Because of part shipped from England, Covid and weather, there were delays but Robert was good at keeping me informed. Most of the work was performed by Nicholas. When it was finished, I drove it over 1000 miles to Colorado with no overheating or problems related to their work. They were reasonable, only charging $100 per hour and they probably actually worked more hours than they charged me for. It was a tough job. No fancy shop but hard work and honesty, and good at keeping me informed of the progress. I highly recommend them, especially for basic maintenance and reasonable rates.

The first time we called Uncle Bo he arrived quickly and got the computer out of the way and…read moreallowed us to get our load back to the yard and then over to the dealer, so for the 400 he charged us it was a good deal, but on a subsequent call on our Volvo, he gouge us, and told us he did a repair on a computer pin plug adapter and then did a forced regen for 700 dollars. The problem is what he really did, he turned off the d-rate for sensors, pulled the fuse on the regen, and had he told us that we would have known to be sure to do full PM's every 30 days. The driver didn't know, the soot levels got high, and the engine wouldn't allow a regen, and the back pressure caused a EGR cooler leak. it would have happened sooner but I did a PM and an EGR cooler clean at the dealer. All he had to do was give us instruction about the consequences of the adjustments he made in the computer and that would have been fine. he's the expert, and one thing led to the next via a stupid driver of the truck. UNCLE BO YOU WANT TO HELP US REBUILD THE MOTOR, IF SO I CAN CHANGE THIS TO 5 STARS. WHAT DO YOU SAY?

He came in for about an hour and assessed all of our repairs. I wrote him a check, because he said that would be the best method of payment, and he left saying that we should be getting an estimate delivered to my husband's email soon. "Soon" has long since passed. My husband contacted him on 2 occasions asking if he'd sent the estimate yet and Justin assured us that he had. But maybe he sent it to the wrong email so he'd try again. 3 weeks later, I decided to give him a call myself. Upon answering the phone I asked him how long it generally takes for him to give an estimate. He said it could be a few days or several more if he had to contact the manufacturer for pricing on parts and such. I asked if it was normal practice for him to come in and collect a service fee without actually offering any services. He, of course, said no. I expressed my frustration with this whole situation and asked why we hadn't gotten our estimate yet. He said that we must be one of those cases where he's waiting to hear back from the manufacturer. Yeah, okay. So I let him know that I was going to find every review site his business was listed on and leave a review of my experience with him. He PROMPTLY shifted and offered a refund to make it right. I asked how we were going to go about that and he asked how I made payment. I said, "a check, because that's what you said was best for YOU". So he offered to bring a check by our RV site the very next day. And he even asked me to text him our site number so he could deliver it to the correct place. Well, by golly .... the manufacturer must have gotten back to him quickly after our phone call because my husband had the estimate (dated for that very day) in his inbox about 4 hours later. With a lovely note. ((My comments are interjected throughout with parentheses)) From Justin: Attached to this email is a copy of your estimate in PDF format. We apologize for any inconveniences that have occurred. Our, now former, receptionist documented your email address incorrectly. ((My husband only had correspondence with Justin)) I thank you for bringing that to our attention, and your estimate has also been forwarded to your insurance adjuster with the claim number in the subject line. ((Our Ins adjuster even had difficulties contacting him))!This estimate will be valid for you to receive a disbursement check from your insurance provider. You may then, with your right as a consumer, use that disbursement check to have your RV repaired at any repair facility of your choice. I spoke on the phone with a Rebekah Merwin at phone number ******** today. She expressed concern when she called about the delinquency of the aforementioned estimate. I told her I was not at my desk and could not verify the status at that time. However, I did offer to send it over immediately when I got back to the office.((this is a LIE. He NEVER offered the estimate because, by his account, he was still waiting to hear from the manufacturer)) She demanded that she didn't want to do business with us, that we were thieves, she threatened to defame and slander us on Yelp, Yahoo, etc. ((I assured him I'd share my experience with his company)) I can assure you, with the sending of this email, your service was provided as promised(writing up and sending estimate), and the feeling that you were "stolen from," as put by your wife, hopefully has been rectified. I do offer our most sincere apology for our tardiness which was handled as soon as it was brought to our attention today. We have taken care of this matter with the upmost professionalism and believe that no negative reviews should be given on our behalf. They kept our camper from January through April, only to test the ACs on a day when it was 34 degrees outside. Unsurprisingly, they called to say, "Everything's working fine." Spoiler: they absolutely were not. We've owned other campers and know what a functioning AC feels like. With three units on board, it was painfully obvious nothing was working. Frustrated, we picked it up and took it to Channelview Supply. Within two weeks, they diagnosed the issue correctly (all three AC units were bad), submitted the warranty claim, and replaced them with new, upgraded units. Fun Town RV wasted three months of our time and did nothing to actually solve the problem. Channelview Supply did in two weeks what Fun Town couldn't do in three months. Save yourself the trouble and go to Channelview Supply for your RV service. I strongly recommend them if you want honest, competent service.

I finally spoke to Alice. She promised my quote to be ready that Wednesday. No return calls. I called again. Left messages. After being ignored for 34 days. I called again on 08-28-2028. I finally was able to speak with Alice to let her know I have decided to take my trailer out and go to another facility. She told me she an estimate (all of a sudden). Must be magic. I told her I didn't want the quote and there service. If it takes numerous phone calls and 34 days to get an estimate. I cannot imagine how long it'll take for my trailer to be fixed. Rather than complicate things in the future. It is best to shake hands and part ways. Next thing I know. I get a call from the owner Becca telling me I cannot have my trailer because I owe $175.00 for an estimate. I asked her what estimate? I never received it. She blew up and told me no money no trailer. This is when things went downhill. I go pay for the estimate I didn't receive. Another gentlemen claims he is also the owner and Becca come out. Your trailer has a bad tire. We don't want to fix it. I asked nicely this is not fair. I have no way to replace it. It wasn't damaged when I brought it. You can see the picture. This tire hit something while in there possession. It is my problem now. This is when I get on the phone with Harris county because they won't give me my trailer damaged tire or not. They thought I was bluffing until I waited. Next thing I know after waiting over 30 minutes. I see the male owner pulling my trailer and dropping it with a bad tire. The most decent thing would've been for them to at least change the tire with my spare. Fortunately bad people don't intimidate me. I hired a repair company. Harris county was trying to make this a criminal case. Instead I accepted just a civil report and left. Folks great place to go in and get a part that is on the shelf. When it comes to service beware they never accept responsibility. The Customer is always wrong and management is full of excuses.. You will see when they respond. My trailer is in a much better place. God is great!

Bryan came out today and removed the old batteries and replaced with ones that I purchased. The 2008 RV had corroded battery hold downs that he had to cut off and then go and find replacements for. So he made new J bolts from threaded rod and installed them. Can't thank him enough for solving our issues. Prices are reasonable. Give him a call if you need work done.

I found Ming's on Yelp regarding my generator not starting on my Fleetwood RV. I spoke with him and the phone and walk me through what the issue could be. I called Ming to look at my rear air conditioner on my 2016 Jayco Seneca. They provided SAME DAY service and determined the compressor was bad. I purchased a new Air Conditioner (from a separate vendor) the very next day and they installed it immediately. Ming's is very prompt and reliable. They are a little bit expensive but they do good work. I just wish they would lower their service fee to come to you which is $150. That is a little too expensive when other mobile repair people are about $50 less than that. But I must admit they do very good work. From the start, Nick bragged about his 5-star reviews and being worth his highest cost in town, and…read moreI felt we had someone we could trust and do a good job. After finding out he doesn't stand behind is work, and degrades us in the process, I feel others should be warned. Summary 1. Company does not stand behind their work. 2. He outsources jobs he does not want to do. Are they even qualified? 3. They charge warranty companies for more hours than it takes to fix the job. 4. Unreliable promises of work and when he'll be out 5. He will blame you for the problems6. He doesn't listen well, and argues to cover his him bases. Issue Issue 1: We have an ongoing issue with a tank that an outsourced person replaced for him. After coming out to look at the issue, Nicks' answer was that "it is normal for the vent seals above the tank to leak when tanks are filled". He told me to verify this with "anybody else". I did. I verified with SIX other qualified and well know rv techs that tanks are NOT supposed to leak from the vent seal whenever they do reach full, they are supposed to gurgle up into the drain. This fact was grossly overlooked by Nick, as he called our RV manufacturer and skated around the real question of leakage. Instead, he verified with him that it's not a good idea to fill the tanks all the time. We know that! But somehow he took my explanation of "in the past", and told everyone we fill it all the time! So much for listening. After hearing the recorded conversation from our RV manufacturer, I contacted that person directly and asked him about the REAL issue at hand: "IF the tank fills, is it supposed to leak". Like every other tech I spoke with, he said "No, it is not supposed to leak". And yes Nick, I have this in writing along with another quote from a different tech from our RV manufacturer, and 3 other techs that are well known across the country, INCLUDING one who visibly looked at the issue and verified that yours was installed incorrectly! Yet somehow, I also heard in that recorded conversation that "my word should be taken with a grain of salt"???? This company's improper tank install, has left us with a wet insulation mess in the underbelly. We will have to pay a quality RV tech to fix the issue which was appraised at around $1000. Nick is not even willing to step up and make things right. With all the money we and our warranty company paid him (over $12k), it would be nice for him to reimburse us for this repair. Issue 2: Nick said from day-1 that he didn't like to work on tank issues, so he was going to call in a friend. Was this person even qualified? Issue 3. He charged our warranty company more hours than it was actually taking him to do the work. This along with his high hourly rate, $185/hr, caused our warranty company to send an inspector to verify his costs. This ultimately led to them counter-offering a price that Nick should have agree with. Instead, he charged us out-of-pocket for the inflated estimates and times. Issue 4: The call went out to him in early April. Because of his cancellations and excuses, we had to keep on him in order to get the work done before we left May 25. Issue 5: Much of the work he did, he told us it was needing repair because of our error. IF there is ever something the customer causes, TEACH them, don't ridicule them! Issue 6: Nick doesn't listen, and twists your words. If we had not been in the middle of a claim with our extended warranty company, we would have fired Nick and hired another tech. Fast forward two months: We still have issues with the slides even after his repair. The repair that he claimed would fix the problem apparently wasn't the real issue. We also still have issues with our bedroom slide, which Nick didn't know how to fix. The only item he fixed that runs great is the landing gear. If you want to hire a person who believes it's normal "and ok" that grey water leaks all over the basement of your RV and ground, then maybe this is your guy. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and find a more qualified rv technician.

Then, he tells me I will have to pay for the part to repair it upfront. He refuses to give my generator back. He has no physical address for his business, his website is bogus and includes screwy links to a whole bunch of nothing, and the license plates on his work truck actually belong to a van. He is as dishonest as they come. NEVER call this guy. You will regret it. I'm simply trying to save anyone from making the same mistake I made. This man belongs in jail!

He came to my home and checked battery and removed bad gas and cleaned the system. The battery was good. I have had this ATV for a few years and it is running better than ever. Mike called me when he was on his way. Arrived at scheduled time. Kept work area spic and span clean. He is very knowledgeable, has a lot of experience, and a passion for repairing motorcycles and ATV's. I highly recommend Mike. I would definitely call him again next time.

We had high hopes for this company. I'll start by saying that Scott was kind and genuinely…read moredetermined to get our cars fixed. He made multiple visits over five days to work on both vehicles, and his effort was appreciated. On the last visit, the owner came along with another technician, Nathen, who we were told had experience at Honda. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. It quickly became clear that Scott was sent out before he was properly trained. He did his best, but several mistakes were made -- one being a wheel bearing replacement that never should have been done. Over a year later, we're still dealing with the consequences of that unnecessary repair. After his visits, our Honda (which only needed basic brake work) completely stopped running within a week. Discount Tire later found a large wrench left under the hood -- just one example of the sloppy workmanship we experienced. Communication was also a mess. We were quoted several different totals for the same job, told to hold off paying until a part arrived, and then suddenly threatened with vehicle towing for "non-payment." I kept records of every message because the company didn't. Adding to all this, the owner and Nathen displayed very unprofessional behavior while on their visit which I got a front row seat too thanks to the open bedroom window. Without going into unnecessary detail, let's just say Nathen was more focused on our back house neighbor and the possibility of some certain types of films playing out in real life...than on the job they were there for and hired to do. The takeaway: do not send untrained techs on jobs just because you're getting a lot of calls. You're risking customers' safety and trust. For anyone reading this -- a useful tip: if you've paid at least 10% of what's owed, a mobile mechanic cannot legally repossess or tow your vehicle. Know your rights. We paid well over that amount and plenty more afterward due to their mistakes.

Been working with these guys since the end of August 2019. He is how we met…read more We started home back to LA, after spending the 4th of July in Alabama. On the way home, we threw a rod. We limped the truck back to our property in Alabama and picked up a rental. Once back in LA, my dad and me looked all over for a replacement engine. 6.6L Duramax for a Chevy 2500. We talked with at 15 folks about getting an engine. Some were pulled out of their trucks after being in accident's or other strange things. A few of the remanufactured shops we contacted, had prices through the roof. Some of the prices for a used engine were down right scary. I told my dad, why pay for a used engine, that we have no idea of the history on. So we looked more at getting a remanufactured engine. A lot of the places had scary prices, that would make you not want to deal with them. Just by luck, I found MTZ on Craigslist. My dad liked the price, so we ordered a remanufactured engine and asked for it to be sent to Alabama. The engine arrived on time. We brought one of our friends from LA to help with the install, but he ran out of time before he is could finish. Dad and me tried to figure out how to finish hooking up the motor, but at some point it was above my echelon of repair skills. We decided to send it to the local dealership, figured they would be able to get it completed. The guy from the dealership got the truck hooked back up and started, but ran into some coolant leaking issues. He believed that it was a blown head gasket and could fix it, if I gave him my first born, left kidney and right testicle. Toooo much money for the job, so I took it to another shop to have them run a diagnosis and trouble shoot the issue. The new mechanic said the same thing, blown head gasket. It's been months and now to hear this is heartbreaking. Dad calls MTZ upset and ready to do legal work against them, they say bring us the motor. The motor had zero road miles on it, just start and running for a few minutes in the different shops. After the motor is pulled and loaded up, I head back to Houston to have it checked to see what happened and if it was damaged, or pick up a replacement. As soon as I get to the shop, they off load the motor and in front of me, remove both heads. Well come to find out, the head gaskets were still good. Come to find out, on the back of the motor, the back plates did not make a complete seal. Since it did not seal, water was leaking it the exhaust and the oil(wish I would have known that, before driving all the way back down to Houston). I gotta say, these guys went out of their way to work on a problem, they did not create. Speaking with the owner, he expressed how in this business. They can make mistakes and will honor anything they did wrong and try to fix it. But in my case, even though they didn't have to be cool about a problem they didn't create, they were down to troubleshoot and ensure, the product I'd be taking back to Alabama was good to go. I will be heading back to Alabama in the next few minutes, with a motor that was disassembled cleaned and reassembled with another new head gasket installed. I'm giving five Stars for the customer service part right now. But my truck should be running in the next week, and I will do an update. But from the warm and fuzzy feeling I'm getting from watching these guys work, I believe it will be just as good next week.
