DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. What should have been a simple flooring installation turned into an absolute nightmare. The project started in April, and here we are at the end of July, and it still isn't finished. This has been, without question, the worst experience I've ever had with any contractor. I trusted this company with my home, and they left it damaged, unfinished, and in some areas, completely unsafe. Here are just some of the issues they left behind: Multiple areas of the flooring are buckling and lifting. The stair treads are uneven and not level. Construction materials and unopened boxes of flooring were left sitting in my living room. They cut my original stair spindles and replaced almost half of them with mismatched spindles that don't match the rest of the staircase! Looks horrible. The stair landing was never properly sealed or finished. Floors squeak throughout the house. Visible unfinished edges and seams were left throughout the installation. The installers acknowledged these issues and promised they would return to fix them but never did. They charged me nearly $1,000 to repair the damaged subfloor, yet it was never repaired as promised. Because of the poor installation, there are now gaps of more than 2 inches beneath my doors and major height differences between rooms. Flooring seams are loose and separating. The trim work is sloppy, incomplete, and unprofessional. Multiple flooring boards were installed with chipped and damaged edges. They scratched the paint on my stair spindles during installation. Shoe molding wasn't properly finished or sealed. The workmanship was only part of the problem. What should have taken a few days, turned into six weeks of pure chaos! Crews would show up without notice, spend 9-10 hours in my home, I had to take days and days off from work, they would then leave without completing the work or giving me any status updates. Different people were constantly coming and going, and communication was nearly impossible because some workers did not speak English. Tools came up missing in my house; paint was taken without permission. Every day felt disorganized, and no one seemed to know what was happening. Whenever I called the office looking for answers, I was treated like I was the problem. I was actually told they were "so busy" and that I was "lucky" they had squeezed me into their busy schedule, as if I should be so grateful after spending thousands of dollars! I was not getting anywhere with their men, and I had to involve my husband. They would not listen to me or my concerns, I'm pretty sure because I'm a woman, which is discrimination. The complete lack of professionalism and respect was unbelievable! To make matters even worse, one of the crew members dropped a large heavy power tool from my 2nd-floor staircase that landed about a foot from my head. It could have seriously injured me. The same incident left a large gouge in my new floor. I had to repeatedly ask them to repair the damage, and when they finally did, they still left the repair unfinished and floor unsealed. The project was never completed. I never received a final walkthrough, final inspection, or final sign-off. There were still numerous outstanding repairs when communication simply stopped. I was just waiting, waiting and waiting for someone to reach out. Then, despite all of this, they sent me the final invoice! When I asked why they were billing me for a project that wasn't finished, I received no response. I had no choice but to dispute the charges with my financing company. And now I don't even want these people in my home ever again! Every time they came back to fix something, they would damage something else. I gave R&S Flooring every opportunity to make things right. Instead, I was ignored and disrespected. I documented everything with photographs, emails, and written communication. Today I'm left with a damaged home, defective workmanship, and the expense of hiring someone else to correct their mistakes. Save yourself the stress, the damage, and the headaches! Hire literally anyone else. High school kids would have done better than these people! 0/10. I would never recommend R&S Flooring to anyone! BEWARE! read more

R&S did the LVP flooring at our basement and the whole project went so smoothly. Scheduling provided updates on crew arrival times, the crew worked fast and kept the area clean, and the painter came in right after the show was installed to get it painted. Just had them back to do a bonus room with the same flooring and it went just as smooth. I had an issue with some of the base shoe joints and their project manager addressed it right away before it got painted. read more

We found ourselves in a bit of a conundrum recently. We had two short, non-load-bearing walls removed in a room that had engineered wood flooring glued onto a concrete slab. Issue # 1: Remove old floor and replace with new strips in a pattern that smoothly fills in the spaces where the old floor was removed Issue # 2: Match the size, color, and grain of the old flooring with new replacement strips A representative (Clayton) came to our home to measure and give us an estimate. He invited us to visit the store to look at samples. The number of samples we found in the store were a bit daunting at first. But a helpful sales representative there guided us through a selection process (limited by the few samples that might fit and match in color.) She gave us several samples to bring home. Finally deciding on a match, we returned to the store to place our order. Unfortunately, we had to order an entire box, even though we'd be using less than a quarter of that amount. When the installers came, they tore out the old floor, then discovered that the wood that was sent did not match our color! Arrrgggh. (But thank goodness they suggested we return to the store to straighten it out. Which we did.) The floor was installed in about half a day and we were extremely pleased with the efficiency and courtesy of the installation crew. Eric, Project Manager came to do a final inspection, repaired one or two minor glue gaps...and we were done. Overall, we were very pleased with the service (save for the initial mistaken wood color). And, as you can see by the photos I've posted, they did a great job interlacing (weaving) in the new with the old. read more

Every step of the way in our home project, R&S Flooring let us down. The day of demo, the workers showed up without the correct tools, which subsequently resulted in demo taking a full day longer than it was supposed to. It took them bringing a succession of 2 (?!) broken tools in from their warehouse in nashville before the 3rd arrived, but not until the following day. No ventilation was used during demo (OSHA violation, FYI) which left our house dirty and dusty, and caused our fire alarm to go off. Large chunks of paint were also ripped off both my baseboards and my newly painted kitchen cabinets during the demo, and when the painter came to do the touch-up, he did an absolutely mediocre job, leaving the damaged areas still looking nearly bare, and he left paint spatters on the walls, new floors, and kitchen granite. It took a full month for me to even receive a response to my email requesting a new paint job. The painter did eventually come back, and the finish was still somewhat sub-par, however it was significantly better than the first time, which tells me it was clearly a deliberately half-hearted attempt the first time. We also had to have a special transition piece made for the entrance to the laundry room because the demo ripped up part of the flooring there, and scheduling this also took a full month after install. The can of glue was set directly onto our brand new floors and left large splatters on the new flooring as well as inside the laundry room, which we were unable to clean off. I have not once received an apology from R&S despite my many emails detailing our concerns and including pictures. The Good: had over 2,000 square feet of hard wood refinished! Old hard wood was pretty worn with some damaged wood also. R & S did an exceptional job. We went with a matte finish and it's now been several months and it still looks terrific. My wife literally comments ever week on how much she loved it! They exceeded my expectations. The shoe molding work too was high quality. The Bad: It did take two return visits to fix s few spots to get it just right. Their cost is a bit higher than competitors, but the quality and experience is there for the cost. They do a good deal of TV advertising so you know some of the cost goes to paying for high priced advertising. Still, worth it for the results. Tips: A $500 off coupon for jobs over $2500 is you ask. I declined the extra dust minimizing unit to save several hundred dollars and there truly was still no dust to be seen! read more

Severely disappointed; and our floors aren't even finished! We scheduled for them to come out and quote our floor. We pointed out the floors that needed to be patched and the fact that there was some foam that we couldn't remove ourselves. The quote comes in and doesn't include the foam removal or the patchwork. Called the office and asked for the quote to include the patchwork and foam removal and the office manager said it wouldn't be a problem. We were scheduled later that week. The day the floors were supposed to be done, one associate comes out and sees the spot that needs to be patched up. He said he didn't know about it and would have to send another guy out to fix it. Okay... maybe he didn't know! No problem. 4 hours later, the patch guy comes out and sees that some foam padding is still intact on parts of the floor. He said that he didn't realize this and needs to send out another guy to remove the foam! We didn't hear from R&S for the rest of the day. We had to call them back to ask what the heck was going on. Their excuse was none of the issues we had were addressed when our floors were scheduled to be refinished. The woman we talked to implied that this was our fault for not bringing this up. ALL of this was addressed during the inspection and again reemphasized during the scheduling. Heck, even the guy that took the quote saw the floors, he saw their condition! We can't even live in the rooms! So here we are living in our living room with a 2 month old and we still have unfinished floors. Thanks for nothing, R&S Woodflooring. read more

I am very disappointed with the way our flooring was done ! I have a new house and wanted to get hardwood done on the ground. Reached out to R & S Flooring after reading some good reviews. Prices were reasonable and Bill whom we spoke to was an amazing person who helped us out with finalizing and scheduled the work. 1. They send in a crew who have 0 sense that they are getting in into a new house and they dont have their own work boots ON. It was a rainy day and the worker just came in straight with all water and dirt on their boots to the entire house. I had to ask them to leave looking at the mess that they initially did - i had no hopes that they would have done a good job. R & S flooring spoke to me and scheduled with a different crew (this time their way of talking to me was changed. They said something like "workers have to wear boots as per the insurance" for which i responded that they can wear boots but they should have some sense to get their work boots which can be used inside the house as well ! Finally they scheduled with another crew 2. The second crew came and seemed very professional. They did their job and left. Now this is where all problem started. I didnt get into a contract with R & S floorng to just do the hardwood just for the sake of it and leave. I would have expected them to do a clean job - Its a new house guys ! Here is the issue: The floor is uneven with a bump here and there and a hotwheel car at the center of the living room can slide in either direction. Loosely patched hardwoods and bumpy ones at the center. I can see a bell curve at the stone work on my fireplace :( The best explanation ever heard: I had to go through a lot of discussions / debates with their project manager. For all the bumps and irregularity in the hardwood, they blame the builders for the sub floor. I spoke with the builders as well to which they said, they have their own contractors who know how to do hardwood flooring. it is the same / similar subfloor that they put in every house that they build and how come their contractors can get it right and not R & S flooring ? Then they schedule meetings after meetings to just blame the builder. Even if the builder was ready to talk, R & S were not ! later, i dropped by to their office and said "i can make the remaining payment right away but what happens to the issue with my flooring ?" they said payment is not an issue, we will send another project manager who will investigate. Guess what, here is the outcome, the other project manager as well told that it is a sub floor problem. My question to them was very easy one for which they never had an answer:"Even if there was a sub floor problem, the crew who laid it out could have identified it at the start rather than just finishing it for the sake of it !". Now the ultimate victim from the mess that has been done is us. We live in a new house where we dont like the flooring :( Also, i receive a call again from R & S flooring office who threatened that they have different way of collecting money if i dont pay off the amount. JUST ANSWER TO ME: WHERE ON EARTH HAVE I TOLD YOU THAT I WONT PAY ??? FOR THE CRAPPY WORK THAT YOU GUYS HAVE DONE ??? you were the one who told me that payment is not an issue when i wanted to pay and now you threaten me ??? ZERO STARS!! Used first time a couple years ago, they were 10 stars, excellent. Had a flood and first floor was ruined last fall so we hired them again without hesitation. New project manager Tommy was never around, no answered or returned calls, my husband managed our own project. They ordered the wrong wood and used a matte stain instead of semi gloss. PS-we had to move out of our house for a week each time. So we were finally able to schedule a time to move out-again-with the four fur kids into a hotel for two nights this week so they could fix THEIR ERROR. My husband called Monday & confirmed with Berta that we were scheduled for Thursday. They never showed up. So, after a dozen calls and me showing up there (which the "GM" , Loretta would not see me), was told she "was in a meeting" but someone would be out 2-3pm. It was after 1pm & we were 30 mins away from home at a hotel. She called me 3 minutes after leaving. That phone call lasted less than five mins, every question i asked she answered with an i don't know or I'm not sure. She also stated that we were not telling the truth when we said we were told (all 3 jobs) that we needed to be out of the house because the fumes are toxic. She laughed and told me POLYURETHANE IS NOT TOXIC!! Then she hung up on me. I have placed a formal complaint with the BBB. This is a family run business and these workers are running it into the ground!!! They never followed up to come back the following day to move the furniture back in either. Horrible. DO. NOT. USE. My friend Skeeter had his entire house done with R&S flooring.. What I really liked was the detail of the joints and tight fitting cuts the did.. True craftsmen that take pride in the work they do.. they even made really nice frames around the where the floor air vents are made out of the same hard wood as the flooring... HORRIBLE QUALITY in Installation of carpet and wood flooring and even worse Customer Service. We purchased hard wood floors for our Master bedroom and new carpet for our entire upstairs and after three months and FOUR no show appts the management finally sent workers over to correct the mistake in installation with carpet seams and also in replacement of wood floor boards that didn't match to the flow of our adjoining living room. When the Project Manager arrived and the workers they all had an attitude and were rude. Rather than apologizing for my husband and so having to miss literally five days of work for their errors in communication with their employees we were greeted like we were the problem. I can't say enough how horrible the quality is of R&S. We hope this review helps other families in Middle Tennessee know that with R&S you are going to have to FIGHT for Quality the whole way through the job. Would never recommend them. read more

I was promised my floors would be completed in 2 days with the engineer wood. I decided I wanted tile in the bathrooms instead and all hell broke loose. It's been 4 weeks and the job still isn't completed. The installers do a good job but leave a mess and the middlemen including the project manager,sales person and the clerks are useless. I'm not sure why they are paid. The communication is horrible. They had installers showing up on days and times I wasn't notified about and the days and times they were suppose to show up never happened. Please do not conduct business with these people. My biggest mistake was going with R&S rather than the other two companies. There was a nominal difference in cost, but I mistook their years of business for an expertise. There was complete disrespect for my home beginning with the project manager Eric who thought talking over someone meant he was in control. If I had known I would have to spend an additional $1000 to repair the walls, baseboards, match the quarter round, and attempt to remove the glue from the doors I would never have chosen R&S. A commode had to be removed to lay the floor. The workers sat it on the front porch rather than the garage for the day and night. I live in a deed restricted area with a covenant. I'm surprised the neighbors didn't call and complain about the commode. A trash container was located at the curb, but the debris was thrown on my lawn, leaving us to pick debris from the lawn rather than ruin a lawn mower. The project manager was amused the commode was sat in front, declined to look at the areas or the pictures taken, and insinuated the damage was already there. We had just completed renovation of the kitchen as well as having the entire downstairs painted. The manager, the salesman, the project manger and workers were reminded 5 times about the recent painting. We did receive lip service that damage would not occur. Of course that is exactly what there was. Lip service. There were drinks in the garage for an event, to which the workers opened them, turned them so they would not be noticed and drank what was not offered to them. The project manager said someone would come to repair the things mentioned. Instead we had someone call wanting us to measure all of the areas and to call him back with the results so he could go to Lowe's. Being in healthcare my expertise does not lie with a slide ruler. I live in an area where we all ask each other about services that are provided if we are seeking those services. We also have a community Review where updates are given. Having an excellent outcome from the painters, the granite company has made it easy to refer those to anyone that ask. It also has been easy to provide pictures and results of the R&S care of our home and the services they provided. Needless to say pictures are worth a thousand words. Calls to the general manager Angie has gone unanswered as have the texts to project manager Eric. Although he did say when he came to receive payment he had "stuff"in the truck to take the glue off. I guess he had to find that "stuff." That was 4 weeks ago and it's still on the doors. I paid in full rather than ever having to see or hear of this company again. The saying "you get what you pay for" but in this case we did not. We received substandard results, and indifferent personnel. read more

If you're looking for knowledgable and ethical salespeople, installers, and ownership for your floor installation RUN FAR AWAY! Whether they stand by work, and come clean when faced with numerous outright lies effecting purchase, warranty, and install is another matter. This review is based on the fact that the floor was not laid to instruction, it was laid incorrectly, the owner lied about the floor manufacturer warranty, his Mexican project manager either told the truth that his no Ingles installers did not follow his repeated instructions, or he lied about them and... well that's no better. The salespeople were not truthful about proper installation techniques, what options are available, and who manufacturers their some of their products (don't fall for the this is made locally line, unless Texas is now considered a "local" manufacturer. Installers also ignored repeated instructions from the homeowner on the lay. Looks like the entire job will have to be torn out and replaced. This was a brand new lay. Thus far, they have turned a one room one week project into three weeks and best case will likely add at least one more week, but probably two. From one week to possibly FIVE for a single room? Inexcusable. My advice? Do your homework, read the manufacturer warranty, be present when they install the floor, and don't turn your back, not for a second with any of the employees or owner of the company. Good luck. I will amend my review and give more specifics and photos upon conclusion of the job. R&S Flooring may be good for straight up installs, not a lot of care or thought, and NO added value, unless misinformation, lying, and bad workmanship is added value to you. read more

We remodeled the first floor of our house almost 2 years ago which included sanding and finishing original wood flooring. R&S Flooring also removed carpet in our living room and parquet wood flooring in our office. Sand and finish wood flooring replaced the carpet and parquet wood and all wood downstairs was stained to match. The results were beautiful wood floors! Any issues we had were addressed quickly and professionally. Great customer service! Currently, we are having R&S Flooring sand and finish all original wood flooring in the upstairs of our house to match the downstairs and replace our stair railing. We called to schedule a quote on a Tuesday and Ray Creighton (he provided our quote for the downstairs too) was at our house on Wednesday. Ray is very professional and took the time to answer all of my questions during his visit. I will not hesitate to use R&S Flooring again! read more

I remodeled the first floor of our house recently which included replacing our carpet, existing hardwood floors and converting the carpet on our steps to hardwood steps. That's when I met Andrew. He took measurements in all of our rooms spending time to explain the process that would be needed for the project. I told him I wanted five Inch planks. That's important as I later called him back and changed my order to three and three quarter inch planks. He was very accommodating and didn't change the price for the project even though it would require more time to install the smaller boards (The price per hand scrapped pre finished boards was the same for 5 and 3 3/4). He sent Clayton out to check the humidity levels under my house to make sure there wouldn't be moisture problems. Clayton stopped by several times before the installation began and after as he was the project manager. I talked to Rachael numerous times including the change on the flooring size. She was very patient on each occasion even when we encountered a scheduling problem making the problem disappear. I would be remiss without mentioning Bill as I also called him when scheduling became a problem. Bill has a can do attitude making sure everything worked out. Andrew, Rachael, Bill and Clayton are true professionals exhibiting great customer service skill and were a pleasure to work with. My floors look great. P.S. I texted with Andrew las week about a squeaky step on my stairs. He had Clayton come by a day later and the squeak is gone. Great customer service. read more

R &S flooring is a class outfit. They installed and finished two rooms in our home to match some existing floors and the match was perfect. We had a problem with the floor cupping (edges of the boards curling up) after a few months. Upon calling R&S, they sent someone out to check for excess moisture and found none. With no argument they agreed to come out and refinish the floors at no cost to us. It is really great to find a business in these times that is customer oriented and stands completely behind their work. I really want to like these folks because the products they sell are great, but time and time again we get let down when it comes to scheduling and having promises delivered upon. We used R&S last March of 2017 to install new hardwood floors in our downstairs and new carpet upstairs....a huge job. We had issues then and seem to have issues again now for a patch job where we removed a peninsula in our kitchen. We had one tech come out on a Monday to patch our floors and he realized the job would have a better outcome if we ordered more floor and patched a larger area (to minimize squeaking and provide better seems on our tongue/groove flooring). Fine...we gave approval the same day to order 4 more boxes of flooring to Loretta and made sure their team knew our entire kitchen remodel was on hold until the floors were set. I was told on two occasions the flooring was ordered and twice it was not. Two days later they finally ordered our extra boxes and I picked them up at the warehouse as those have to sit in your home to acclimate for at least 5 days. A week and a half later a new tech came to patch our floors and the job was "not what they wrote down on his sheet". So again, no communication on the revised game plan to patch our kitchen floors. No one even called to apologize that they had screwed up. I called and asked for someone who could handle the job to actually come to our house. Again, not even an apology to say "I'm sorry we didn't order your flooring for two days"...."I'm sorry we booked the wrong tech for your service"...."I'm sorry we've delayed your kitchen reno for almost 2 weeks". A simple acknowledgement of an error can go a long way, but it just doesn't happen here. read more

We recently had hardwoods installed, and the existing ones refinished to match. This company was a breath of fresh air! They showed up when they said they would, finished on schedule and did beautiful work! There was not one single issue with them (which was not the case with the other two companies we used during our other renovations) and we could not be happier. Their crew was very nice, helpful and polite! Their bid was the lowest and the finished product is gorgeous - what more could you ask for? As a side note: my car died in a grocery store parking lot when their plumber was on his way to re-install the toilet and vanity in my newly redone half-bathroom. When I called to alert them that I unexpectedly wouldn't be home to let him in, they sent someone to pick me up and take me home! We had R&S replace old carpet with hardwoods and refinish existing hardwoods about two years ago. I was not happy with the whole process at the time and i continue to be upset two years later. When the estimator came to our house, we discussed that there might be water damage to the subfloor next to the back door. He told us if they found any damage they had a guy who could make any necessary repairs. Sure enough when the crew pulled up the carpet the subfloor was bad. We were then told that their subfloor repair guy was no longer with the company and we had to find our own guy. Which took forever to get someone to take such a small job. The whole project got put on hold for FOUR weeks while we had no floor on the entire main level of our home. R&S did nothing to help us find someone to fix the problem and didn't seem to care. Two years later my floors look terrible. They used wood putty to fill in a gap in a board that is right in the middle of the floor. Looks terrible! And the finish has already worn off. I've had wood floors in previous homes and these are the worst I've ever seen. Very disappointed! read more

We just got 2 new rooms of hardwood flooring to match the rest of our house. R&S did a great job. They then sanded our whole house and used a custom stain mix I requested. They were very professional, courteous and prompt. We had a couple of hiccups in our schedule, but they worked with us to resolve it quickly. I would personally recommend the project coordinator James Robbins, Rachel Turman, Loretta Sartin and Wade Wheat our installer. Our house looks brand new - which says a lot for a 1958 home that the previous owners had not taken care of! All the stains came out of the floors, the baseboards and shoe moulding are now in place and a smooth crisp white. Can't wait to paint our walls now! read more

Let me begin by detailing what we were told would happen by the salesman (which we were later told by an employee would say anything to sell the job). We were told that when our floors were done, we wouldn't be able to tell any workers were here at all. If anything got damaged, it would be repaired to perfection by the company, as if it never happened. I can assure you none of those things happened. The entire install job was so horrible it had to get redone. There was damage to both my walls and trim. Their solution was to slap a thin coat of paint on it to try to cover it up, but only made it worse. I've detailed all the dameage, frustration and headache that was caused by using this company, a decision we all regret making. We have spent so much time fixing and repairing every bit of damage they caused, it's heartbreaking when you consider how much money we paid for this low quality, horrific work. They are clearly quantity driven, not QUALITY driven. 1. Job scheduled to be five days with a 5 day hotel stay. Due to the fact they did a horrible job on the install, they had to do it all over again, which required another 3 day hotel stay. Total project took 3 weeks instead of 5 days. We had to live in the house with the entire bottom floor moved into our garage and bonus room for three weeks, including having no kitchen to cook in. 2. The lack of communication and confusion they breed is the most frustrating part. One person tells you one thing, and another person tells you something completely different. You can't trust they'll do what they say, show up on time or have the least bit of concern for the customer's happiness. They sent a crew out to do the work on my house who had multiple complaints on the quality of work they were doing. Why keep sending them out? That cost me 2 extra weeks of headache, frustration, money and inconvenience. 3. The install was terrible. There were wide gaps in the boards all over the place, nail holes weren't filled in at all, boards were laid too far from the wall for trim to cover it. The installers rushed to get it done. This happened throughout the entire job. 4. When we pointed out all the stain the installers got on my freshly painted walls, dings in the corners that had to be repatched and walls that needed to be entirely repainted, the PM's response to us was all of that was 'normal'. Obviously anyone who has ever experienced a good quality job, or has pride in ANYTHING they do knows better than that. They did a terrible job. But I can say with absolute certainty that the amount of money I paid for them to do my floors should guarantee that NO damage be done to my home at the cost of their work in it. So, be warned, having them provide service in your home will guarantee damage to it as well as your money and labor in repairing the damage. 5. People didn't show up for scheduled appointments and didn't offer the courtesy of a phone call, installers showed up without a clue of what work they were supposed to do. My husband and I had to tell them which was difficult since they barely spoke english. 6. They took two weeks to come back out to fix the job they screwed up, still with no kitchen or furniture. The company actually postponed our job once because when someone called in sick, they didn't feel that fixing our floors was a high priority. New work was more important. 7. The trim work was just as awful as the initial flooring install. The shoe mold cuts were too short with corners not meeting, most of the pieces were only nailed down on the ends which meant they bowed out away from the wall in the middle, the shoe mold they replaced in my kitchen around my oak cabinets wasn't even stained to match my cabinets. They laid down bare wood shoe mold in my kitchen and I even found a piece of shoe mold that wasn't nailed down at all. Luckily my husband has a nail gun and was able to redo all the trim since it wasn't done properly. 8. The painter that came out to paint the shoe mold and trim decided only a light single coat was needed. He painted over trim that was destroyed when they ripped it off to do the floors instead of repairing it first then painting. Again, a truly horrible job on the trim and painting. My husband spent days replacing and repairing it. Both of us are irritated beyond belief that we paid for their work and it was so terrible. I have never had such a miserable experience dealing with a company performing a service. Since our troubles began, I've heard of other homeowners experiencing the same thing. One couple was sent to a hotel for a few days while the work was scheduled to be done, only to come home and find they never showed to do the job. Hired them to remove carpet and refinish the hardwood floors in our baby's room and the master bedroom. They would not do the job. I emailed for a quote on a room, They said that room was below their minimum job size and would I like to do 2 rooms. I agreed. The owner came by took measurements and both rooms were just above their minimum job. I scheduled a day for the work to be done. The workers showed up, Looked at the rooms. asked about color of the floors and looked at where the carpet was already pulled up but didn't touch the carpet or begin removing it. They went back to the van to get some knives. They were in the house about three minutes less time that owner was when he took measurements. One of the workers stuck his head in the door and said they had to run down the street to get more blades and sandpaper. A few minutes later the owner calls. My guys are refusing to reenter the house. They said they are covered with fleas or bedbugs. What? They say they are scrapping them off. There are no bugs here. I'm in the room now. I don't have another crew free right now I'll check back with them and call you. I vacuum the rooms while I'm waiting on him to call back. Even though they were vacuumed the day before after we moved all the furniture out. He didn't call so I called him. They are refusing to enter still claim there are bugs. Any chance there something there? No. I spent the past week painting the room and moving furniture nothing in there. If you remove the carpet I can send them back tomorrow. That wasn't going to happen lie to me you are not getting back in my house. I ended pulling carpet myself since I was off work. There was nothing in the room they just didn't want to do the job. And rather than turn it down they just made up lies. Stay away from RS flooring. read more

I had R&S come to my home to install hardwood floors and the work is horrible, the installers did not leave proper expansion joints so now the wood has buckled. Also they did not install t-molding at doors and into other rooms which can cause additional buckling. When I asked them to come out and evaluate and fix the they did so but tried to blame moisture for the issue and they did not fix the problem. Since then I have had my floor evaluated by multiple professionals and they have all had the same opinion that the issues with buckling are a direct result of the expansion joints not being cut properly. If I had to do it all over again I would not use R&S flooring I would have gone with a professional someone that knows what they are doing. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! I had flooring installed by this company and it was as total DISASTER!!!! Project manager Tommy was a nice guy up until I had issues, he didn't seem to have the expertise needed to help. My flooring was not installed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. I had the flooring installed bc my home flooded. R&S didn't feel it was necessary to do a moisture test, they also didn't feel the need to make sure my flooring was level. I spoke with Loretta who was VERY rude and uncaring!!!! I contacted project manager several times and let him know I wasn't happy with the install, the flooring had high and low spots that were VERY noticeable, he assured me that everything was fine and brushed my concerns off attempting to justify the issues previously mentioned. He told me moisture test wasn't required and flooring only had to be level to a certain extent (which wasn't measured). I had a licensed flooring inspector come out and inspect floor (at my expense), the inspector confirmed there were indeed issues that should've been addressed and that flooring was NOT installed in accordance to manufacturer recommendations (which would void my warranty). I sent a copy of the inspection report over to R&S and simply requested that they fix the issues. Tommy requested I resend inspected report (in which I did). Followed up with Tommy several times for an update of ETA on getting my flooring corrected (no response). A few months go by of me attempted to contact protect manager (unsuccessfully). I then received a notice on door for civil warrant, I go to sheriffs office to pick up subpoena (from R&S). I attempted to contact Tommy again (no response), I contacted the store and left message (no response). At this point I hired an attorney, turns out the owner was not aware of any of my situation!!! R&S refunded the deposit paid (for material) and relieved me of owed balance for botched installation, however, I was NOT reimbursed for money paid to flooring inspector to prove floor was improperly installed nor attorney fees! R&S flooring costed me money and I still don't have flooring to this day, I'm being very selective about who I have install my flooring next. I don't want to get burned again. I don't recommend anyone use R&S Wood Flooring!!!!! BEWARE! read more

We dealt with Cary C. in the store and could not have had a more professional experience from start to finish. We were in a rush to get a bonus room completed by the holidays. We saw Cary on a Saturday, and the very quickly had Clayton come measure. The floors were delivered the following Monday and were installed flawlessly today. I have done my own flooring in the past (including our kitchen), but it was well worth it to have R&S come and do our floors. Perfectly level, squared correctly, and even trimmed to match our preexisting stair stain. Phenomenal experience. Got a quote from R and S for hardwood in an upstairs bedroom. I decided to go with carpet as I ended up not wanting to put that much into hardwood. The carpet had to be ordered and I received a call advising it was in and would be installed a few days later. On the day of the scheduled installation, I got a call and was told it was actually not in , but would be installed two days later. Two days later, the installer showed up late and at the completion of the job, he advised they did not have enough to do the closet that was quoted as part of the job, but R and S would be responsible for the additional amount that would need to be ordered. I contacted the office manager that same day and asked for a quote on doing the closet in hardwood since the closet was not part of the actual bedroom. She told me that she would not get back to me for several days as she was going out of town for the holidays, but would have someone call me back the following week, which they did. I had some issue with the quote and the lady told me she would go back to the officer manager and have her look at it again. She never called back, so the following week, I contacted them again. The office manager has yet to discuss it with me and while dealing with her associate who said the office manager was busy, I was told this was the best they could do and that while they understood I had been inconvenienced, it was mostly my fault! Instead of picking up the phone and calling me, the office manager has had an associate communicate via email . I have been delayed almost three weeks now and will have to take off work again to have their mistake corrected. In spite of the fact we are barely $100 apart in what I wanted done, they will not relent and are willing to lose a repeat customer as they have done a lot of work for me in the past.
