I have been coming to this location for a number of years for multiple services. The staff is always friendly and the space welcoming and they take good care of their clients. I have always had great experiences with the technicians and front office staff for my mammograms. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that sometimes finding availability in their schedule can be an issue. Sometimes, I have had to schedule weeks out and their office hours are not conducive for folks who work 9-5. However, if you have flexibility during the weekdays I highly recommend them! read more

This is not my favorite facility, but if I need imaging done right away, Tower is almost always accommodating. I have had significant issues with charges being more than quoted over the phone, incomplete communication about authorization, deductibles, and other things. However, generally speaking, they have gotten the job done. I don't like that parking needs validation and they only validate up to 1.5 hours - and some mammograms take longer with ultrasound and additional imaging. They also can be a bit short over the phone, and fail to provide context that other radiology facilities might be more inclined to include. However, I do appreciate that this location has a broad range of services available and is prompt with answering calls and attempting to answer questions. Never my first choice as there are some amazing radiologist in the area, but a lot of them have inconvenient appointment times and can take months to schedule. I wouldn't suggest parking on the street, as the police ticket cars immediately when the meter expires. The parking garage is also an issue when going for a first mammogram as they tend to take longer. For subsequent visits, they are good about getting patients out very quickly while still doing what needs to be done. Though, you may feel rushed, I do like it better this way than worrying about having to pay for going over time in the parking garage. One thing I don't like about them is that they had been charging $20 for a CD to bring back to your provider. The other radiologists that I've been to have never charged me for a CD, so I was very disappointed as my provider was shocked that the CD costs exta and she prefers the CDs to go over the findings with patients in an extended consultation with lots of visuals - she apparently needs to CD to do this effectively, so I was not able to receive the same level of detail about my treatment plan that I previously received, due to having my imaging done at Tower Radiology. I hope that they reconsider this charge. Anyway, I think it is better to know what to expect going into it. I added an extra star for convenience. read more

Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. 0 stars. Full stop. Everyone here is very nice but 110% incompetent. My original MRI appointment was supposed to be 4/22. They called my office # on file AFTER business hours on 4/21 to let me know they had to cancel due to "technical difficulties". I had taken the day off for the appointment (because no more telework). They didn't call my cell phone the day of the appointment until I was pulling in to the garage. Rescheduled for 5/16. Confirmed that they would send "everything" to my surgeons office. Didn't think I had to specify "MRI images." To them, "everything" meant radiology report. I did not receive the report until 5/27. *Here's where my surgeon's office probably dropped the ball too, but damn between two sets of professionals who do this for a living, I'm at a loss: they did not contact TR to request images until 5/22. It is now 6/9 and my surgeon's office has still not received the CD w the images. As you can probably guess, my outcome is not great. I have now had to reschedule my follow up w the surgeon THREE times. It seems the only way that I can get my results from this sh*thole facility is to sit in rush hour DMV traffic for 2 hrs (because, you know, I have a job) and hand pickup. read more

They do not return your calls. I called daily for a week. I gave them all of my insurance information and the woman at the front desk raised her voice at me and gave me a bunch of excuses as to why they haven't returned my call after two weeks of waiting. The woman at the front desk said they'd have an answer by EOD. I didn't appreciate being yelled at and then, being abruptly hung up on. This behavior is unprofessional and cold. When I asked a simple question about the intake process, one woman passed the phone to her colleague without warning. The first exchange was professional. It was the second front desk rep was the one who dropped the ball and blamed me for their inability to follow through with their word. read more

Needing a CT scan recently I found myself here. It was convenient to do so since the office I needed this for was just upstairs. I came to set up my appointment and it was kind of easy. I filled out a form, gave them my information and insurance and just needed to wait for them to call. When they called, they were really easy to deal with. They set up my appointment with my schedule in mind. Only downside here, is that you can only do CT scans on certain days. When I showed up for my appointment, I had minimum wait. I was taken back and honestly it took me longer to walk here than the whole test did. The tech that did my scan was polite and funny. She talked me through this whole ordeal and I was ready to head back out to deal with my day. Probably one of my easiest appointments I have ever been to. read more

I needed to have a radiological exam and chose this convenient location accessible by bus. The technician, Stephanie, was excellent. She walked me through what to expect and spoke to me professionally and kindly. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone needing similar services. The service of the front desk staff while also professional was somewhat inconsistent. The woman I spoke with on the phone was knowledgeable and helpful but another at the front desk seemed a bit confused as though it were her first day on the job. read more

Beautiful facility it's on the first floor of the new building. You're going to want to arrive early and park in Fleet garage. After your appointment they do validate parking. I got a 3-D Mammo. The equipment is new and labeled with all the certifications. The suite and room I was in, is clean and beautiful. Really they took their time to decorate for women in the mammo room. Be prepared for the 3d. They "set" you for the standard. Just hold your breath the entire time. After they "release" you from the standard setup, they rotate the machine to about 45 degrees and "set" you again. Not going to lie, the second "set" hurts more than the standard. Tower Radiiology at the National Harbor location is a modern facility with excellent front end staff who are courteous and professional. I've hand dexa scan & Mammograms done here and all of my experiences were met by a great technical staff. Stephanie (Radiology Tech) was the very best at her job. She was thoughtful, professional and considerate to making the process as comfortable as possible for me. Most times you don't get the opportunity to talk with the Radiologist but this was not the case here. The Radiologist took the time to personally discuss my results with me. I choose this location for my MRI since it's near to where I live. The office was very clean. Along with playing soothing music, the 2 front receptionists were very friendly & did all they could to calm my nerves, seeing as this was my first time ever having an MRI. I kept talking to them because I was nervous as hell about the procedure. Once I was called into the back, the radiologist took her time in explaining what was to be expected during the procedure, gave me music of my choice & a stress ball in case I freaked the hell out after being encased in that tube for over 20 minutes. If I have to have another MRI, I would gladly come to this office again! read more

I handed the front desk the doctors form for exactly what I needed - an ultrasound with doppler. I gave them my insurance card. After a while the front desk told me the total for my procedure would be $135. This barely beat the cost of 2 competitors so I agreed. I paid that day. After the procedure they charged me an additional $335 under my insurance. Then they tried to blame it on my insurance company, saying that they called in and the insurance company said I only had $135 left to meet my deductible. WRONG! I had over $4,000 left. My insurance company says that Tower Radiology was never told an amount like that. Towers billing department tried to say that the "doppler" part of the exam created an additional $275 and I told them that they priced the original order INCLUDING doppler. On top of all that, my doctor said the exam was inconclusive because the tech did not have a proper angle on the area being examined. read more

Pros: this place (National Harbor office) has friendly office staff and new equipment for 3D Mammograms. I went for a mammogram and the technologist was very friendly and the process was not too uncomfortable. The office is easy to find and it validates parking. My rating is a 4 rather than a 5 because there are some improvements that can be made in the callback process. First, I think a call would be the fastest way to let someone know that they need additional images. Mail takes a long time right now and by the time I got the letter, I couldn't get an appointment for another month. Additionally, Tower requires orders from a physician. The check the box form letter that the National Harbor office sends out for a mammogram callback contains only the fax number for the White Plains Office, not the National Harbor office. I gave my doctor the correct fax number for the Nat'l Harbor office, but the order didn't arrive, although I called Tower several times to check on it. At one point, I spoke to a woman at Tower who told me she would call my doctor and ask him to email it. But when I arrived for my appointment, I was asked for my order. The woman in the office (Joanie, I think) was friendly and called my doctor's office at that point. Apparently, my doctor had faxed it to the White Plains office -- which may have been because one of Tower's form letters only contains the White Plains fax number. I'm not sure where else it could have come from. This office should either update its form letter, or skip this whole fax thing altogether --- it's 2021! I also think the detailed report on the mammogram should go out to women as a matter of course. I had to request it and since the office won't email it, again I waited almost two weeks for it to arrive in the mail. read more

She was super nice and walked me through the process, including what to expect with my pcp later. The place is easy to get to - the parking is across the street in the Fleet garage.
