My sweet Texas mother in law is 91years old. She can remember things from years or even decades…read moreago. But yesterday and a half hour ago are lost to her. The cold snap in Texas last winter froze the pipes in her house and made it unlivable for the time. The search was on for a safe and capable place for her to stay. My wife and her sister spent many hours researching many places that could provide care for folks with memory problems. Parameters included safety, cleanliness, diet, quality of staff and location. After many hours, the family decided on Silver Creek Place. The director is a woman after our own hearts. She is strong, capable and prepared in life and in her business. The staff is an eclectic group of dedicated and loving people. The facility is a bit dated. But it is tidy and spotless. All the food is prepared on site in the facility kitchen. My MIL loves the food and has a great appetite there. They keep the patients there busy with therapies and they are kept very clean. We were able to visit with no prior notice. This is a good sign that those who work there are proud of the care they give and have nothing to hide. When me, my wife and her sister went to visit, it was a big deal. I hugged a lot of little ladies. Felt safe as everyone there has been vaccinated and temperatures are taken on admittance. Bottom line, looking for a safe place for a loved one who is in the twilight of her life, is a serious endeavor. There are bad places out there. We feel we found a great place for our sweet "Mooty". She is safe, comfortable, well fed and reasonably happy there. She still wants to go home and she asks about her little dog all the time. But we are glad she is here.

Tina F, Jack, Brittany, Mai, Aria are all amazing and caring! Med techs also rock! Christopher, Mariah, Jose, Tiffany, Joanne, and, of course, coordinators Adrienne, Tanisha, and Natalie! The front desk- Teawanna who spent over an hour trying to help get our mother's television up and going for her move in day-and Alfred and Anthony who repair and help with things that need to get done. There are no words to express the love shown by every single person who works at Bristol. After moving our mom from another facility where she had been for over 17 years, we have the experience necessary to tell anyone that Bristol is a God given and welcome respite for our mom. You know when the facility is a great place when volunteers continue to come even after their loved ones have transitioned to Heaven. No question about it - Bristol is where God chose for our mom! Thank you, Lord! Bristol is a blessing for our family!!

Thanks to the entire staff, I haven't learned all their names yet, for your smiling faces and selfless attitudes. My dad even likes the chef, and the food. Great job Bristol Park at Eagle Mountain!

Please don't send your loved one to this horrible place. Everyone we encountered from receptionist…read moreto the nurses were rude. Not enough staff. Each time we were there to visit patients were pushing their buttons and the light and buzzer would go off for a long time but no one would come until up to 45 minutes later. The patient next to my aunt was calling for help and she couldn't even reach her button. I pushed it for her but no one ever came. After 30 minutes I went to the nurse station the 3 girls who were there were busy on their phones. When I told them the lady's buzzer had been going off they rolled their eyes and acted like I was really inconveniencing them. The place is old, dirty and they gave my aunt a filthy cup to drink from. We saw roaches while there. Please consider carefully before sending your loved one here.

There is a substantial lack of communication between the staff to the family members / patients. On many occasions we contacted the administrator of admissions and she frequently placed blame on others as opposed to accepting responsibility. In addition, our calls went unreturned until we confronted them. Male staff that administered medications was often irritated and would place his hands near my father's face. My father was taken to the hospital without any communication to his family members. When we asked why the facility advised they contacted the first person listed. This person was someone from over 6+ years ago who we are no longer in contact with. This was an old number on his chart and it was not updated from the hospital discharge paperwork. However, they violated HIPPA by providing this information to the contact. We had to repeatedly ask for tubes to be drained to avoid infection. When we did so there was visible frustration from the staff. They admitted to multiple mistakes and advised they could complete a complaint form. I feel horrible for anyone who takes their family members here. You will have to be on them non-stop and even if you are they will continue to make mistakes. Visit the facility, it alone confirms negative reviews.
