The ordering process was clear and simple with Apple Pay. Total bill $17+ We ordered taquitos (fried corn tortilla, supposedly 6) but these were really flautas (Fried flour tortilla, 3 cut in half.). The flavor was nice, filling a little bland, but the whole bite was good. Including a side of chips and salsa with a takeout order is exceptional. Thank you very much... Great idea. Red salsa was very nice. The cheese dip was very thin, but had a nice flavor, definitely helped with the flautas filling. I was tempted in-store to buy a soda, but they wanted $6.25 for it. Couldn't go there. The young assisting with this decision was very helpful... Thank you! They charge a $1.50 takeout service fee, but we got no napkins or cutlery. Azul serves very delicious Mexican food, including a lot of fish and seafood, classic enchiladas, burritos, burgers, a wide range of tacos, and many other dishes. The prices are decent, the service is friendly and efficient. We sometimes like to eat at the bar or take out our meals. It is not a huge restaurant but it's comfortable, friendly, and I am my family enjoy it very much. read more

This place is tucked away so it's easy to miss, but make sure you don't. They start you off with a giant basket of tortilla chips and give each person their own salsa, which I loved. My bf got the chimichangas with shredded beef and I thought they were crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The rice and beans were a little on the bland side, but if you ate it with the main entree it didn't matter. I got the burrito loco, which was HUGE! I wish I put my hand by the burrito for scale it was an interesting burrito since the bell peppers were large and not cooked down to how I'm used to. The shrimp and chicken were perfectly seasoned. However, I don't think I would get this again because I couldn't get over the large chunks of bell pepper and onions without them being cooked down, still pretty raw/crunchy. I definitely liked the chimichangas more. They also have different salsas you can ask for, the medium spicy is actually spicier than the spiciest one haha definitely try it out if you like spice. I'd definitely go again, but just try something else because the atmosphere was really nice and I know they have food I'll like! The best Mexican food IMO in the Merrimack Valley. We have been several times and have never had a bad experience. Service has always been fantastic! My favorite is the Burrito Loco. The food doesn't disappoint in fact its taste excites but my take out order came with a surprise charge that wasn't announced: To Go Service $1.50 ! Now unless there is a table service charge for eating in I find this undeclared charge a bad business practice. The table doesn't have to be cleared, the dishes aren't picked up and washed in the dishwasher, so isn't doing take out just a regular cost of doing business? Got chips and salsa. Some chips were stale and needed salt. No salt on the table. Server brought salt. I had a house marg which was strong and tasty. I always get enchilada verde and it did not disapoint. Very fresh, tangy, and well seasoned. The beans are served in this little corn tortilla cup which was interesting. This has quickly become my go-to for Mexican takeout in the area. I've not dined in, but they're always busy with a full bar and lots of seating. For starters, we always get nachos and taquitos. Their tamales, sopes and queso dip are also among the usual rotation. For dinner, I always get the torta ahogada. It's absolutely delicious, piled high with layers of flavor. Not thrilled. This places food (and beverages) are still as outstanding as the day it's doors opened. But, I must mention not only their lack of Mexican music but even worse (having kids in our group) for Azul to be playing a song (loudly) that has the words "B*tch, Sh*t, the N-bomb" playing on a Sunday night leaves me very displeased. I'm not one to have a church-type vocabulary, nor do I dine with State Senators, but to have foul language blaring around kids that are just trying to have a taco, puts this place in a bad light. Azul's ambiance is very welcoming. Well light, staff is very welcoming and approachable. I ordered the Chicken taquitos - very plentiful and great size! Enjoyed with a La Don margarita which came with a separate cup for "extra" which is my kind of vibe! For my entree I enjoyed a Chile Lime Salmon w/ Fries, and listen 20 minutes after the food arrived the whole meal was still hot and delicious. Flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Food was delicious and we appreciated the free salsa and chips which you don't always get at Mexican restaurants anymore. Sometimes I'll ask if you want salsa and chips and when you say yes there's a charge for it on your bill. Service was really good. My first margarita was the house margarita and it was odd because it had a fizzy consistency like there was soda water in it or something. It was fine to drink, but that's not what I expected for what is supposed to be your standard margarita. Portions were large, food was hot and came out very quickly. Pricing was fair. The outdoor patio and lower dining room were cute. My only suggestion to the restaurant would be about their decor. It was very modern and clean looking. When I go to a Mexican restaurant, I like to see traditional, Mexican colors and decorations on the wall. It had almost an industrial vibe. Yesterday my family and I decided to try out Azul Mexican restaurant in Haverhill. I was not impressed with the service provided to my family and I. Especially being served by the bartender which he lied to us about a dish my daughter wanted. We asked if they had birria tacos and he replied that they didn't served that in their restaurant. So we asked another staff member if they served birria tacos. And he said of course we do. My other daughter asked for a chicken quesadilla with just cheese and chicken. Nothing on it. Which she got the wrong thing. He never came around to ask how our food was when we received it. Never came around to see if we needed more drinks. Until the end gave us our check and never asked if we wanted dessert. At that point we got a bad experience. Hopefully next people don't get him as a server. read more

Just came back in for a second try... they nailed it !! Azul is the real deal from start to finish ! I was promptly greeted and ( even though it was busy ) found a spot for me. The device was prompt , the drinks were spot on , and the food .... Amazing. I had the fresh guac , and the burrito grande ..OMG. It was huge ! I felt like I was on Man VS Food !! Everything was excellent ! Tom was my server. Not only was he pleasant and friendly, he made me feel like I was 100 % of his focus. Update number three...I think tonight I developed a new appreciation for these guys. The gal at the desk told us up front they were short handed and while she could seat us it would be a while before we were served. We took the risk. Our server despite being so harried was incredible. The food was fabulous as always and arrived in a more than timely fashion. In fact...we were in and out in an hour. I've visited Azul multiple times, and each experience has been fantastic. On my first visit, we enjoyed exceptional service, with the owner personally greeting us. It was a date, and everyone was incredibly friendly. The food was amazing, with very generous portions--I didn't finish a single dish. I would give it a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it, especially for a night out with friends. On my second visit, I picked up some takeout and again received amazing service. I tried their homemade tres leches cake and flan which were absolutely delicious. Their desserts are definitely worth recommending. read more
