The maps show roads that bring you closer, but I couldn't find them. Kind of annoying and definitely frustrating. Would love to meet up with the planner for this death course and express my appreciation for his zealous love of nature.

We always opt for the light rail parking lot so our route is longer. The first thing I noticed about this one is that they do not have a designated small and large dog side like our regular park. Just one big open space. Fortunately all of the big dogs were well behaved and welcomed my sweet 14 lb Frenchie with open paws. The ground is mostly dirt and small patches of grass here and there. A lot of large rocks make great seating areas. On a sunny day, I didn't notice a lot of available shade. We brought our own water and bowl so I also don't know if any are provided. Overall this is a decent, fairly large dog park. Your dog just needs to feel up for walking a little before getting all it's zoomies and energy out off-leash. The keypad to get inside isn't as nice as the card scanner at our other park; I had to really be certain I was pressing the buttons down hard enough to accept the code.

There isn't a bathroom exactly near the field, and I asked a lady who was working in the booth at the dog park yesterday evening if he could use the portable potty (I understand and am aware it wasn't a public restroom) and she said "no because you and those people on that football team are always causing problems". That situation was very frustrating and unhelpful, especially when an 8 year old child has an urgent bathroom need. I am also aware park booth attendants must follow site rules, but refusing a child in an emergency due to unrelated group issues lacks basic common sense and empathy.

I mean that I would pretend to be a dog and play with the dogs themselves. If anyone were to catch a stick it would probably be me, because a little kid saw me at the park and got very frightened and threw a stick at me. It left a huge bump on my head and the other dogs decided to gang up on me and beat me up. In conclusion, I give this park 4/5 because I had a fun time but there are way too many sticks and the dogs that beat me up stole my wallet.

Most patrons are friendly and respectful of dog park etiquette. I have never encountered a reckless owner or aggressive dog. There are benches and chairs and lots of trees that provide shade from the sun. There is a concrete pad with dog bowls and kiddie pools. The hose and small pool let's dogs cool off on hot days as well as shaded, grassy areas. I've seen nothing but respectful owners who are diligent about cleaning up their dogs waste and supervising their fur babies. On hot or dry days it can be a little dusty and if the hose and pool is full it can get a little muddy, so maybe bring a brush or towel if you don't want your seats dirty but I highly recommend it! Also it's usually best to wear shoes or pants that aren't your favorite as some dogs jump up to say hi with wet and dirty paws lol They even have a rack for you to hang your leash and things which is nice to be able to be hands free. It's a bit of a drive for us but with how exhausted he is when we go home it's so worth it!
