    Tres Leches Cake
    Alaleh P.

They're located in the Food Isle at Union Station and they serve fresh and delicious Mexican food. The staff are very friendly and patient with customers, if they need help and time to place their orders. There are some high tables available in front of their kiosk, but if you want a more private table, you need to take your food to the main Union Market. We ordered "Taquitos Dorados", "Quesabirria", "Birria Torta", "Pollo Adobaso Bowl", "Guacamole and Chips & Charred Salsa", "Esquites" and "Tres Leches Cake" for dessert. We also tried their three Salsas (different spice levels). The food was fresh and flavorful. Guacamole was made in the morning and was very tasty. I would definitely recommend their tacos and Quesabirria.

This is a Mexican street food restaurant. This is their second location, which opened on 2024-10-02. It is a food stall in the Foodie Aisle of Union Station. I ordered the Birria Taco ($6.00). You can choose an accompanying sauce: mild, medium, hot; I chose mild. The taco consists of beef which is marinated and slow cooked. The beef was tender and tasty. The mild green sauce was good. The customer service is fast. There are counters in front of them where you can sit or stand to eat. There is upbeat music playing in the background, part of the Foodie Aisle. There is free WiFi from Union Station. The foodstall is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms as part of the food court. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2024-231

    Chicken (Pollo) Thigh Milpa Bowl

This is their second location... right in the Union Station food district area. Food (3/5) - Chicken Thigh Milpa Bowl - it was ok... good mix of ingredients- toppings were fresh, guac was ok... however the chicken was on the rubbery side... and marinade lacked flavour. Service (4/5) - it was pretty quick to order and receive so works for grabbing takeout on way back to work. Atmosphere (4/5) - clean looking format and looked sanitary behind the counter. No seats like most everything in the food district. Overall (3.75/5) - I might give it another chance with a different item in future but not repeating on the chicken milpa bowl.

Their menu is pretty extensive; many options and you can actually create your own salad by checking off a checklist paper at the cash. Their dressings are all super tasty. Their menu staff are super friendly and welcoming. The service is pretty quick, but lunch hour can be a bit hectic as one expects. Super cute atmosphere and front patio seating available on Ossington for people watching as you enjoy your salad. I come here regularly because it's just so tasty, and a healthier option. Highly recommend!

For take out, I ordered the Pacific Crunch which has rice noodles, cilantro, mint, shredded carrots, purple cabbage, green onions, edamame, red peppers, mango, cashews, and coconut curry shrimp. The service was quick, as it took about 10 minutes to prepare the bowl. I enjoyed the Pacific Crunch; it was very tasty and the ingredients complimented each other well. However, I am giving Mandy's 3 stars as I was very disappointed with the portion size, especially considering the price. My bowl was only 2/3 full, when compared to the bowl purchased by my friend. For the price, I would expect the bowl to be completely full, with more than 4 shrimp.

I've actually had Brasa previously many years ago for a Yelp event but this time I decided to stop by the Queen St. location to grab dinner. Their menu boasts unique flavours where ingredients are fresh and nutritious. I decided to order a bowl from their phone app where my order was made in about 15 min. Upon arriving at Brasa, the space is accessible where the cashier/food counter area is to your right. On the left there is bar seating where you could enjoy your items there. I mentioned to staff that I was there to pick up my food where it was already made. In terms of food, I ordered the tuna ceviche bowl (Organic tricolour Peruvian quinoa, marinated tuna, avocado and sweet potato blossoms, two types of Peruvian corn, finely sliced red onion) which cost around $17. I had the bowl for dinner and it felt super healthy with the quinoa, avocado, and tuna! The ingredients tasted great together and the crunchy corn added a crunchy textural element to the bowl. Overall, a healthy alternative in the Queen/University area!

I was downtown and stumbled upon this grab-and-go spot, and it was exactly what I needed. I ordered two burrito bowls and a soup, and the total was around $50. Honestly, it was worth every single dollar. What really sold me on this place is how precise they are--they literally measure out every portion of protein, vegetables, and fats. It's awesome for anyone who's tracking their intake or just appreciates getting a perfectly balanced meal. Beyond the great food, the staff was super friendly and genuinely helpful. They had so many variations of these bowls and lots of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. The service via Uber Eats was quick and had no issues with that. When it came to the food, I was certainly underwhelming. I was not a fan of the Smoky Chipotle bowl and had thought I would love it based on the ingredients in the bowl. I found it lacked flavour and was just completely bland. The sauces had a weird aftertaste and I just did not enjoy the bowl overall. I hope the rest of their bowls are good and I just got a one off not pleasant one. I don't think I would be ordering again from this place. 5/10 recommend!
