I specifically asked for this information, before purchase, as we experienced the same trouble with our previous floor purchased elsewhere. The first roll we received, had a 7 inch flaw that was there from factory production. Rather than correcting this mistake, the floor was shipped anyway. We asked for a refund so we could go elsewhere, as time was an issue. A refund by Ozburn's was refused. In order to not lose more financially, we ordered a replacement. Same as the first. Was to come within 2 weeks. It took almost 6 weeks for the floor to come in. When we put it in, the floor that was to be durable and good quality, was easily damaged. The floor was to be strong enough to handle refrigerator wheels moving over it. It was not. The floor was to be strong enough to handle things set down or dropped on it. It was not. We paid $600.00 for a small section of flooring that is not strong or durable and now has marks on it that cannot be fixed. We will not order from this company again as we are of the opinion they do not stand behind their product or give accurate product information.

Scheduling was disorganized, with multiple changes and reschedules that caused unnecessary disruption to our home and family routine. When you are replacing flooring, timing matters -- and we did not feel that our time was respected. The initial installation required correction, which added further inconvenience. After issues were addressed and a balance adjustment was agreed upon, Cy contacted my wife directly requesting additional personal payment through Zelle/Venmo. This was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Payment matters should go through proper company channels -- not personal payment apps. Overall, we did not feel that the level of care, professionalism, or customer consideration matched what we paid for. We expect contractors to communicate clearly, honor scheduling commitments, stand behind their work properly, and handle disputes professionally. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

We will be using David and his team for all of our future flooring projects in the Nashville area. I wouldn't go with anyone else. The long version: we reached out to David as one of our options when redoing our flooring in our home. He was helpful and came by to give us a quote and offer some flooring options. We ended up not going with him because our project manager wanted to use one of his guys. Even after deciding to go with someone else, David was responsive, kind, and helpful. Well, ultimately, we should have gone with David from the beginning because we had a very bad experience with the initial team our project manager chose (they didn't come on time, would skip days, were unresponsive, damaged parts of our home, and generally did poor work -- you name it, it went wrong with them). So: we went back out to bid the rest of the project (the stairs, the most complicated part of the project) with a number of contractors, including David and FCI of Eastern Nash --- his quotes were competitive with all the other bids we received. He was happy to work with us and use materials that we ordered separately through Floor & Decor. We switched to David halfway through the project to finish off our stairs. The difference between David's team and the other contractor was night and day. David was responsive and helpful in the planning stage, he spent a significant amount of time at our home making sure we were ordering the right materials with the right measurements, and he was flexible in moving the project date when our delivery of the flooring materials was delayed. His team showed up on time, worked hard all day, and even finished half a day early (which never happens in my experience with contractors!). David was there almost the whole time to monitor his workers, checked in regularly, and was the last one to leave in the evening. He even left our garage cleaner than it was when he got there! We had a couple items we wanted them to come back and refinish, and he and his team did it happily without push back. He even came back and did some of the final finishes himself when his team wasn't available, and that was after he had received full payment. He offered to come back and fix anything that went wrong with his going forward as well. Truly, top-tier customer service and a pleasure to work with. And the stairs with the new flooring look really great. Courteous, diligent, high-quality work at a competitive price -- he and his team made what was a daunting project feel easy. We will be using them again for all flooring projects in the area.
