief for taking their time. There is a sign in his office that reads: the staff will handle your calls as a courtesy??? I thought that was their job. And heaven help you if you are female and don't look like Quasimodo. That secretary there will go as far as to tell you there are no appointments for the next month when you are standing there with check out orders to be back in a month and only have a months worth of meds. I went so far as to have my husband call her and there were many available appointments. Men, you might do okay there but I would not send anyone I cared about to this office. You may see the kindly dr I did. But when one's life is at its lowest you can count on this office to IGNORE you as long as they get your money. Thank you for allowing me to post.
