My mother-in-law, age 93, needed a toilet replaced due to a crack in the old one. Aztec came out and showed her the crack on the tank, but it wasn't leaking. The toilet would continue to run after being flushed until she jiggled the handle. She had her Visa card for payment until the Aztec plumber quoted a price of $1100 to replace the toilet. Clearly, they were attempting to take advantage of an elderly customer. She was smart enough to deny the service. We purchased a replacement toilet from Home Depot for $250 and found a reputable person to install it for $200! BUYER BEWARE...We will never call Aztec again or recommend their service to anyone! read more

Their price is so high that I didn't want their service. I was quoted $500 to replace my kitchen faucet with a new Delta faucet that I was supplying. The price came down to $450 because I had purchased the promotional plan a couple of weeks earlier. My feeling is that they are primarily sales agents masquerading as tradesmen. Insurance required a new valve under my kitchen sink and they did replace it a couple of weeks earlier. Unfortunately a new drip from the faucet sprayer line appeared. So I had them back out and got the new quote for the faucet replacement. The house is 25 years old so I'm sure it was just coincidental. On the plus side they are friendly and courteous and are quick to schedule, and they show up in the window of time. My gut tells me that they treat every visit as if it is after normal hours and price like it is an emergency call. They would not provide me with an hourly rate in the quote. I'll try to replace the faucet sprayer line myself. I think the part is about $40 ;) read more

Insane prices. I inquired about a drop in kitchens sink replacement. I have the sink, faucet and all connectors. It's an hours work, TOPS. Their estimate? Between $800 and a $1,000!!!!! I think they thought I was a moron. That is a disgrace. Another owner in my condo complex was grossly overcharged to the tune of $4000. She's 90 and didn't realize she was being soaked. I wanted to change one faucet in the kitchen and two faucets in the bathroom, they wanted over $1,000.00 just for installation of the faucets which I purchased. All three faucets cost me $250.00. I can only imagine if they supplied the faucets what the proposal would have been, I would have to sell them I first born. Aztec is way way way to expensive for me. The person who came to my home was very nice, but doesn't Aztec realize people in Florida are on a fixed income. Called Aztec as an emergency call, toilet valve was literally spraying water all over my bathroom. Flooded and had to shut off water to my entire house to get it to stop. Had a tech out within 90 minutes who had a fully equipped truck with ALL needed parts (even had toilets, which I declined replacing, though I really could have used a new one.) YES, it was expensive. It was very expensive. But it was an EMERGENCY. I expect to pay premium rates for EMERGENCY plumbing services. I got several repair/replace options and chose the least expensive. I still cried a little Blake was friendly, professional, (even when I cried ) thorough and showed me every single thing he fixed and replaced, and explained why. Before and after. He got the job done quickly and without a ton of mess (it's a messy job, I expected more mess.) Would I spend almost 600$ on a scheduled toilet repair? Obviously not. But this was an EMERGENCY, and I was happy to pay that for him to save my flooring and my sanity. I'd absolutely call again with an emergency plumbing issue. read more

My elderly mom called Aztec plumbing because her bathroom sink was rusting and wanted an estimate. While he was there she asked him to look at faucet in the kitchen sink as the water pressure wasn't 100%. My mom kept saying some plumber was here he fixed the water pressure and she was worried because she never paid him. I was like probably because it was nothing and he is waiting for sink. Boy was I wrong! They ran my moms bank card in her living room for almost $1000 for a new faucet! This wasn't even a problem really! My mom had no idea this was happening! I called and confronted them and they said your mom signed! $1000 for a faucet and her sink never was repaired! An entire SS check for a new faucet when the old one needed to be soaked in vinegar!!!! Aztec snaked our plumbing and put a hole in the pipe in the kitchen. Got a pic of the hole. Sharp cut. Still shiny sharp edge not rotten. They came back out and said they are not responsible. Then they quoted me $1600 to fix it. I fixed it for $15. Crazy rip off. read more

I have used Aztec before, several times, and they did a great job BUT that came at ridiculously high prices (and during regular business hours, no emergency). I was quoted, for example, $800 to replace a washing machine valve. I know for a fact that the parts are less than $50 at the home improvement stores so that's $750 for labor? Called Aztec to replace shut off valve at the house. They were there for 45 minutes and charged $487 of which $200 was for digging a hole 8 inches deep and 16 inches long. Hourly charges are figured by the GPS of the truck he was here for 45 minutes and I got charged for 2 hours, so if they get there and sit in the truck your getting charged, if they are talking to the neighbors trying to get more work, your getting charged. If they go around the corner and take a nap, your getting charged. It's a shame a local business would take advantage of seniors and scam anyone they want. I do not recommend this company to anyone, beware. read more

They sent a guy over to give me a free estimate for my under the sink shut offs. Free estimates. Well I have 10 shut offs. 2 under the kitchen sink and 3 full baths. He gave me a price of $1360.00 dollars. That's $136.00 a shutoff. Maybe I have stupid on my forehead. But looked and I don't. If I wanted the water lines changes it would be another $300.00. I said I didn't want gold valves. I think they wanted to rip me off. Never will they get my businesses. I could change them myself for $110.00 dollars and that's top of the line valves. We had a leak and needed it fixed fast. I called Aztec and they said there is no "service charge" they will look at the job and price it out. I thought this was great. Someone was dispatched within 2 hours, great service. Jonathan came out and gave an estimate we liked and it was done in less than 2 hours. It would have been faster but our water meter was giving Jonathan trouble, not his fault but the meters fault. Jonathan was great and a nice young man. He told us how to to call to fix the meter. It was well worth what we paid. I would call Aztec again and hope I get Jonathan or someone just as great. We do need some plumbing work, maybe after the social distancing we can have an estimate and maybe hire them again. read more

shane davenport was the perfect plumbing expert. very knowledgeable and efficient. the problem is with the company itself. i called to have aztec replace four 1/4 turn shutoffs that they previously installed within the past two years. i was under the mis-understanding that they would stand behind the product that they installed. two of the shutoffs leaked so i wanted them replaced with washer type hose bibs. when i was quoted a price for the replacement it was outrageous. i will never use aztec plumbing again and i suggest that anyone who reads this critique follow my decision. beware of substandard parts and insist on replacement warranties. read more
