When asking about test results and test scheduling I never communicated with the same person and often times received different answers for the same question. They don't help with expediting or scheduling preop appointments. I was left on my own having to go through the general appointment line. They consistently acted as if they rather not be bothered. To me, this is really a reflection of the physician. Most excellent physicians that I have known would not allow their patients to be treated this way. Having been diagnosed with breast cancer is a scary thing. The additional stress of having to make phone calls and emails constantly added to my stress. The staff needs to get it together. I would not recommend. A little compassion goes a long way. I have been a patient elsewhere at Hopkins and most of the time I would rate it a 4 or 5. The imaging staff at Greenspring were great. Great communicator's, kind and compassionate.

Medstar Radiology charged my husband $2549.18 for 3 MRIs and my insurance (BCBS) said we should pay…read more$633.25. The money-grubbing incompetent people at Medstar Radiology refused to listen. If we didn't pay we were refused treatment. Of course we paid. Now, basically two months later, WE had to ask for the refund!! They need their money upfront, and the hard-working people with good insurance have to wait to get our money back. Go somewhere else if possible if you want to afford your normal bills.

Today he was told that it could be 72 business hours before report is sent to doctor. That's next week. Medstar lied and he would have never gone there. He's in serious pain and cannot afford to wait until next week. Corporate will not respond to calls/complaints. Avoid all Medstars regardless of medical procedure needed, all they do is lie!

After driving an hour to get there around 9 am, I was told that a machine was down and it was going to be a longer wait than anticipated. Tiffany was so professional and kind, giving me updates on the time, and I was able to sit outside in the courtyard while waiting. For the receptionist to call me and tell me i read the order wrong to her and o was scheduled for the wrong test when in fact she copied the order while i was standing there. Then i get rescheduled and i told the office manager who she transferred me to thaf i was not happy as i had rescheduled other appointments to the afternoon. And that i would be there at the new scheduled time. Not once in the conversation with either was it mentioned that my appointment was canceled. I went in person, on a guy feeling to confirm the appointment. I then learned i dont have an appointment. So the communication between staff and patient stinks. It was never like this before. I get the appointment being cancelled. But at least be honest about it and not give aome bs reason about rescheduling. If i could give negative stars i would.

I originally called this practice because I had heard they offered a more comfortable open bore MRI experience, but when I asked the scheduler about it she told me that only closed was offered. I told her that the website mentioned it, she then responded that told me she wasn't aware of that. Hmm. Odd. Maybe I need to speak with someone else then? But for now let me just get on the books, I thought. Well, that's when the frustration continued because I found myself repeating basic information over and over and over again. I got to the point where I would intentionally add more pauses when repeating the information, the scheduler would repeat back the information to me...but then moments later would ask me to repeat the same information again. Is this how everyone at the clinic will be? Not listening the first or second time, therefore requiring me, the patient, to constantly repeat myself when it comes to an already uncomfortable experience? It didn't inspire confidence in me, that's for sure. They also talked very low, like they were shy -- I had to ask them to speak louder several times, then they would barely increase the volume. Think just a hair above whisper-soft instead of average tone. The low end of the volume dial on an old radio instead of right in the middle. Now that I'm reading the other reviews here about how their appointments went...I feel like I might have been better off just sticking with the Radiology clinic I normally go to instead of trying a different one. I'd recommend that the clinic train its support staff and coach them on professionalism, as they are often the first-line impression and can sometimes make or break an experience for the patient. Have them speak confidently and in a steady tone (not above a whisper). Teach them active listening skills, ensure that they have decent reasoning skills (the scheduler got my address confused for the doctor's address -- although the MRI order clearly noted which was which). Furthermore, have them versed on what is offered and what isn't. I had to explain to the scheduler what I meant with "wide-open bore MRI" although that's exactly how it was described on the website. Shouldn't they be familiar with that and able to talk to it when a patient asks about it? I'll more than likely go back to my old clinic, at least I know what to expect with them and they've been pretty consistent with their service over the years.

I have been coming to this location for a number of years for multiple services. The staff is…read morealways friendly and the space welcoming and they take good care of their clients. I have always had great experiences with the technicians and front office staff for my mammograms. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that sometimes finding availability in their schedule can be an issue. Sometimes, I have had to schedule weeks out and their office hours are not conducive for folks who work 9-5. However, if you have flexibility during the weekdays I highly recommend them!

I have had significant issues with charges being more than quoted over the phone, incomplete communication about authorization, deductibles, and other things. However, generally speaking, they have gotten the job done. I don't like that parking needs validation and they only validate up to 1.5 hours - and some mammograms take longer with ultrasound and additional imaging. They also can be a bit short over the phone, and fail to provide context that other radiology facilities might be more inclined to include. However, I do appreciate that this location has a broad range of services available and is prompt with answering calls and attempting to answer questions. Never my first choice as there are some amazing radiologist in the area, but a lot of them have inconvenient appointment times and can take months to schedule. I wouldn't suggest parking on the street, as the police ticket cars immediately when the meter expires. The parking garage is also an issue when going for a first mammogram as they tend to take longer. For subsequent visits, they are good about getting patients out very quickly while still doing what needs to be done. Though, you may feel rushed, I do like it better this way than worrying about having to pay for going over time in the parking garage. One thing I don't like about them is that they had been charging $20 for a CD to bring back to your provider. The other radiologists that I've been to have never charged me for a CD, so I was very disappointed as my provider was shocked that the CD costs exta and she prefers the CDs to go over the findings with patients in an extended consultation with lots of visuals - she apparently needs to CD to do this effectively, so I was not able to receive the same level of detail about my treatment plan that I previously received, due to having my imaging done at Tower Radiology. I hope that they reconsider this charge. Anyway, I think it is better to know what to expect going into it. I added an extra star for convenience.

Brought my father in to this location for a consultation with a urologist for a procedure. It's…read morelocated on the 9th floor of the professional building. The office was clean but small. Only 4 chairs in the waiting area and not much for entertainment other than a few pamphlets. We arrived and had to park in the pay garage: first 15 min free. After checking in a little early we waited for our 2:30 appointment. The doctor was running behind. So we ending up waiting more than 30 min to be seen. Not too bad but when you have to pay for parking every minute counts. The receptionist was nice and did offer us some refreshments. I declined but my father took them up on the offer and got a ginger ale soda. One we saw the doctor the experience was good. He was through and explained all of the option my father had concerning his recommended procedure from his primary doctor. Other than the extended wait time it was a pleasant experience. We will have to return for the procedure and we are confident we picked the right place. They did validate my parking, so there was no charge. I had forgotten my ticket and left it in the car but the receptionist was so nice that I didn't have to come back. I just called the office and read her off my ticket number and she was able to validate it over the phone. Grade a service.
