This company is a monumental waste of time. Got the quote and scheduled the appt in advance. I confirmed the appt the day of planned service and waited. An hour passed by post the appt time. No warning was give. After several try of calling the office, someone finally picked up the phone and said they'd get back to me within 15 min on the status of the tech. An hour passed by and i got a call saying that the tech is working on a job that wasn't planned but they took the job on the spot anyways. They said they'd be late by 4 hrs, which I agreed to. Now it's the end of the day and i tried calling their office several times. No one is picking up. What a waste of time. They don't care about your schedule and their commitment. read more

When I needed someone to come out and help replace bathroom exhaust fans. Brother & Brothers were the first place to call me back, had better rates and worked with me to make sure I was taken care of. Juggling a two week old baby and trying to find a fan that would work was stressing me out, they took charge, helped me find the right fans and showed up ready to work. Let's just say this was a difficult install, from technical issues with the fan (all on part of the manufacture) and a small attic that was incredibly warm, Rhamond (my installer) wasn't going to leave until the job was done, and done right. Throughly impressed with the job put in tonight and I know I'll call Brother & Brothers again for any of my needs and would be happy to with with Rhamond on any home project in the future. I am currently selling my home and had no clue you needed a permit for any electrical work being performed on your electrical home panel. When i asked for an itemized quote, they said the packaged items were in the list. There were multiple communication touchpoints leading up to the appointment including reminder texts and ETA texts. Pros: -Quick, courteous, and high quality work. -Fast replies on yelp even outside of regular business hours Cons: -To get an appointment scheduled, you need to put down a deposit first before you'll find out when their next available appointment is. For work that needs to be done right away, this is concerning since a big part of selecting a company to work with is when they'll be able to come out and help. In our case, the first appointment was within one week. -While Brother & Brothers was able to diagnose the issue and tell us what the fix would be, they don't perform that work in our area. This con is mitigated by the referral they provided to another electrical company that does do that work in our area. I would call Brother & Brothers again in the future if I was experiencing minor electrical issues. They provide a good quality of service for that scale in our area. For large issues, I would likely reach out directly to the company they referred me to this time around. read more

I'm very disappointed in the process and how things have unfolded with this business. They were quick to respond with a quote but fell flat when it came to the integrity and promised appointment time.  My appointment was scheduled in advance on January 31st.  They sent a quote I had to sign with their scope of work and I was pleased with how smoothly it was going until the day of service.  I had requested the day off to ensure I was there in case the person had questions or concerns for me.  I was led to disappointment the morning of my appointment which was scheduled for 11 am, on 02/08.  First, they sent a confirmation that my appointment was going to go through, then I received a voicemail saying that "I may have to reschedule."  It gets worse because I tried calling their office and texted them and they didn't answer.  I felt like I was being ignored. I then went back on Yelp to see if they would answer me there and they did.  I asked if they would still be able to come out because I would be at home all day and that I didn't mind if my appointment had to be pushed back until the end of the day as long as they can make it.  The person (Ray or the owner) said that they would be able to make it and that they would update me with time.  It was 5:41 pm as I typed this and still no word. I had to be the one to reach out to find out if they were still coming. No one ever reached back to me. I called their office 02/09 and a woman answered and she sounded surprised that I called back after being burned with my first appointment. Her words, "you are the person that needed the ceiling fan work." She was polite and did apologize. However, I asked if I can be rescheduled and she said their next spot was 3 pm on Thursday 02/10. I accepted and gave them another shot. Not once did I receive a confirmation for my rescheduled appointment. At this point, I began to feel like they weren't taking this seriously. I felt at that moment that as a customer my request wasn't of any value to them. 02/10 - I didn't hold my breath for them to show because of the lack of communication. I actually became hesitant to even try and contact them because I knew in the back of my mind that they weren't going to show. On 02/08 I started questioning their integrity and started digging a bit deeper into who they were. I discovered that they have burned (aka stood up) multiple people and then completely ignored them here on Yelp and Google. I also learned that they may not even be licensed. I was shocked to see that the owner replied to their customers with "dude" which is so unprofessional. As I type this, 10:19 pm, another customer posted on Yelp, Jason L. that they also got burned with their appointment. Read his review to understand our frustrations with this business. Overall, if you made it this far I was very polite and understanding throughout the situation but I'm frustrated because I took a second day off from work and used up my final personal days so that I can be here for them to do the work. I knew they were going to ignore me and flake out like they did the other customers. On 02/09, I decided to book another electrician as a backup and they were very responsive and actually spoke to me over the phone rather than a receptionist who may or may not be good at scheduling. I'm glad I booked a backup but I wish I did more research into this Brother and Brothers business to avoid taking days off where they didn't fulfill their request for the work. My recommendation is that you go with this business as a last resort or pay a little extra for honest workers out there.  I was skeptical because of how limited their reviews were.  However, I felt like I was placed on the back burner and tossed aside with no explanation other than, "he's still on another job."  I get that you have to finish other jobs but communication is very key with customers.  If you can't fulfill that and just ignore us, then how do you expect other people to trust your business and the work you do.  I'm very displeased with my service and write this review as a warning to proceed with caution.  It seems they have issues with their calendars and then just drop communication when they no longer feel like servicing you.  If you do go with them, you should seek to ensure the integrity of their work. The amount of people they have flaked on is quite alarming and they lack the ability to communicate effectively with their customers. Their lack of integrity is based on my experience and if you have to book another person while hoping this person shows at the same time really goes to show that they may not be reliable. I'm officially booked with another electrician and I got my fingers crossed that they show up for you should you decide to go with them. Best of luck! read more

Update on the (dis)repair done by this company. HVAC company out today to troubleshoot my previously working furnace (as before b&b showed up) and install the 1st smart thermostat I wanted placed on. He noticed that a fuse was blown during Brother&Brothers attempt at an install. I'm kind of curious why that would be something an electrician wouldn't pick up on. Oh, and he had the thermostat on and functional in no time at all. Don't waste your time with this company. It's apparent that they aren't a company to call unless you feel like blowing some cash. read more

Was quoted one price before they came out and paid double for just a GFCI outlet replacement for 40-45 mins of work. $500 for a replacement of a GFCI outlet is outrageous.
